  1. Give up Brown Jr. AND Blalock for 2 months of Kikuchi is insane. Nope, not going to do that one. Adding a guy like Kikuchi isn't going to strengthen our chances of beating LA or Philly in a playoff series. There would have to be a lot more moves made before that one would interest me. We are what, at least 2 top notch starters and a big bat from being serious about advancing in the playoffs. I'm not trading Brown and Blalock for 2 months of a starting pitcher that isn't having a very good year as it is.
  2. ****Waiting for our stat gurus to come in and tell you that ERA means nothing.
  3. Perkins is inching closer and closer to being my favorite player this year. Love the way he goes about business.
  4. It's all about his ability to stay on the field. He hasn't proved that he can stay healthy. Yeah, he'd look great in our line-up, can't argue that, but trading the farm for a guy who will more than likely play less than 100 games a season is the issue.
  5. He doesn't suck, he just isn't a #1. He was a great #3 behind Woodruff and Burnes, but he simply can't shoulder being our #1.
  6. He's the best tagger outer in the entire freaking universe, and don't you forget it Mr.!
  7. I simply do not want to deal Henderson. Just don't want to do it. They can have the others.
  8. But the real question is, is he still the best tagger outer at 2B in MLB? 😀
  9. Awww crap. No way this ends well. *sigh*
  10. Ummmm, I am going out on a limb here, and saying that that offer would draw laughs from the Sox front office.
  11. None of which matters when he inevitably is on the IL...
  12. It was only a matter of time before he wore down, and that time is here. I don't know how anyone in the dugout didn't expect it to happen at some point. By that I mean Pat Murphy. He needs a breather, and once that meaningless record is established, hopefully they can give him a 1 or 2 game rest.
  13. He just came of the IL from getting hit in the face... I think he needs some rebound time.
  14. Robert played in 68 games in 2021, 98 games in 2022, 145 games in 2023, and has only been on the field 10 games in 2024. We already have an outfielder in Yelich who can go down with a back injury anytime, and of course Mitchell. I just don't want to spend the trade capitol on an often injured outfielder to add to the injury filled mess we already have.
  15. It wasn't too long ago that he got hit in the face, directly in the face, and was on the IL for that injury. There is bound to be some rebound time after getting drilled in the face. I think he'll be fine once he has his head back in it.
  16. Prove me wrong then. The guy can not stay on the field, and has yet to live up to his hype.
  17. UGH! Robert can't stay on the field. Just can't. I can't see that changing in the future, guy is fragile. Not a chance in hell I'm including Boeve in any deal for Robert. I view Robert as completely over-rated, add his injury history to the package and I'm simply not interested. I'd much rather trade the farm for starting pitching than a guy who will be hitting the IL constantly.
  18. If that would get Crochet, I'd jump at that deal! I no longer believe in Wiemer, Black would hurt me though... Dunn, buh bye!
  19. I would do #2 so fast it would make your head spin. I ignore any offer where we add Wilken. We need to keep that guy to solve our 3B issues. Next year with Wilken at 3B, Turang at SS, and Ortiz at 2B is an infield we can keep together for a long time. #3 is intriguing, but again, including Wilken gives me heartburn.
  20. I wonder why? Catchers need days off, it's as simple as that.
  21. I agree with this. Seems the move to lead-off has gotten in his head a bit. Maybe not, but I think his issues started at the time he was moved to that position.
  22. Yet we still keep running him out there in those situations. :(
  23. Totally agree, love watching this kid! I do question his hitting at the high levels and MLB level due to all the stuff he has going on with his stance, his timing, and his swing. Just watch him, every pitch he is ultra busy keeping all that movement in check.
