  1. ...since a lot of minor league teams are doing Sandlot bobbles this year, I was hoping this might mean another special event bobble night for the Brewers!
  2. The shows I look most forward to watching are as follows: Walking Dead Better Call Saul Fargo Orange is the New Black American Pickers Survivor Big Brother After those, there are a lot of shows I DVR, but I could live without them. One that is on the bubble for me is Designated Survivor. Great concept to start, but now it is shark jumping almost every week. I really like The Good Place and Corporate. Big Bang Theory is always good for laughs. The Mick is also a show I enjoy, and The Detour is hit and miss. One week it is really good, then the next is meh. EDIT: I left off LA to Vegas, so far I have really enjoyed this show... It is actually funny every week!
  3. Will Orimoloye stick in Carolina? I didn't think he did enough last year to move up.
  4. ^ any way you look at it, that is a whole lot better than the garbage we were trotting out there last April...
  5. I find this unbelievable. Not only the school should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this, but the WIAA as well. Boy, things sure have changed in our society... Convicted Felon Who Averages 29 a Game Will Play In State Tourney. https://wktysports.com/2018/03/13/recently-convicted-felon-who-averages-29-a-game-will-play-in-state-tourney-against-central/
  6. Win the world series, and it isn't even close.
  7. Choi is a great story this spring training, but we don't have the make-up outside of a couple trades happening to keep him.
  8. I think it would be foolish to think Nelson will be contributing this season at all. I'd go into this season thinking he will not be a factor, then if he does come back strong, that is a bonus. Setting up our rotation counting on him is a major mistake. Anything positive he does add would just be a little icing on the cake...
  9. Who are we kidding? The entire rotation as it sits could be a major disappointment. All we can do at this point is hope that Anderson's 2017 wasn't a fluke and Davies takes a step forward. If either of those to falter, and Chacin doesn't deliver to the level most here think he will, we are basically screwed. Add Nelson to the list of GIANT question marks as well. There is always the chance that he comes back ineffective and injury prone the rest of the season. We are playing with fire in a major way.
  10. There it's opposite. Sit on third base side to get shade. thank you!
  11. Same question for a Cubs day game... Anyone have experience at Wrigley?
  12. Thanks!
  13. Thanks for the advice!
  14. Any White Sox stadium vets with experience? If I plan to go to a day game in June at the White Sox stadium, and I plan to sit in the lower level, which side of the stadium will see the least sun? In other words, are there better places to sit so we don't just bake all afternoon or doesn't it matter? Heading to a game June 14th, and would prefer to find some shade if possible, but would still like to be in the lower level... Thanks!
  15. And some on here think Braun is a 4th OF. He's arguably our best hitter. He's also arguably only our 6th most productive position player, behind Yelich, Cain, Santana, Shaw, Arcia. Arguments can also be made for Pina and Thames. DFA Braun!
  16. If Arcia can continue to develop as a hitter, we are going to score a crap ton of runs this year!
  17. Probably would need to add a reliever in the mix probably Drake or someone similar. DONE! Broxton and Drake for Swihart!
  18. Rangers sent C Brett Nicholas outright to Triple-A Round Rock. Nicholas cleared waivers after being designated for assignment last week. The 29-year-old could still be considered for the backup catcher job, but the Rangers could look outside the organization before Opening Day. Source: T.R. Sullivan on TwitterMar 13 - 3:08 PM
  19. He already had a noodle arm before the injury, imagine what his throwing arm will be like after the injury. Time to cut ties.
  20. Maybe that 5 million is going elsewhere, and we don't know about it just yet?
  21. Like others have mentioned, I can't wait for this off season charade to end. I don't remember another off season that was so painful. I have enjoyed seeing the new attitudes by GMs though, things may be finally changing on the free agent front, but I'm sure next season will see the same old rich getting richer BS...
  22. Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports that the Phillies' contract with Jake Arrieta includes an opt-out clause after the second season. Arrieta will earn $30 million in 2018, $25 million in 2019 and $20 million in 2020. The right-hander has the option to opt-out after the 2019 season, but the contract also allows the Phillies to void that potential opt-out clause in the form of a two-year extension for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. In that event, Arrieta would earn $20 million per season for those two years, with incentives that could drive it up to $25 million per season. All told, the final deal could wind up being for five years and between $125 and $135 million. Source: Jon Heyman on TwitterMar 11 - 7:35 PM
  23. Ummm, HH was a fraud, that is common knowledge now, not sure you want to list what he was doing as a leak...
