  1. I believe bringing up Gamel to play thrid against lefties is the right move at this point. Granted he is tearing up AA right now, be the guy can rake and is a lefty bat. We would lose some on defense, but who care right now. We need a jumpstart to this offense. Counsell for Hardy and Gamel for Hall against righties would help our lineup out a ton.
  2. Since you haven't been to the doctor in over a year and have a history of thyroid problems, I would suggest you go see the doctor to make sure everything is ok.
  3. My wife too is a huge fan of the show. However I keep reminding her that for her to ever be on the show that I would most likely have died tragically or contracted an incurable disease of some sort. Hopefully she'll be happy with never being on the show. Hopefully the Klangs and Wisconsin get some love again on that show. I know they had done one in Wisconsin in the past and the support was overwhelming.
  4. MLB 2K8 for thw Wii is pretty cool in my mind. Having to flick the remote up to start the windup and down at the right time as well as swinging with the remote is what makes it more fun. It gives you more of a controlled feeling as opposed to just pressing buttons. Zelda is also a great game, although I needed to follow a walkthrough I found online to get past certain parts, but I spent about 60 hours playing that game with my five year old enjoying watching me play it. Another bonus to the Wii is the ability to download hundreds of games from older consoles like Nintendo and Sega among others. I saw techmo bowl and double dribble available for 5 bucks. I have a question about the new Mario Kart. Is it able to be played ok without the wheel. I know you get one wheel with the game, but you would need to buy 3 more of them for others to play.
  5. The neck problem is solved very simply. Buy a girl's gillette sensor razor and use that in the shower. The blade will work for a good month and it's almost impossible to cut yourself using one of those things. I use that in the shower and a basic electric razor for the rest of my face.
  6. I did not mean anything threatening by what I posted. I am not downplaying the fact that he is at a very good point in his life and I would love to be in that same situation. All I am saying is that he is fortunate to have had built a house for cheaper than what most people pay and was able to get a great loan not available to most people. Those are big things that helped him accomplish what he was able to accomplish. I know that I too make a lot of sacrifices, but with two young children, I know I will not be out of debt for at least 20 more years, and I'm perfectly ok with that. I do not know if Jwill has any children, but any money I would be putting towards debt is definitely being spent on them. Again, I am not taking anything away from him. What he did is truly a great accomplishment.
  7. Well, it appears that having numerous connections allowed you to pull off this feat so early in life. Most of us are not as foruntate to have all those things fall into place like that. I'm surprised your wife or someone in your wife's family doesn't work at or own a car dealership too http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif But congrats. You are very fortunate.
  8. I'm guessing a 900 square foot home is not going to be your home for the rest of your life so I wouldn't be all that concerned with a warranty or the roof leaking. Even the cheapest shingles last a good 20 years. I would find the cheapest bid available and take it. The best way to roof a house is to get about 3 friends and knock it out in a day and a half for less than a grand. But if that's not possible than find a contractor or a someone for a side job. Do not overspend on your roof because speding $1000 vs spending $5000 will do nothing different for the resale value of your house. Roofs don't sell houses, kitchens do http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  9. Does anyone here have any personal experience with any weight loss pills that when combined with diet and exercise seemed to work really well without any weird side effects?
  10. I was watching the end of the FSN broadcast replay last night and it was mentioned that Fielder switched to using Joe Dillons bat in the 8th inning for the double and the in the 10th for the HR. Just thought it was interesting that that's what it took to get his first HR.
  11. They had about a zero percent chance of making it past this year as a franchise especially with the new indoor team coming to the Bradley Center next year which is a higher league then the Bonecrushers. I went to the family night about a month ago and the only thing worth noting was that there were desent looking cheerleaders all over the stadium.
  12. Volleyball is still probably #1 for me although having played all through high school and college and then having 2 shoulder surgeries has limited it for me. My shoulder finally feels strong, but since I am 33 and want to be able to play a sport until my 60's, I choose to limit my volleyball and just play softball in the summers. The winter is reserved for bowling and dart leagues.
  13. I would do what I did at my old house and put a front deck porch in front of your house. That way you can just leave all the stupid crap underneathe the porch instead of digging it all up. Front porched look nice and are extremely functional.
  14. I just switched to Verizon from US Cellular at the end of February. I got my first bill which I misplaced and had planned on paying but kept forgetting. Note that I always pay my bills on time. The bill was due March 21st and yesterday was the 31st. I tried making a call yesterday and got directed to the financial dept and was told my phone was suspended for lack of payment. A reconnect fee of $15 per phone, I have 2, would be charged. I was floored that they disconnected my phone after 9 days of non-payment without so much as a courtesy call. I can think of no other service that would do this. I made my payment over the phone while calmly voicing my displeasure with my new cell phone company and asked that the $15 fees be waived. She said she could do it for one of the phones. I said why not both and she immediately said, ok I can do it for both as a one time courtesy. I had to wait over an hour to order a pizza while my phone was being reconnected. So I guess this is more of a company issue than customer service issue but I had to vent somewhere. Only 23 more months with Verizon.
  15. Yes I can. I'll try and post is by tomorrow.
  16. Tell me about it. Everything comes in 3's. First my sink was royally clogged, then the washing machine, and now this.
  17. Does anyone on here fix hot tubs or knows someone that does? I have a small leak coming from one of the PVC pipes underneathe my hot tub. Normally I like to find a way to fix things myself, but I do not see anyway for me to pull this one off. It's kind of in a difficult place for me to get at it. Thanks.
  18. Thanks a million FTJ. That is exactly what was wrong. I did a search for that problem and step by step instructions on how to get to the coupler and replace it. About a 45 minute process which included going to Sears to get the part. I was all set to look for a new one this weekend and dodged a bullet.
  19. I have a Whirlpool washing machine in the 10-15 old range that the spin cycle just stopped working on. It pumps out water but it does not spin. My question is this. Is this something that I can possibly fix myself? If not, does it make sense to pay someone to come and fix it versus buying a new one based on the age of it? Thanks.
  20. Success. I rented a 25 foot power snake from Wisconsin Rental near my house for $30 and I snaked it down all 25 feet and everything seems to be working fine. Thanks for your help everyone.
  21. Do you guys think that I could rent a power rooter from like The Home Depot and do this myself successfully?
  22. Well, I tried snaking from the pipe in the basement after unscrewing the square cap and I was able get down about 5 or 6 feet and cannot force it down any further. I can now run the water for about a minute before ot clogs. I'm thinking a plummer may be my best bet at this point. Any idea how much that might cost?
  23. Since the drains would be connected at a the main with a y joint, you may want to check that.So my question is this, would the clog be at the "y" joint if I can run water for 30 seconds before it backs up or does that just mean that the clog way down in the pipes and is probably something that I can't get to?
  24. My house was built in 1977. Not sure where the pipes run, but I will check that when I get home tonight.
  25. Currently when running the disposal, the water will drain in that sink and back up into the other one. Not sure if that means it's clogged or not. I was not aware a roof vent could effect my plumbing. I will look into that.
