    At one point last year, JP and Ueck were ripping on Jose Guillen something fierce! It was absolutely hilarious. It was one of those times where Ueck was just one a roll, and JP couldn't stop laughing. They went on about Jose Guillen for a good 3-4 innings. It was really comical. Does anyone else remember listening to that?

    I'm not sure I buy the whole "the Brewers aren't going to trade Cameron to the Yankees because they overbid for CC" argument. I think it has been way overblown. I recall reading a clarification from Melvin, in essence saying he wasn't surprised at the offer. What he was surprise about was that two hours after the offer was made it was breaking news on ESPN. I think Stark and other "club officials" are reading way too much into it myself. But what do I know. I'm just an avid Brewer fan.

    I found that interesting as well. I wonder though...will he certainly not accept it because he is holding out for more? Or will he certainly not accept it because he really doesn't want to play for New York, as Gammons reported? I'm not sure which one it is, but from the little I've heard about Sabathia, I'm wondering if it isn't the latter.

    I would definitely be interested in offering Kerry Wood. I know Melvin said he's going to wait on relievers until later, but I don't think Kerry Wood will be around until December/January. I'd like to see them make an attempt to go after him sooner rather than later.

    I'm ok with the Braves getting Jake Peavey. I'm not overly familiar with the Braves farm system, or major league team for that matter, but it doesn't seem as if this potential trade will really put them over the top. Losing Yunel Escobar will hurt a bit I would imagine, but I don't think this trade will make the Braves a legit contender. If anything this seems to fill the hole Tim Hudson left after his arm injury.

    I thought I remember last year that in order to take the Fiesta Garibaldi shuttle, you had to spend a minimum of 25 dollars inside the restaurant. A friend of mine was told that. Does anyone know if that is/was the case?

    That is a very tempting offer, one I would probably pull the trigger on without a doubt. I would imagine the Brewers would have to add something to it to make it work. I do wonder though, if the Sawks weren't willing to include Ellsbury in a deal for J. Santana (was Bucholz' name tossed about in that proposed deal as well?), what would make them interested in including one if not both of him in a deal for Fielder? I suppose it's not an apples to apples deal, so it may be different. But I think I would seriously consider that offer, and potentially take it.

    If you're referring to Haudricourt on the D-List this morning, I'm almost certain that he said Maddux, Castro, & Sedar were "close" to signing contract extensions. I don't recall him ever saying that they officially had signed extensions.

    I don't know why, but I have this gut feeling that the Brewers are going to be serious players in the Jake Peavey sweepstakes. I'm still not convinced that he's going to be traded, but I really think the Brewers will ultimately be active in talks with the Padres.

    I'd like to see his option picked up. I don't think there are many better CF's out there via Free Agency. TwoLiveBrew's tidbit changed my outlook on Cameron, not that it was bad before. Thanks for that info! It does appear, however, that if Cameron's option is declined, he may not be unemployed for long. Yankees Interested In Cameron

    sweet... make sure you at least say hi... I have seats 11 & 12 and I'll be wearing my white Prince Fielder jersey. Legacy...will do! I don't know what seats we have exactly, but I'll likely be wearing my authentic retro Friday Ryan Braun jersey, if I get it on Friday like I anticipate. Be sure to say hi back!

    Yes...that is the one thing that truly annoys me during every broadcast. For whatever reason, whenever he says that I feel like the AFLAC duck when it walks out of the barbershop after hearing Yogi Berra's classic lines: "aaaaaaggggghhhhh" (shaking head in confusion). I wish Rock would hit him and say, "You only say 'would be next' if there are two outs in the inning." But I'm probably expecting too much out of Rock on that one. Otherwise BA is a pretty good play-by-play guy.
