I disagree, I think he has looked excellent defensively... It seems that there are a handful of people out there that can't admit that he has done a great job on defense... Is the fact that he was once a Cub clouding people's judgement? I hated the guy as a Cub, but have fully embraced him as a Brewer, both offensively and defensively. The guy has filled in for Prince in the line-up pretty much without missing a beat! It was a great signing, glad we didn't trade him so we have some pop coming into next season too. -
We're down 4 runs in the ninth, and Morgan swings and misses three times. He needs to be smarter than that, but he's not. He doesn't provide us anything that Schaffer can't do, and the kid might be better if he's given a chance. .243/.303/.308 is not good. I'm done with Morgan too. I cringe when I see his name in the line-up, or even when he comes in late in games.

I have a sneaky suspicion that even if we get close to making some real noise, the bullpen is going to blow our chances anyway. I just don't think that the make-up of our current bullpen can magically turn things around at this point in the season. Since the bullpen ended our season months ago, I'm sure if given the chance, they will drive the final nail in our coffin at some time from now until the end of the season. They just suck, no getting around it.

I watched him for a full season as a t-rat, and am not quite sure why people think so poorly of his defense, or his arm. To me, he wasn't spectacular, but he surely was not below average defensively. Never once did I see him throw a ball in form the OF and thought he had a noodle arm. I would think he should project out to an average outfielder defensively in the bigs.

Then what do you do with Khris Davis? I would think Davis has to be considered a future outfielder for this team with his bat, same with Morris at 1B... I always see people suggesting we just change positions with our future guys. Switch Davis to 1B, switch Morris to OF. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Say we make both those switches, where does that get us?

Gosh, I really hate to beat a dead horse, but if the bullpen would have given up half the losses they did this season, we'd be in good shape for a playoff run... I know, "what ifs" get you no place.

Keep Maldanado, I don't know about anyone else, but I LOVE having 2 catchers on the roster who are starter type catchers. Play them both on a regular basis, get them both rest when needed, get them at bats when they don't start, keep them both involved, but hang onto them......for now. What a luxury it is to not have to play catchers that can't hit, or catchers that can't field. we know that each and every day we have a bonafied catcher in there, and to me, that is a wonderful luxury that most teams do not have. Unless some team comes at us with a deal that we simply can not refuse, keep them both.

Gomez admiring that hit is one of the reasons I have a hard time getting behind him. I usually love the guy, then he always seems to do something that makes me not like him again, like admiring a 2B off the wall instead of running... He just is not a very smart baseball guy.

I am 1000% thrilled that Ramirez didn't get traded... I didn't understand the people who wanted to trade him at the deadline, and still don't. If we can get another solid starter and rebuild our bullpen for next season, this offense will continue to mash, lead by Braun and Ramirez... I just have a hard time seeing our offemse without him at this point. He has pretty much done what Prince did for us and for a LOT cheaper than Prince would have been... Not to mention, had outplayed Prince defensively. Our infield defense is so much better with Ramirez at 3B and Hart at 1B compared to the trash we put out there last year. I love Aramis Ramirez.

Aoki scratched according to rotoworld. Norichika Aoki was scratched from Friday's lineup against the Pirates. Aoki is dealing with some stiffness in his neck from a collision during Thursday's game. If it is not an SGA, then it does not belong on the master list imo... It should be on the "other" list, but not the SGA list.

Does this include our manager, oh wait, we already extended him... I never want to see K-Rod in a Brewer uniform again. Once he has his walking papers, along with the rest of these bums that populate our BP, it will be a relief.
