No doubt in my mind he can go home to 3rd or 1st to 3rd faster than JJ. I really think Billy v.2006 is back for the most part

No one play doesn't mean that, but I have felt that way all along. Great hands, good arm, postions himself real well and gets rid of the ball quickly and accurately. Range is average IMO. At least that is how I feel watching him since he has been at the major league level

Well lets hope we got all of the garbage out of our system. Looper did not look good and that was a real bad inning for JJ. Cam and Prince saved us from more damage. Lets get some runs!

Thay may have not been the greatest idea by Weeks on that behind the back flip, but his momentum was going hard towards leftcenter and the flip was on the money. WAKE UP JJ!!!

Pretty surprised by this. I don't know what Julio provides. I would have thought him walking Moyer when he was ahead 0-2 to load the bases the other night would have been the last straw -
I agree it was Hall's E all the way. Real bad time for his first error and just a real bad throw. He should have just cut it loose instead of trying to goose it over there. I have a feeling that if you ask Prince he would say that when you see the throw is going to be that poor the most important thing would be to make sure you know the ball down in that particular situation, kind of like a catcher blocking a breaking ball in the dirt with the tying or go ahead run at 3rd. But who knows. Prince does seem to be catching a bit too much flak on this one. It probably didn't help that he looked pretty ugly in his attempt

Not saying you should expect Prince to pick that for the out, but what he needs to do there IS to come off the bag and keep that runner at 3rd

Let's get about 4 here! I did not like them sending Hart there when they did. I don't know if he was even to 3rd when Bourne got the ball. Glad it worked out though! Lets go Cam!

Good gosh DiMuro. Nothing like making Villa strike Erstad out twice after he should have been out on a pitch that has been a strike all game

In all fairness to Villa, that should have been a clean inning and a save, but I would appreciate it if he opts not to walk or HBP the leadoff hitter here

Because the count was even and at that point Berkman had moved to 2nd on the PB so 1st was open

Tough call with 2 strikes, but once it went even it swung the odds in Blums favor a bit more. Not a good matchup to begin with, with him being LH and a vet. A much. much better matchup for him against Towles. He was not good offensively last year and it a pretty free swinger iirc
