  1. Just saw this on Rotoworld.com... According to Jim Bowden of ESPN.com and MLB Network Radio on Sirius XM, Zack Greinke has hired Casey Close as his agent. Greinke downplayed on Monday whether he was close to choosing an agent, but he was obviously pretty far along in the process. The 28-year-old right-hander is due to hit free agency five days after the 2012 World Series and figures to land a contract in the neighborhood of Matt Cain's new five-year, $112.5 million deal with the Giants. 2. Agreed. I like George, but his arm atrocious.
  3. Not sure I've ever been less enthused about a player claiming an MLB roster spot in my tenure as a Brewers fan Even Yuni? I guess I should've been more specific ...my comment was in regards to a player that we did not know for certain was going to make the team. And even though I knew what to expect from Yuni for the most part, I wasn't as down on him as most because we really didn't have any other option

  5. I'm not so sure Conrad makes it (actually I hope that is the case). RRR mentioned that Aoki is so good against LHP that he could actually be their "RH" bat off the bench so to speak. Plus, they seem to be taking a long look at Ishikawa, which I like. This would mean Izturis gets all the ABs backing up 2B and 3B. That would just be a horrible idea. Actually, I am hoping they find someone better than Izturis (whether it be from our system or another...)

  7. I think everyone involved is hopeful, but at the same time I think realistically they expect him to miss the first 5 games.
  8. So...Pioneer VSX 1121-K or the Denon AVR-1912?
  9. You're going to be very disappointed if you think that series begins this Friday
  10. Grand Teton National Park is my favorite place I have visited
  11. I hear ya on all of this, but I for one am going to thoroughly enjoy "flying under the radar" in the eyes of the national pundits and strolling in and taking the Central again. Enjoy it indeed.
  12. Gumby looked much better with curly mop and stache than he did with the huge specs and sans lip sweater
  13. He won't be playing...he's nursing a sore/tight groin
  14. Other than Roenicke loving Conrad because he's a switch hitter
  15. That is just good stuff. Still laughing! Kurkjian was a great sport
  16. Actually he signed with KC. How many teams lined up to sign the guys like Renteria and Izturis? None and Milwaukee to a minor league deal. There just weren't any better options to be had last year. To be fair, KC did not sign Yuni to be their SS. He was signed as a utility infielder (2nd, 3rd, SS).
  17. I like Kottaras a lot, but I think it may be time to give Maldonado his shot. Watching George try to throw out base runners is painful. MM had a really good year at AAA last year and he's a fine defender with a great arm. Plus he's apparently a helluva barber
  18. RRR has pretty much already said Gonzalez will hit 7th and Luc 8th. I wouldn't expect that to change. He loves Luc in the 8 spot
  19. Once again, agreed, but I never said it couldn't be that simple. I said I would be surprised or shocked if there wasn't more to it.
  20. I agree that it was the best and only way to attack it by Braun and his team for a chance of being exonerated. I meant it would be shocking if he only got off on just the premise of the "technicality" of how the sample was handled. I believe there has to be more to it, such as his team being able to duplicate the elevated testosterone levels by replicating how the collector handled the sample, or something along those lines. I think it had to take some info like that to sway Das, above and beyond just the idea that the sample wasn't handled exactly to the letter of the law.
  21. I'll let you guys know if I end up with any extras. Typically I do
  22. We have no way of knowing that the "technicality" was the only reason Shyam Das sided with Braun. I actually would be shocked if that is the only reason
