  1. True Blood on HBO is pretty good so far after two epidsodes. And Entourage comes on right after it. which is always awesome.
  2. I would 100% suggest going the seperate blanket route. I cannot sleep well at all sharing blankets with someone. The seperate room thing when the kids get older is a situation I don't want to get involved in as "special time" will need to be disguised much more than need be now with a 6 and 3 year old. As Trwi7 stated, it kinda gives it away when both parents are suddenly in the same room. Being quiet won't do much in that scenario.
  3. The reason for the change in scoring in volleyball is to keep the length of the games down. Without rally scoring, games were taking way to long that people stopped watching the sport altogether. So the scoring change was done to increase the fan base by having faster paced, higher scoring games.
  4. Ditto on the mentioning switching. They will lower your payment. They onkly lowered mine by $20.00 though. By the way, I tried switching to AT&T since the website said my address was eligible, but they spent 3 hours at my house to determine that I was not within range. So I called Time Warner to get my payment lowered.
  5. My guess would be one of three things. GERD, acid reflux, or just a muscle strain. Anything chest pain related should always be checked out. Especially if you have insurance.
  6. A few years ago, a friend of mine threw a bachelor party for his brother that included renting a 15 passenger van for the day and then having a series of 10 different events at different locations. We started at 9am and finished around 10 pm where we convened at his house for some drinks and cards. We had about 12 guys and we called it the King Tournament. Each event is scored on a 1-12 basis and the person with the most points at the end wins the giant trophy and bragging rights. This does take a bit of planning, but it is well worth it. This September we will be having our 5th annual King Tournament because it is such a good time. An example of events are mini golf, frisbee golf, home run derby with tennis balls, javelin throw(plastic javelin bought online), go cart racing(there is an indoor go-cart track that times your fastes laps), shuffleboard, punt/pass/kick, BB gun target shooting, etc. We have done over 35 different events. Total cost is about $50 per person. There is no better way to have a bachelor party.
  7. Why not just go with "Marino's Ring" and forget the Super Bowl part. I think they'll get the drift.
  8. I can mostly agree with that sentiment. But I do find it a little funny to hear this coming from someone with the screen name ewizabeff http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif What worked for me, and I waited too long to do, was to get my son to the dentist. We waited untile he was a little over 3 years old and he had 9 cavities due drinking a lot of juice and then using the NUK. I would wean your child to just using it for naps and at night and when you go to the dentist, put them all in a plastic bag and have your child give them to the dentist so the dentist can give them to the "other babies" that need them. Worked perfectly.
  9. Looks like it will be dry until next year at the earliest. Probably a good idea to make sure that what happened never happens again.
  10. Figured this needed it's own topic. Absoutely crazy that something like this could happen http://www.startribune.com/local/19655574.html?location_refer=Local%20+%20Metro
  11. Does everyone realize, I assume that most do, that Cameron is now a career .250 hitter that K's once every 3.6 AB's and has never batted over .270 for an entire season? Kapler is currently at .330 for the season and .272 for his career. I feel pretty comfortable with Gabe in the lineup right now.
  12. Well this thread sure took a turn, didn't it?
  13. Any explanation for that bat that appears to be standing up all by itself?
  14. You are concerned about McGrady getting hurt but not Davis? Before this year, he played in 63,54,46,67, and 50 games since 2002. T-Mac has been way more durable than Baron in comparison.
  15. The important thing is that the umpire knows what the rule is. But it is definitely as soon as the ball is touched. Wether it actually gets called correctly is another story though.
  16. I filled one out at the Bonecrushers opening family night game over 2 months ago. They are still calling me. They have probably left me over 50 messages by now. I would answer it but now I just thinks it's comical. Maybe I feel like I'm keeping someone employed by having to make calls all day long.
  17. Going camping in the middle of Nicolet National Forest about 4 hours north of Milwaukee. 3 nights with 7 guys, lots of beer, fishing, and cribbage. We will be eating smoked ribs and cooking a turkey in a man-made outdoor oven that cooks in about 2 hours and is beyond delicious. And the weather is looking good, if you can trust the weathermen that is.
  18. Augustin is not TJ Ford. He is 6'0 and the same height as Chris Paul.
  19. Draft a point guard. There are several to choose from. Mo needs to be moved to shooting guard unless he can be traded. If top 5, take Mayo or Bayless. If not, drop down to 12 or so and take Augustin or Westbrook.
  20. A couple things to add about my Midas experience. They told me the wrong part two different times when I asked them what was wrong. It was the EGR valve but the guy kept telling me EZR. Probably didn't want me pricing out the part on the internet. Also, I remembered a friend of a friend's dad has been a mechanic for 40 years so I called him and he agreed to help me out. He wanted me to get the diagnostic code from Midas and they proceeded to tell me P400. That is not an actual code. When I went to pick up my car last night I asked for the code again and he first told me P400, and when I said that is not a real code, he told me the correct one which is P0401. Anyways, the diagnostic equipment may cost a ton on money, but I just paid $70.00 for the same thing that AutoZone charged me ZERO dollars for. I took it across the street from Midas and had them pull the code for me, they do it for free for anyone that doesn't know that, and they got the same code that Midas got. Anyways, this is all a lesson learned and after all of this, I do not care how good of a deal they give on brakes, I will never take my car back to a Midas. Fist step is to replace the gasket($1.69) and clean the EGR valve. If that doesn't work, then I can get a new valve at the GM dealer cost. .
  21. Excellent advice everyone. I will contact a friend of mine that has some car knowledge to see if he can help me out. I will try just cleaning it before I do anything else. I will also disconnect the battery to get the light to go away. I just had the emmissions done so I should be good for the next 2 years. Midas was actually suggested by my dad who recently had his brakes done. After this, I would agree that they give great deals on brakes to get people to come there for all of there repairs and then gouge them pretty good. As it stands, I have cancelled the repair, but still owe $65.00 for the diagnostic test. What ever happened to a free estimate?
  22. Just got my stimulus check deposited yesterday so of course my engine light came on. I have a 99 Oldmobile Intrigue with about 72k miles on it. I took it to Midas and they told me that the EGR valve needs to be replaced. The cost would be $494.00. That seems excessive to me but my knowledge of cars is weak. They also suggested a tune-up for about $350.00. So over $800 for a car that I could get about $1200 for. Does anyone know anything about the EGR valve and if the cost seems excessive or not. The only thing I could find on the internet suggested that the car would still be fine without replacing it. Any help is appreciated.
