  1. http://www.lazycloud.com/ I am going here next week in Lake Geneva. Seemed like a nice place for the price. Rooms include a hot tub and fireplace as well as many other amenities like bathrobes, candles, a bottle of champagne, etc. They have both an Inn or a bed and breakfast. I will be staying at the Inn.
  2. The question is, will they find a coffin big enough to fit her glasses in?
  3. They are in the stadium. Any playoff ticket in the stadium is a good one in my book. Hoping to win the lottery!
  4. My only suggestion is to maybe right her a nice long letter explaining much of what you are seeing from your end. I too have a defensive sister and it can be difficult to talk to a defensive person face to face about something like this. You have a lot of really important concerns and she really needs to realize that she is doing more to hurt this child then help him. Children need to experience things so that they can better be able to learn from their mistakes. If they hurt themselves doing something, they will instinctively learn from that and try not to do it again. Kids get hurt all the time, but children are very resilient. They need to be allowed to learn things for themselves and not be so sheltered. I think a very nicely written, non attacking letter could be a step in the right direction. Just make sure to phrase it that based on what you are seeing, that you have concerns and don't want anything that you are saying to be taken the wrong way because you love your sister and you love her child and want nothing but the best for both of them. Best of luck to you.
  5. I know that AIG is moving to a brand new building pretty soon since the Illinois state troopers are moving into that building.
  6. My company has an office in Springfield and could possibly have some decent job openings. I work for AIG. Also known as American General Life Insurance.
  7. Enjoyable topic started by Dhonks. No pun intended right?
  8. Thanks for the input. Apparently I am cell phone ignorant even though I've had one for 10 years.
  9. So I was trying to call my bother's cell phone in Minneapolis around 7:30 to give him Brewer updates like I do everyday and all I kept getting was static. I did not have knowledge of the bridge collapse at that time so I thought it was strange. Anyways, since everyone nowadays has a cell phone, can someone explain to me how satellite towers become overloaded making it not possible to make any calls? I can see how that can happen with land lines, but figured with todays technology that it would not happen with cell phones. (added tag --1992)
  10. Joe Dillon had back surgery and now he's back in the big leagues. Anything is possible.
  11. You realize this sets us up for Milledge to have about 10 hits with 4 HR's against us right? With the ways things have been going lately, I would not be surprised.
  12. Hollywood is a form of entertainment, whether it be movies or the crazy and stupid things they do out in public. Same can be said for athletes. Any time a well known athlete does something stupid, it is all over the news. Because it's entertainment for us. Also important to note is that there are thousands of atheletes and Hollywood types that lead normal lives and don't do stupid things for everyone to see.
  13. I would say the lot off of Miller Park Way(43rd street). That seems to empty pretty quickly and you have access to the freeway.
  14. Well, let's see where this thread takes us in a couple of days. If Weeks lead off again tonight and tomorrow, and goes 0-8, the tone of this thread will change significantly. It sounds as though many agree Weeks should be at the top, mainly because our short term memory shows us he's been on base 6 out of 8 times. Just don't jump all over the decision if there are some bumps in the road. I agree with Weeks, Hart, and then Hardy batting 6th.
  15. Also, as was stated in your origninal post, life is too short so there should not be another second wasted fighting about it. Both sets of parents want to do a wonderful thing for you and your family, that should be the main focus. If anything, get everyone together and hash this out before it causes any more problems for anyone involved.
  16. I would suggest going with your parent's first since it means so much to you parents to see the kids and in all fairness, your parent's brought it up first. Go with your parents during spring break time and then go again with your in-laws right when the kids are out of school in June. Provided you can swing the 2 weeks vacation, it seems like a win win for everyone involved and your kids get to spend 2 weeks in Florida.
  17. Most places to sit at Miller Park are good seats, but I would get them soon as we are actually selling out a lot of games lately and a Saturday is sure to be close to a sellout.
  18. It makes more sense if we are moving Hall back to 2nd base and sending Weeks to the Minors. Our team would be unstoppable if we moved Hall back to the IF
  19. Turnbow essentially has a crew cut compared to what he used to have.
  20. Sheets will miss at least 6 starts.
  21. I agree with most of this thread, but Ned did not pull Bush before the big inning. He let Bush start the 7th, and Bush gave up an HR and a single to lead off the inning. And it's hard to justifiy keeping Weeks out there when he's hitting .217 when Graffy is hot and also playing great in the field. Almost wish Ricky would go down to Nashville for about 2 weeks to figure things out and come back here with a venegence for the stretch run.
  22. What about the Carousel Hotel which include passes to Mt. Olympus which is Family Land, Go-Karts, and Roller Coasters all in one. Anyone stayed there before?
  23. Pretty sure I wouldn't settle for a Fielder jersey for a ball that will be worth over 1 million easy. Being that it's Bonds would make it that much easier on my conscience selling it.
  24. That's the nice thing about the NBA as it makes it easier to keep your free agents because you are allowed to go over the cap to re-sign them. Every team has a mid-level exception that they can you can that number changes every year. Since Miami is over the cap, they are relegated to using the mid-level exception so they can only offer him 5.4 million per year. Mo would be crazy to leave a 5 year 40 million contract on the table to sign with Miami just to play with Wade, coming back from injury and can opt out of his contract in years I believe, and a older, slower Shaq who has maybe one or 2 years left in the tank. Mo can retire at the age of 29 with a crap load of cash. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
