  1. ? Can you link us? I don't see the thread you are speaking of.
  2. He was my favorite Brewers player as a kid in the 70's...
  3. So you think that the guy we pinch hit for a bunch of times (Chourio) will enter the game late for someone else? Why would we let Chourio enter the game late when that is when we always sub for him when he starts? If this is the case, then I am pretty confused.
  4. Maybe Murphy is starting crappy vets based on Counsell's recomendations from the Cubs dugout.
  5. Counsell played the crappy vets, Murphy plays the crappy vets. We should have known they would be the same exact manager in a lot of ways. Need a series win vs the Cards, which means we need 3 of 4. I'd probably settle for a split, but don't want to...
  6. Can't read it without being a member...
  7. Blue Chips - Always really liked this movie, and sends a good message about the crookedness of college basketball and college sports in general. Keeper! The Blue Lagoon - I have a soft spot for this movie. Just a great watch and happy to learn that the 14 year old Brooke Shields was not nude in this movie, but instead, they had a 32 year old stunt double fill in for the nakedness. lol Keeper. Blair Witch Project - This was scary as hell in the theater back in the day. Add to the mystery that a lot of people thought this was actually real footage from the missing filmmakers at the time...(pre internet boom, so it was easy to make people believe stuff) Anyway, keeping it for nostalgia's sake, but it was fun to watch again.
  8. All true, however, we are at the point that we know, WE ABSOLUTELY KNOW, that Yelich is going to hit the IL 1-3 times a year. We still don't seem to have a true offensive plan outside of watch the top free agents sign in the off season, then pick over the scraps and hope. I get it, it's what we do, but if our offense rides on the back of a guy like Yelich, who simply can't be counted on for a complete season, then we have what we have now. I mean, he can go down for 3 weeks to a month at anytime, now, next week, or right before a playoff run. Our offense and it's success was going to depend on our young guys, and so far, that hasn't worked. Thank God for Contreras!
  9. I'm sure most don't appreciate it at all. Also, changing the batting order every game is also a distraction, plug him into a regular defensive position, and place in the line-up and let him play if we are set on keeping him up.
  10. This! And for God's sake, stop pinch hitting him for guys who are more than likely going to suck even worse than he is right now... Love his future, but his present isn't quite ready yet. IMO
  11. Ok, but he never lit AAA on fire. He could have used some more refining there, and I'm not sure that can be argued. Yeah, we paid him the money, but some more time in AAA can and would do him well. Probably not possible with our depleted outfield, but if they sent him down at their first opportunity, I'd be fine with it.
  12. Meh, we'll have to agree to disagree on your point of the day before never being a factor on the following day's line-up. You can't tell me that today was a planned off day for Ortiz. He hasn't played enough to have a scheduled off day.
  13. It feels like Contreras is ALWAYS on base. Love it!
  14. Not for the Brewers it doesn't. I disagree with your assessment. I bet a lot of managers make line-up decisions based on recent success at the plate. You'd be foolish not to take that into account. There is something to be said for hitters when they get hot or have a good day at the plate, and letting them play more when things are going right. Penalizing them for having a good day the game before is stupid, and we do it a lot. Counsell did it, now Murphy is following suit.
  15. Yelich back! YAY! Dunn in the line-up. BOOO! Chourio on the bench and Bauers in the line-up. BOOO! Would make a lot more sense if Bauers was at 1B for his defense, but having him start in the OF while Chorio rides the pine is stupid. Ortiz and Hoskins hit homers yesterday, but see the bench today. Are we sure that Counsell isn't writing out the line-up cards and texting them to Murphy?
  16. Actually, he played in Biloxi last night, went 1 for 3 with a walk. He's BACK!
  17. Frelick and Wiemer, and I suppose you can throw Mitchell in there as well since he can't stay healthy...
  18. Yeah, I just don't see him sticking at 3B. Glad we have two studs on their way in Wilken and Boeve!
  19. We were guaranteed to get to Lugo tonight, I started him in a salary cap league because he has two starts this week, so I would have bet the farm he has a bad night! You're welcome Brewers fans!
  20. Another night without Bauers and Dunn in the line-up! YES!
  21. We need at least 2 starters, and at least 2 bats.
  22. Which in my opinion is way outdated, and I'd guess that more than half of the current posters have no idea what that even is or means. It truly seems clicky, and I'd much rather just have the icon be for laughing... Now, get off my lawn!
