  1. If anyone will have an extra Paint Your Own Bernie Brewer bobble from 2016 to trade, please let me know... I should have plenty of extras of past and present T-Rats. Thanks!
  2. Fang Whiffer Dual this Saturday, assuming they play... Gonna be a rough weekend to play baseball...
  3. Just curious, why are you asking that question? Did you hear that was the case from somewhere?
  4. Boy was it cold, but baseball is back, and I'll take any chance I can get for my first live baseball game... They had a nice little scrimmage, got my first look at Isan Diaz, who roped a triple off the left field wall in his last at bat. They gave out free hot dogs, popcorn, soda, and autographs similar to what they do on auto Sundays. It was cold, and I felt bad for everyone who suffered through it, but it was worth it. I got Monte Harrison on an 8x10 I had left over from last year. Isan Diaz on the sweet spot of an official ball, and Gatewood on a T-Rats mini bat, signed in bronze. Looks awesome! Bring on opening day! http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n136/turborickey/Jake%20Gatewood%20Auto%20Mini%20Bat_zpskgtdjv2y.jpg http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n136/turborickey/Monte%20Harrison%20Auto%208%20x%2010_zpswga6mp2n.jpg http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n136/turborickey/Isan%20Diaz%20Auto%20Ball_zpsmtb2oelb.jpg
  5. Releasing Morales and keeping Capuano? I question this move strongly... Morales hasn't allowed a run in 4 innings, has some upside and we keep old man Capuano based on what, the fact that he was once a Brewer? Silly move imo.
  6. I think the problem here is that you come off as all knowing and arrogant when you state things as fact that are no more than opinion... That demeanor sometimes rubs people the wrong way on a message board. Just saying.
  7. I am so looking forward to this season! I know we will not compete for the playoffs, so going into this season is just plain stress free. It will be fun to watch this team grow not through wins and losses, but through improvement and thoughts of the future. This will be a fun season, and the team I get to watch in Appleton is going to be a blast as well! Things are looking up for this franchise, there is no doubt about that!
  8. I dabble on ebay sales myself, but mostly bobbles. The thing I hate about ebay is the fees, and on top of the ebay fee, the paypal fees. What I hate the most is the fact that the ebay selling fees aren't enough for them, they also take 10% of the shipping cost, which partly explains why so many over charge for shipping. I understand why they take 10% of the shipping fee since so many sellers were charging ridiculous shipping fees and really low item fees so their ebay fees ended up lower, but it really stinks for the honest sellers... As usual, the honest people have to pay for the dishonest scumbags of the world...
  9. I'm right there with you, having turned 50 myself this year... I think it is a generational thing for sure.
  10. It isn't shocking, but they should have come clean if then original truly did die or was replaced... I just wish they'd put this Hank charade to rest and let the little mutt ride off into the sunset. NO MORE HANK THE DOG BOBBLEHEADS!
  11. Just curious, why do you say that? Did you read something?
  12. Thanks for the replies guys! Still debating on a few, always good to get input...
  13. Thurston Fluff, why is that in blue, that is EXACTLY what is going to happen, you can count on it.
  14. I have a couple keeper situations that I am more than perplexed about. Situation #1: 12 teams, very active and competitive, total point scoring Took first place in the league last year. I can keep 5 players 1. Votto (1B) 2. Correa (ss) 3. Braun (of) 4. G. Stanton (of) 5. Kershaw (sp) 6. Sale (sp) 7. deGrom (sp) 8. Tanaka (sp) 9. Wainwright (sp) 10. Stroman (sp) I know for certain I am keeping Kershaw, deGrom and probably Sale. This is a pitcher heavy league, if I drop an ACE, I'll never get him back as the league values pitching a LOT! On the flipside, I can't imagine throwing guys like Votto, Correa, and Stanton back into the draft pool either. I know I'm letting Braun go, so I can cross him off the list. Losing Wainwright is going to hurt, and Tanaka is a wild card in my eyes. The one who intrigues me, that I might be able to get back via draft is Stroman... Some extremely tough decisions to be made in that league for sure... Situation #2 12 team VERY active and competitive league, total point scoring I can keep 6, won this league last year by 500+ points, just killed it! 1. Prince Fielder (1B) 2. Lindor (ss) 3. Altuve (2b) 4. Bumgarner (sp) 5. deGrom (sp) 6. Kershaw (sp) 7. Sale (sp) 8. Scherzer (sp) 9. Syndergaard (sp) 10. Rodon (sp) Kind of the same situation as situation #1, very heavy pitching league, if you drop an ACE, they will be drafted and gone for good! I am extremely inclined to keep all 6 starting pitchers. Always seems to be an injury, and with my pitching covered, I can concentrate on nothing but offense and closers for the first 10 round. Then there is Altuve, who is consistently ranked the #1 2B in fantasy baseball. In fact, I haven't seen a single website yet that didn't have him at #1. With 2B typically a weak fantasy position, he is another guy I might have to hang onto, to do so, I'd have to dump Syndergaard back into the pool. yikes! This is who I am thinking of keeping: Bumgarner, deGrom, Kershaw, Sale, Scherzer, and Syndergaard... Situation #3 10 teams, total point scoring 2nd place finish last year keep 7 1. Abreau (1B) 2. Lindor (ss) 3. Mookie Betts (of) 4. deGrom (sp) 5. Sale (sp) 6. Strasburg (sp) 7. King Felix (sp) 8. Syndergaard (sp) 9. Wainwright (sp) 10. Matz (sp) 11. Stroman (sp) 12. Rodon (sp) 13. Kimbrel (rp) Same as the above league, pitching is a premium... As of now, I know I am keeping deGrom, Sale, Strasburg, Felix, and Syndergaard. The question now is, who will be the last 2? Can't really see myself throwing Abreu back into the draft pool. I'm pretty sure I won't be keeping Betts. Any thoughts on my "situations" will be appreciated. Always nice to have input on keeper teams as I tend to get pretty one dimensional. I usually have pretty good success with my strategy, but as you can see, I am going to be throwing a LOT of premium talent back into the draft pool this year. Thanks!
  15. Bryant, for the reasons stated above...also, I would think he would have some pretty good trade value if your league does a lot of wheeling and dealing...
  16. "Brewers manager Craig Counsell considers Aaron Hill the favorite to start at third base this season." Maybe I'm reading to much into it, but to me, that statement says that Hill will be the starter...
  17. "Brewers manager Craig Counsell considers Aaron Hill the favorite to start at third base this season." "Aaron is going to spend quite a bit of time there, especially in the spring," said Counsell. "How the season plays out, you're a little more open to but now I'm thinking Aaron at third base." Hill logged 33 starts at third base last year compared to 38 at second base. His primary competition at third will come from former Red Sox infielders Will Middlebrooks and Garin Cecchini. Source: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Feb 22 - 1:15 PM I see absolutely no reason to start him at 3rd base. What does it prove? It will not allow us to see what Will Middlebrooks or Garin Cecchini have to offer us in the future. I know, I know, some of you will pull the "flip card" and say if he has a good first half we can "flip" him for something at the deadline. If flipping players was half as easy as most here think, it would happen a lot more often. I myself am hoping he just outright gets cut before opening day. He serves no purpose other than to not allow us to get a good look at guys who MIGHT actually have a future with this team. Rant over.
  18. I tried to call in my order yesterday and was told I had to do it online. I had to order 25 tickets per game to get all those ridiculous fees dropped. If anyone has a ticket rep they use, I'd appreciate the phone number for future use, assuming going through a rep gets those stupid fees dropped. I'm with you Bikeage, it is robbery...
  19. Probably all 3.
  20. ...and Hank the Dog. woof.
