  1. I really like Macha but right now i am scratching a hole in my head. that may have been worse than yost
  2. Couldn't agree with you more. This makes no sense to me. I actually wasn't sure I wanted him out there for the 6th!
  3. Nice game Soup! You really picked this team up when they needed you and re-instilled a little faith back in the fans EDIT: Um ok, I assumed he was done. Can someone please tell me why Suppan was hitting there? Good grief!
  4. I was just going to post the same thing. I think he has done it at least once in every game. That ball actually went to the track and BA didnt say a word
  5. Is it just me or do Augie's eye bags look especially large this morning. Late night maybe?
  6. I hate to say it, but I do not feel confident about this game. Figueroa is just the type of pitcher that gives our guys fits. And I don't expect Suppan to be much better. He will probably throw strikes, but I don't think the results will be good. I hope he proves me wrong. I AM excited to get a look at Hardy and Hart. I bet Hart looks pretty funny
  7. I thought this was hilarious so I included the whole thing. Love Prince's comment. If that's not cool with the mods you are obviously free to take it out: Here is the Brewers' lineup for today: 2B Rickie Weeks RF Corey Hart LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder SS J.J. Hardy CF Mike Cameron 3B Bill Hall C Jason Kendall RHP Jeff Suppan Mets: SS Jose Reyes LF Daniel Murphy 3B David Wright 1B Carlos Delgado CF Carlos Beltran RF Gary Sheffield 2B Fernando Tatis C Omir Santos P Nelson Figueroa
  8. Looking at the splits I wouldn't expect much out of Kendall today, but that pretty much goes without saying so far. BTW razzzor, you still have the Mets vs Bush up on the splits.
  9. The Ice Man even goes down to Maryvale for ST - I saw him handing out "shivers" in March. He also told me he will be working the Loge level this season; not that it really matters
  10. Brewers 2B Rickie Weeks RF Corey Hart LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder SS J.J. Hardy CF Mike Cameron 3B Bill Hall C Mike Rivera RHP Dave Bush
  11. Ok thanks Invader. For some reason I had today's date stuck in my head
  12. If it were up to me I'm not sure if I would include Freeway. Not sure if any of you have ever met him, but he's pretty odd. Reminds me a little of that Woo-woo guy for the Cubs
  13. Am I the only one that thought I remember hearing tonight was the first broadcast in HD?
  14. I have the 200 also and love it! Hope you at least find a good deal on one!!
  15. This makes our bullpen so much more flexible and seemingly dependable. For some reason I haven't liked Riske since the day we signed him, eventhough he had some good numbers coming over. I was seriously scared at the thought of them bringing in Riske last night even up 6. Luckily they didn't - Macha went with Coffey which I think shows how bad he wanted that win seeing Coffey has been our most dependable reliever so far (along with "Dream Police") as I predicted he would be. 9 pitches later, 7 of which were strikes, and the 9th was over. I truly think Coffey will be a great asset to the team this year in sort of an unexpected way like Torres of last year. I don't know if Coffey will have to close much (hopefully Hoffman can take care of that), but I think he is going to be very solid. Throwing 95-96 with command along with a nasty slider makes him pretty darn effective. I was actually hoping Swindle would make the club out of ST but it wasn't in the cards. I am including some sort of anti-jinx disclaimer with this post because I don't want to put any bad omens on Todd.
  16. Sounds like a tremendous feast Backup!!
  17. I love the fact that Corey looks less lost at the plate and seeing him drive the ball the other way is awesome! He has the perfect frame to do it. But he is not crushing the low and away pitch. I know what you are saying southpaw, but he has swung at a few and layed off most - and that is a good sign. But the balls he has banged to right/right-center have pretty much been hangers, not pitchers pitches. Pitcher pitches are called that because you can't do too much with them - especially the one on the outer black at the knees. He has looked much, much better though thus far and him hitting hanging off speed pitches to right shows that he is letting the ball travel farther through the hitting zone before hitting it which is what good hitters do!
  18. I'm with ya RU Rah Rah! I love the MLBN. Especially the late show of MLB Tonight with Trenni!
  19. Per Adam McCalvy's Blog (Brewer Beat) Trevor Hoffman told me that Wednesday's bullpen session went well, and said he expects to begin a Minor League rehabilitation assignment as early as Tuesday, when Triple-A Nashville begins a series in Memphis. "Whenever they're in Memphis, I'll be there," Hoffman said. First he'll have to throw another bullpen session on Saturday in New York. Whether the next step is in Memphis or in Philadelphia, where Hoffman could throw a simulated game before the start of the Brewers-Phillies series, is to be determined, according to manager Ken Macha. The good news Wednesday was that Hoffman got through his work without any setbacks. "It's good to be back on the slope," Hoffman said. "I didn't throw as many strikes as I would have liked, but I think the key was to come out of it pain-free."
