  1. I believe "Pitcher" is actually spelled "deGrom". HA! and that is not to be in blue. That was just plain funny!
  2. Fact is, if we don't trade some of our prospects now, we will lose some of them during the off season because they all will not fit on the 40 man roster. I'm torn, and flip flop on a daily basis on what we should do.
  3. oh brother... Sure seems like deGrom is going to be available. The cost makes me shudder, but the thought of him as a Brewer gives me happy thoughts.
  4. Hopefully blocked from this site FOR-E-VER!
  5. I read that it's just a paper move to give him a rest before he starts game 3,4 or 5 after the break. Apparantly not, he is starting Wednesday night in Appleton!
  6. I have never been a WAR guy, too many holes in that stat for my liking.

  10. It's beyond brutal, it is gut-wrenching.
  11. No doubt, this has been going on since Yost, and probably even before him. I knew the questions that we all wanted asked after yesterday's debacle were not going to be asked, and they weren't. I like Counsell as a person, but there is nothing wrong with holding him accountable, which a lot of posters on this site refuse to do. As a fan base, we have the right to expect the best, and questioning decisions made is part of being a fan.

  13. With that logic, should Cain be gone too? His decision to steal 3rd today wasn't too wise either, especially when Yelich had a base hit the same at bat that would have scored Cain from 2nd.
  14. A lot of factors lead to this week... They just didn't get it done, and all we can do now is look towards the 2nd half. I don't know about you guys, but I need the break too. lol
  15. No place for optimism in this thread. How could there be. That was a brutal loss as a fan. It's not always sunshine and roses, even for people who are above negative feelings.
  16. Are you even a Brewers fan? Geez
  17. Will they ask Counsell about pulling Williams and leaving Knebel in the game too long in the press conference? Listening now, and it's the same old crap.
  18. I don't know if we'll make the playoffs, but I know going for anything significant in short term pursuit of a 1 game wild card is a bad idea, and I do know this team ain't winning the central. It's complete deja vu from last year. 5.5 up at the break, vanished in days. 2.5 up in the division just days ago, now a 2.5 game deficit. We're not outlasting the Cubs. You are just being "reactionary" and "know nothing about baseball."
  19. Let the fans be fans... The only ones who can complain about the reactionary fans are those who have never been reactionary, which is pretty much no one on this site.
  20. Agreed. Jennings threw one breaking ball and it almost went to the backstop. BS if you ask me. Everyone is constantly wiping their hands off, need a new ball every pitch, batter calling time to wipe his bat off and bring of helmet. I mean seriously? Why were we rushing to play and why did the umpire not call it? After that near wild pitch it should have been stopped. Clearly his pitches was being effected to the point he couldn’t even pitch anymore. Yet, play on? Had there been no pitching change, maybe the rains don't factor? lol This is fun, but it's true. Had Counsell left Williams to finish it off, the delay of getting the new pitcher in the game might have allowed it to end, by Willaims, before the rains came that hard.
  21. CC has his supporters no matter how many boneheaded moves he makes. It was that way with Roeneke, it was that way with Yost, and it will be that way with Counsell. This game is on Counsell, and no amount of jockstrap sniffing can change that fact.
  22. disgusting. absolutely disgusting. great BP management CC. I wouldn't be upset in the least if CC got canned after this debacle. just horrible.
  23. I suppose it is a save situation, might as well leave Knebel in there... *ducking*
