  1. Anybody else just hear the Pirates TV guys singing about Maholm? BA's not that bad!
  2. This has been a slow game. Still a lot of chances.
  3. This is my fault, I started Looper on my Fantasy team tonight! Lot's of outs left.
  4. Hopefully this doesn't get as 'exciting' as the Blue Jays near no-no last year.
  5. It was just mentioned on the radio for the first time. Bummer.
  6. Bob said 'pinch hitter,' I thought he said 'Mitch Stetter.' I was confused.
  7. At first I thought the 'don't talk about it theme' was overdone, but I've been convinced. Playing along is what it's about, and in general BA has always struck me as a little bit of a dud. This is just further evidence.
  8. I'm glad I'm DVRing this game so that I can review BA's behavior!
  9. Yeah, I really don't know what the Brewers were thinking when they hired him, but he's not good. Watching on Extra Innings I haven't seen very many Brewer's broadcasts, but I've thought he was pretty likable. I think 'sideline' reporting is kind of silly anyway, most of it is just filler. The info I get on these in game threads is better than 99% of sideline reports.
  10. He's right, I'm not usually one to say 'sometimes the truth hurts,' but sometimes it does. He was asked a question by the media and gave a response, it's not like he went out of his way and posted this on his own blog somewhere. I also don't think it's fair to say he finally broke out and he says this. Sure, he hasn't played up to his level, but he's walked quite a bit and he's been pitched differently this year than in previous years (very few strikes). To me, this is leadership because he's pretty much right on, and he went out of his way to call out every aspect of the team, not just the pitching. And anyway, the pitching has been terrible. Only 3 teams have allowed more runs than the Crew. You can't win that way regardless of how powerful your offense might be.
  11. Man, there's a break, or rather a good play. Hope they can hold it, or even add on.
  12. The Mets announcers give everybody heat. They are some of my least favorite announcers.
  13. When I asked for a comment-worthy 9th, this isn't what I meant.
  14. I guess we aren't supposed to comment just comment, but I've found very little worthy of comment in this game, so I guess that's my comment. Make the 9th comment-worthy Crew!
  15. or he really is learning how to take pitches. This is the first 3 walk game of his careerHe's not seeing many hittable pitches, and he's starting to hold off on them. I don't think there's anything to be too worried about.
  16. I agree, and my impression is that he's not seeing a lot of strikes. He's taken a lot of hit-able first pitches, and then seeing a lot of stuff off the plate. I think if he shows he can be patient consistently things will turn around because they'll have to start throwing more strikes.
