  1. If Bauers is doing this in July, I will eat my words. I'm all for riding him while hot, but what he is doing now, he hasn't done before for an extended period of time. I still think he will be DFA'd at some point, depending on how long we stick with him when he comes back down to earth. When he does come back down to earth, I'd guess we keep trotting him out there for way too long before we finally decide he needs to go.
  2. My wife and I just took the test, and we both scored 8. Not that I was worried, but just found it interesting that we got the exact same score.
  3. Thought I'd give a nod to Khris Davis who is officially retiring from baseball. He was a really fun player to watch in his time with the T-Rats! Khris Davis officially announced his retirement from professional baseball. The 36-year-old slugger hasn’t appeared in a big league game since 2021 and hasn’t seen the field at all since his time with the Kentucky Wild Health Gnomes of the independent Atlantic League in 2022. He finishes his career hitting .242/.314/.491 with 221 homers and 590 RBI over 980 games in nine seasons with the Brewers, Athletics and Rangers. Best of luck to Davis in the next chapter of his life. Source: Bob Nightengale
  4. Just have to make this one difficult huh?
  5. Looked good compared to what, his previous 4 games? He was struggling, no doubt about it, but we have o either crap or get off the pot with him. He needs regular at bats either with the Brewers, or down in Nashville. Benching him for 4 games straight, then tossing him in the fire with bases loaded was a very questionable call imo.
  6. Watching games won't help you with that since he has spent the week on the freaking bench...
  7. So all this complaining about Frelick and Perkins but who do we replace them with? Chourio is an obvious choice, then who? Not that I don't agree, watching them gags me, but what are our options? We just have so many black holes in this line up right now, and Murphy isn't helping matters by assigning Ortiz and Chourio to bench duty on most nights. As we found out when Yelich was hurt, him not being in the line-up hurts, REALLY HURTS this team.
  8. The mishandling of Jackson Chourio continues.
  9. I liked it better when Freddy was our 3rd best pitcher. He is so frustrating.
  10. This feels like a game we are just not caring much about since we won the first two. Stupid. We will need every win come September, no sense in punting a game because we already have a split wrapped up. I bet Freddy looked at the line-up and cussed in Spanish so Murphy couldn't understand him.
  11. Yeah. I meant Contreras, not Gasser. But now I get it, Ruiz was in that deal, which helped us get Contreras.
  12. I meant Contreras and Payamps. My bad.
  13. Gasser and Payamps didn't have anything to do with the Hader trade did they? Was Ruiz part of that deal?
  14. Ummm yeah, but he also played like absolute trash for two years during that time, so there's that. Can you say you were never one of those people?
  15. ...and Luis Lara. I have brought up this concern recently, but no one really agrees with me. There just aren't a lot of guys little in stature that go on to have big MLB careers. I mean, Altuve is the obvious exception. Robert Moore was another guy who was just little. He's been traded, so I haven't followed him this year.
  16. Where did I say that the Brewers are horribly run/Brewers front office sucks? Where did I say the Brewers are incompetent? Speaking of Hyperbole? Please. He's had 16 total at bats in the last 9 games. All I am asking is, what is the plan with Jackson Chourio? What is he getting by riding the bench? We obviously disagree, so there is no need for further comment on my part.
  17. Ok, so you think that what they are doing with him is ok? Do you really think that having him ride the bench is the best thing for him and the team? I don't care what his pace is for PA, he is rotting on the bench when he should be playing. You are fine with that? I sometimes think that people just tow that company line no matter what, and only look for excuses when it comes to this team. Chourio needs to be getting at bats someplace, not riding the bench. Hopefully, they are starting to figure out that Ortiz needs to play, now if they can just figure out a plan for Chourio.
  18. What does he need rest for? Kid needs to play, if not with the Brewers, then with Nashville. He needs at bats, this is getting ridiculous.
  19. I don't think Robert has even come close to his hype. Add in the fact he is injury prone, and what is the real benefit to adding him if it costs us the farm. If it were a reasonable ask, ok, I'd listen, but to be honest, I'm just not that interested in guys who are hurt a lot to add to our Yelich injury issues.
  20. Next up for me on Tuesday is the new Planet of the Apes flick. I've liked them all so far, so it's a must see for me.
