Nifty dp there with the shift on. I really liked how Gonzo kind of surrounded the ball to give Rick time to go the bag for the turn. Also, nice stretch by Mat. dlk9s...its funny you say that as I too have always thought Gamel just looks like a ball player

I agree. He's made 2 mistakes and they made him pay on both. Other than that, good life, good movement, and pretty good command.

I missed some of what they said, but the gist of it was the new head groundskeeper came up with a new dirt mix this year for the infield that will play softer and hopefully smoother. -
Rickie is probably my favorite current Brewer, so this is not easy for me to say, but he's looked pretty terrible defensively in the very early going. A side comment on Ramirez, who clearly is nothing special defensively, but he does have a good arm - he just seems to choose to "fling" it over most of the time rather than really letting it go.

Sorry fellas...for the first time I was unable to get any extra magnets this year. The folks handing them out were extra stingy. But my bro in law will be attending an upcoming game in his company's suite and they usually have stacks of them in there so I will be sure to let you guys know in this thread if I end up with a bunch of extras from that.

Somewhere RRR weeps... Padres placed Mark Kotsay on the 15 day DL with a calf strain. His ST slash line was .345/.412/.414. Also random, the Padres optioned Everth Cabrera to AAA. -

You really think Ishikawa is going to get starts in RF when we have Gomez, Aoki, and Morgan on the team?? I find that hard to believe

I kinda like the move actually. My first choice would've been Green, but seeing that apparently was out of the question for whatever reason, I'd rather have Ishikawa than Conrad. It sounds like it may be a temporary decision (see how things play out for awhile), plus I feel Ishikawa gives you a much better PH AB than Conrad and gives us a plus defender at 1st for late inning situations. Should this result in Izturis getting too many at bats, I really hope they are smart enough to then bring up Green, Maysonet, or Conrad instead
