  1. Getting Frankie freaking Montas for Wiemer means he had no value, none, zip, zero, zilch. Pretty sure they dumped Junis so they didn't have to pay him, making what we have to pay Montas a little less.
  2. The graphic they showed before the game of all the guys the Braves have on the IL is amazing. Big time guys out for the year, yet, they are still in the hunt.
  3. Chourio is a thing of beauty! So happy we locked him up when we did.
  4. yeah, he's bottoming... gross trade. Why trade Junis when we obviously need long middle relievers. Montas is just a guy. If Joey figures it out, we get to have him mash on us the next half decade. If he doesn't fugure it out, he'll still mash on us, even if he sucks against everyone else.
  5. See what I mean? Lots of game left after the 4th inning...
  6. Ok, then I am out on Flaherty... He alone without another SP of his caliber plus a really solid bat or two just isn't going to be enough to improve our chances for a DEEP playoff run. I'd hold and hope our guys coming off the IL are enough to get us to the playoffs.
  7. No frickin' way do I give up Wilken + for a 2 month rental. UGH!
  8. Pratt to the T-Rats, exactly what I've been waiting for. I guess I'll be at the yard most of this week after all. lol
  9. Which in all actuality, means nothing. If he thinks the Rangers are going nowhere, you really think he says no to a trade that puts him on a contender? (not just the Brewers, but any team...)
  10. Yeah, I'm all for removing that injury threat and getting a starting pitcher for him.
  11. Is Flaherty only a rental? Is he under contract for 2025?
  12. Good points, and I have no answer.
  13. Yeah, with his track record, that is a dangerous game to play.
  14. According to another source, so are the Yankees. In order to land him, we are going to have to severely overpay, and that scares me. I soooo didn't want to trade Wilken or Boeve, but it looks to me like one or the other is going if we want Flaherty or any other pitcher that will help us out.
  15. The over use of the bullpen isn't about individual players use, it's about the whole group as a unit. If what another poster said above is true, that the Brewers have the 2nd most relief innings and THE least innings pitched by starters in MLB, then yes, the bullpen has been over used to the detriment of the team. Another example of people cherry picking stats to benefit their point. No offense LouisEly, that isn't why I made this post.
  16. Because the novelty of having him actually play 3B in a regular season game has worn off. They must see that it is a bad idea.
  17. Pham is trash, probably a throw in to balance off $ or something. Not sure of Pham's contract, but I can't stand that guy.
  18. Are the Rangers selling? If so, then I'd love to nab Scherzer!!! Kansas City Royals acquired RHP Michael Lorenzen from the Texas Rangers for LHP Walter Pennington. The Royals are holding onto one of the final wild card spots and wanted to improve on Alec Marsh in the final spot in their rotation, so they went out and landed Lorenzen. The 32-year-old has experience in the bullpen and the rotation but currently holds a 3.87 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 74/48 K/BB ratio across 97 2/3 innings with the Rangers. It’s a literal move for Lorenzen in terms of fantasy appeal since he remains on a solid team in a good pitcher’s park; however, he should get an easier schedule moving into the AL Central which isn’t such a bad thing. 2h ago Source: Texas Rangers
  19. According to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman, the St. Louis Cardinals are making a strong push to acquire RHP Erick Fedde. Heyman reports that there is “nothing definitive but some momentum there.” Fedde has been solid in his return to MLB action after one season in Korea, posting a 3.11 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and 108:34 K:BB ratio in 121 2/3 innings. He would be a solid addition to the end of St. Louis’ rotation as they make a playoff push, but if the Cardinals were to acquire Fedde, that could push Andre Pallante back to the bullpen. 20. I hope not. What does he offer that Hoskins/Bauers/Sanchez don't? No interest, none.
  21. If this is right, I hope we don't do it, really hope we don't do it. I'm just not on board with Fedde given this is the only season he has been anything worth considering. He spent last year overseas, and maybe players haven't quite got him figured out yet. I just don't trust him as our big piece acquisition.
  22. No mention of the Bauer Bomb? Nice shot!
