  1. It reminds me of Hardy after his All Star appearance last year.
  2. at least they showed some life. If not for that 3rd it's a different game, I'm encouraged.
  3. man, the tension. edit: is the Brewers in the playoffs great or what?
  4. Right, I agree with all these things about Parra, and it's why I never started the thread on the board.
  5. I really doubt that happens. Maybe if he were right handed but it is rare enough to go starter to RP with that kind of stuff and even more rare to go closer as a LH.Right, that's true. Still, I think he's got the stuff and I'm not convinced he's ever going to be a more than a back end starter. He reminds me a lot of Zito, and he always has, even before his struggles this year. I know he's young, and next year could be different with this year under his belt.
  6. I'll just throw this out because I never thought it was worth it's own thread, but I think someday Parra is going to be a good closer.
  7. man, it's something how they're able to do that 1-2-3 thing so often. they should get some sort of badge.
  8. Yeah, I don't really feel that bad because it's not like they've fallen behind in this game in some new, unimaginable way. They look good, like they belong, except for one inning, which is pretty much the way it's been all year. And, the offense looks like you'd expect to against Hamels. So, the game isn't over, the series is just starting.
  9. I'm already numb. It's like when you walk in the rain you eventually get so wet you don't care. It's the same when I watch the Brewers suck!
  10. what bothers me also, is that if the Brewers play badly it makes me want to avoid the other games, and I like watching the playoffs.
  11. I don't want to be a downer, but objectively, wouldn't you pick the Phillies? The Brewers are deservedly the underdog, for a lot of reasons. I still think the Brewers are a good team, and I know they get disrespected a lot, but the Phillies won their division, finished the year hot, swept the Crew just a few weeks ago, and were here last year.
  12. I think Yo has pitched as well as can be expected, and Cam was brought in for his defense. In that particular case his defense could have made up for Weeks/Hall, and he didn't. Sure, Gallardo walked in a run, but never should have been in that situation if his teamates had done their thing. edit: completely agree about the offense
  13. Should have been 0 runs, but there is still time left.
  14. I was just letting myself think, they look like they belong. And they do, but it's hard to watch right now.
