  1. Yeah Strawboss...it hits the spot. I used to eat it every so often back in the day when it was offered at certain functions. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  2. No. I was in 419. Close though.
  3. Yup, it was played last night. I also saw it at the game on Sunday. It's quite comical. People seem to get a good laugh out of it. It never failed that both on Sunday and last night, friends of mine came into the row with two beers in their hands, only to have our group and then the people around us shout "Hey...it's a two fisted slopper baaaaaaaahaaaaaaa! Get security" We should really grow up, I know. Good times at the ballpark.
  4. I'm not gonna lie...that video was quite amusing. I think I heard someone on the video say "This sucks" and "Turn this off!" Hilarious!
  5. I would agree. But I do think that this instance of booing can be more easily justified based on the reasons stated above. I personally am not a booer, but if he does enter and is booed, I'll likely have a wry smile on my face, nodding my head in approval. As far as booing Jenkins, that would be a travesty in my opinion. The guy played his heart out, but the team had no intentions of resigning him. I hope, after his classy exit in the last game of the year, the fans would refrain from booing him.
  6. I, too, have an extra. If anyone is interested, shoot me a PM.
  7. Oh, but if good ole' Herb wouldn't have interfered, Simmons, Gadzuric, AND Charlie Bell would all have been dumped for Zack Randolph. I understand Randolph has character issues, but you were dumping three ungodly, immovable contracts for one in Randolph. I'm sure at that point in time Kohl was still thinking playoffs and formulating a plan on how he could use the money from their playoff ticket packages to better the team next year.
  8. Did Melvin just tip off who is going to be the backup catcher? He said they have a good idea about who is going to be the back up, but didn't say who. Then, when Cliff asked about Kendall hitting 9th he said, "With Rivera, you can't do that." Or something very similar. Did Doug just give it away?
  9. I have an interest in #2 and #3. What are you looking for in return?
  10. I voted too. Best of luck to her!
  11. MBHA summed up the NL Central "preview" well. Kruk's player to watch was Ben Sheets. He said that if Sheets doesn't start 30-32 games and win 18 of them, the Cubs are going to run away with the division early. I know the National media loves the Cubs, but there's very little objectivity in those predictions. I find myself constantly scratching my head how often the Cubs are hailed for their offseason moves. Fukudome is the only major move I can think of. But of course, what is always over looked the Brewers player progression. I know...not as sexy as signing a guy named "Fukudome" and hyping up Wood as closer. March 31st can't come fast enough!
  12. While I am a Badger fan first and foremost, I watch Marquette when I get the chance. I just want to know why James seemed to have no urgency bringing the ball up the court on the last possession. It seemed like he thought there was more time on the clock then there was. It was a pitiful way to end the game. It looked like no one knew what to do or who was supposed to be where. Tough way to lose.
  13. That was a very good read, no doubt. I don't follow the minor leagues all that closely, but it's exciting to know that our system has the potential to produce more quality MLB players. Great work!
  14. What a freaky thing that would be to see...wow. I live about 15 minutes from Milton, in the middle of farm country. I hope that cougar stays far away, especially considering my kids love to play outside on their swing-set.
  15. I think mine is pretty self explanatory. It's time to go get us some Cubbies.... P.S. Just an aside...I love Anchorman.
  16. I agree. That proposed trade should have been accepted in a heartbeat. You get rid of an ridiculously overpaid and worthless Gadzuric, an overpaid Bobby Simmons, and a player in Charlie Bell who doesn't want to be here in the first place, for a solid big in Randolph who, granted has some off-the-court issues and a large contract along with Fred Jones? What am I missing from the Bucks perspective? Unreal...
  17. I actually thought the photo was pretty sweet myself. I guess I'm in the minority.
  18. Sitting in the back yard, grilling, with an ice cold Miller Lite, listening to Bob and Jim call the action; spending a week in the beautiful Northwoods fishing, jet-skiing, just laying low; playin' some softball; Going to Brewers games with all the sweet smells of Miller Park...I'm salivating...
  19. I'm younger (27) and thought Tom Petty was good. I've always enjoyed his music to begin with. The previous Super Bowl acts had me begging for more. This one had me curious, and I'm glad I didn't flip the station. He played a lot of good songs. I liked it.
  20. I probably should have qualified my statement by saying "It'd be sweet to see that thing up close...as long as it was outside my picture window as I gaze at it from my living room." As FtJ said, it'd be cool in theory, but not in reality. That picture from Spitter is quite amazing.
  21. RockCoCougar's name is sure fitting today. A cougar was confirmed to be in Milton, which is only 15-20 minutes from where I live. It'd be sweet to see that thing up close. Maybe RockCoCougar knows something we don't?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/devil.gif
  22. Bartolo Colon with him...
  23. All I can say is wow...that is truly remarkable. The fact that he couldn't see well a 90+ mph object coming toward him while batting, or perhaps couldn't see well the catcher's mit, or a line drive coming back up the box is a scary thought. That he didn't get seriously hurt is a miracle. The only thing I'm wondering is "What took him so long?" It will be interesting to see what kind of year he has next year.
  24. I only have one game for my PS2, and it's MLB The Show 07. I love that game. All I play is "Career Mode." It's very addicting. I'm curious to see what The Show 08 will be like. Doubt I'll buy it right away, but interested nontheless. I agree with the comments about defense. In one of my seasons, Carlos Lee was playing for the Yankees, I believe, and he was playing CF. He was getting to balls in the gaps etc. I kept saying to myself out loud "If Lee can't get to balls in the gap in LF, how the heck is he going to get to them in CF?" Then I reminded myself it is just a video game. But I agree, I would like to see them pay more attention to pitching/defense than just focus on offense. I also would like to see them include an organizations top 5-10 prospects and have them in their minor league system. That would just add to total awesomeness of the game, in my humble opinion.
