  1. I have a hard time letting go of a hundred dollars for a jersey...but 3,680 bucks! I just don't see how a jersey, even if it is is game used, can be worth that much coin.
  2. No items showed up when I clicked on the link.
  3. Check your Inbox Hawing.
  4. I'm fairly new at collecting Bobbleheads, so I only have those from the Friday nights this season. I don't have a whole lot to offer you. That's why I was curious as to what you're looking for in return.
  5. What would you be looking for in a trade for these blue Sutton's?
  6. I have an extra Money that I'd trade for a blue molitor. PM me
  7. Thanks for all the advice. I ended up purchasing the road hat on the sounds official website. Almost all of my hats are dark colored. I purchased a the current Brewer hat as well as a Twins "TC" hat as part of a buy one get one half off deal years ago. Both those were dark. 8 years ago I bought another dark hat as I purchased the black Cincinnati Reds hat with the red brim. Now, before you jump on me for buying a Cincy hat, I bought it because I stayed a week with Danny Graves father-in-law, who ended up asking if I liked baseball. When I said yes, he took me with him to the Reds spring training facility. I got to see Barry Larkin and Ken Griffey Jr., as it was the first year he was with the Reds. It was really cool. Then, to top it all off, I was able to go to Danny Graves apartment. By the way, that was the year he was an all-star. It was pretty cool! To make a long story short, almost all of my hats are dark, so that is why I went with the red. Both look good though! JJ, did you purchase your hat directly through the Sounds website or at their actual ball park? Was it a real stiff brim? I bought a new Brewers hat this spring and it had a flimsy brim when I opened the box. I thought there was no way I could get the curve I wanted. Only after getting soaked after the Brewers/Giants game in mid-June did my hat finally conform to my head, and my brim curve how I wanted it. I'd be interested to hear more about the brim of your Sounds hat JJ and how you dealt with it.
  8. I need some help deciding which Nashville Sounds hat should I purchase? It's either the home hat, or the road hat. Which do you prefer? I'm leaning toward the road hat. I just think it looks sharper. I look forward to your feedback. (consolidated tags --1992)
  9. What bobbles are you looking for?
  10. I'm not basing anything off of wins and losses. I just failed to explain my point clearly. You said it how I wanted to say it. My point was that he is serviceable, and the 9-2 record is just gravy. I felt the original post made it seem as if we could do without CV the elder and not miss him. I disagree with that notion.
  11. I'm pretty sure that type of response is not allowed. In response to your "point", Vargas has been fairly consistent this year, even though he hasn't gone deep into games. The Brewers have a good record in games he pitches. He also must be doing something right to garner a 9-2 record. He's been one of the few constants this year, in that you know what you're going to get when he goes on the mound.
  12. I agree with the sentiments shared here. As far as Linebrink as the closer...I'd give it to Turnbow first. I would slide Linebrink into Turnbow's role and let Cordero pitch in less pressure filled situations. I don't know what it is with Cordero. I think the problem is that he is very predictable out there. It seems like most of the hitters know he's going to throw his slider, especially with two strikes. His fast ball has velocity, but it is straight as an arrow. Like I said, I think he's too predictable. He has trouble locating his slider, but when he does locate it, it is on a tee. Does anyone recall how many blow saves it was before Turnbow was removed from the closer's role? I'd have to say Cordero is very close to that. Even the games he does save, they are close calls. Cordero had an impressive showing vs. Arizona last week I believe, but that's been the exception in the last month or two. Maybe they should have Turnbow close on the road and Cordero close at home. It sounds silly, but it wouldn't bother me one bit. In any event I think it's time to sift through the options in the pen. I don't know about anyone else, but whenever Cordero comes into a game to close it out, I have very little confidence in him. A couple days ago in the paper he talked about having a sense of urgency. It's definitely time that he finds that sense himself and stops blowing saves.

  14. Per Rotoworld: "Bill Hall was diagnosed with a high right ankle sprain after landing awkwardly while trying to rob Ryan Doumit of a homer in Tuesday's game. A high ankle sprain can be a 6-8 week injury, though the Brewers refused to place a timetable on him today. They'll likely recall Tony Gwynn Jr. and have him share time with Gabe Gross in center field until Hall returns. Corey Hart can also play some center, which would open up right field for Kevin Mench. Jul. 5 - 7:50 pm et" Let's hope it's not 6-8 weeks. It seems like pure speculation at this point.
  15. I'd like to be a part of this drawing too. Thanks in advance for this opportunity!
  16. I think Vargas is serviceable, but his record is highly deceiving. He always seems to be falling behind hitters, especially today. He fell behind Doumit 2-0, grooved a fastball and it's a tie game. He falls behind LaRoche 3-0, and he hits the go ahead homerun. It just seemed like he was falling behind hitters all day. Compared to the rest of the Brewers starters, he's got the worst WHIP: 1.51; he's got the worst SLG% at .484; Highest pitches/inning pitched averaging 17.69 and has the highest walks/9Innings at 3.82/9IP. He also has given up the most HR's on the staff with 17. Now, I'm not a huge stat guy, and perhaps the stats I've chosen aren't that important, but I think they put Vargas' performance into perspective.
  17. I heard a report on WSSP this afternoon that there is a rumor of the Bucks trading #6 and Bobby Simmons to Phoenix for Shawn Marion. It's only a rumor and it came from Gery Woelfel (it's also in this link . Whether it happens is another story, but more interesting rumors to talk about.
