  1. Meh, we all knew this was coming. I'm not upset about it, just hope he rebounds and has a great year, playing for his possible last contract...
  2. Another guy mentioned here as a possibility. I'm against bringing these retreads in unless they are dirt cheap... Mariners declined their one-year, $12 million team option on INF Jorge Polanco. Polanco instead receives a $750,000 buyout. The 31-year-old was not effective in 2025 with a .213/.296/.355 slash in 469 plate appearances, and he underwent surgery to repair the patellar tendon in his knee earlier in October. He’s expected to be ready for the start of the season, and there will assuredly be interest from a club that hopes Polanco can find the form that made him such a strong option with the Twins.
  3. THIS makes me SOOOOO happy! Brewers re-signed OF/1B Ernesto Martinez to a minor league contract. Martinez registered an .832 OPS for Biloxi in 2024. He’ll provide organizational depth for Milwaukee in 2025 with an outside chance of making his MLB debut over the summer.
  4. Yeah, I don't get it either, unless someone overpays for him, it makes no sense. I'd say he is easily our #3 best right now.
  5. Never, not one single time, have I ever taken one of your posts as condescending. Carry on as you always do............please!?
  6. I'd be curious what the market would give up for Trout at this stage?
  7. Just came across this blurb about him. Not a fan of signing him for anything other than a prove it year for really REALLY cheap... Thought I'd post this since there was some conversation on the board about him. White Sox declined their $25 million option on 3B Yoán Moncada for 2025. One of the least surprising moves of the offseason. Moncada has never lived up to his immense prospect hype and has played more than 104 games just once since 2019. However, he has a career .756 OPS and nine percent barrel rate, so somebody is likely going to take a gamble on him entering his age-30 season. Perhaps being in a part-time role will keep him healthier, but he’s likely to sign a short and inexpensive prove-it deal this offseason in the hopes of resurrecting his value across the league. He will receive a $5 million buyout as compensation for his option being declined.
  8. Anybody counting on Woodruff next year is setting themselves up for some disappointment. No way he can be counted on as one of our top five, anything we do get from him next year is pure gravy...
  9. This seems like a pretty flawed way to conduct business. How does the odd man out, who isn't one of the hottest three, get back to being one of the hot ones? Depending on a manager to play the hottest three bats at any given time, seems a bit strange. This isn't taking into account past history vs a pitcher, L/R match-up, etc. Yeah, this isn't a good strategy in general, much less realistic in today's game.
  10. Currently watching Barney Miller, complete series. So much funny writing and just plain great characters.. What a classic show!
  11. The Box - Good concept, but falls flat. Can't believe this was ever in my collection to begin with. Gone! The Bucket List - Great movie! Keeper.
  12. I was going to post this exact thing, you beat me to it. He often takes routine plays and makes the throws as you describe, and it makes no sense that this hasn't been corrected.
  13. DH, 3B and 1B as of now, today, are massive holes, especially when considering that those are typically power positions. Can Hoskins rebound? Might he be able to fill one of those holes either at 1B or DH? We shall see. We have no idea if Sal can even play a passable 3B, much less a good one. Power is just arriving? What does that even mean? So he will be flying out to almost the warning track rather than short outfield? Geez.
  14. Saturday Night Was a good watch, but I felt anxious the entire movie. lol Even though I knew it was all going to work out in the end, it still had me feeling uneasy throughout. Is it a must-see? Nope, but still enjoyed it.
  15. What other spot? 1B? Hoskins will be back, we aren't going to pay him 18 million to ride the bench. DH? We know Yelich will be there, Contreras on off days, and probably some other unwanted journeymen that we sign in hopes of catching lightning in a bottle. 2B/SS? Pretty sure those positions are already covered with Ortiz and Turang, they aren't going anyplace. C? Contreras, enough said. OF? We have Chourio, Mitchell, Frelick and Yelich when he isn't DHing. Who would we replace? Seems to me that we will have to add some kind of power at 3B, or we keep Ortiz at 3B and add a power hitting SS? Unlikely.
  16. This is why you endless stats guys aren't always right... Those numbers you just posted look awesome, but ask Yankees fans about those unawesome games. He had his struggles too.
  17. Exactly. Was just going to post this same stuff, but you beat me to it. Yes, his numbers look really good, but when adding those appearances, I stand by my original statement, He had his struggles too...
  18. He had his struggles in the post season too...
  19. Which is probably exactly what Murphy would do with him. Adames is gone, so he just slides right into his spot in the order if that is all we add to the roster. Gross.
  20. He's just not a bat I'd want anchoring 3B for the next three years. Very "unspecial" and if he hits so poorly playing half his games at Coors Field, why would we want him here? I expect better, Brewers fans should expect better, the Brewers organization should expect better.
  21. ...and water is wet. I'll be shocked if Adames isn't in Dodger blue next season. If that is the case, I hope he drains them dry!
  22. Joker: Folie à Deux’ Yes, I read the reviews and I ignored them like always. Just a horrible movie. All the singing was completely out of place, and the movie just sucked. Loved the first one, but this was a total waste of time and money.
  23. I really want nothing to do with a trade that makes Ramon Urias the centerpiece. Surely we can do better for Williams than Ramon Urias. If not, then just keep him and take the pick in the next draft.
  24. I disagree on both points. He shows zero loyalty to the Brewers, we are his back-up plan. He most certainly is doing it for the money, if not, he would be doing full seasons with the Brewers, not just a game here, and a game there.
