  1. The "Vampire" was Victor Santos. Luis Vizcaino was known as the "Dealin' Dominican". Trust me, I know this as I was talking about the Vampire in another thread and referred to him as Victor de los Santos because I always used to mix up Victor Santos and Valerio de los Santos by name eventhough I knew exacly which was which. And actually Vizcaino was a pretty darn good set up man for the Crew in '02 and '04. In '03, not so much.
  2. Congrats to The Beard on a spectacular outting and congrats to the Crew on winning 2 in a row, taking the series from the World Champs, and getting off the schnide in Philly! I think Prince is gonna start heating up now. Liner back up the middle (hope Hamels is OK) and a double to left! Braun is on fire and I like Cam right now in the 5 hole. And another ridiculous defensive effort from Billy to go along with his HR! Look out 'Stros!!
  3. That happens to the best of us! I just don't know how it happens to a young pro athlete that plays middle infield?
  4. Uecker is in prime form today. He just asked Kent Sommerfeld if he is still on a Little League team. Classic
  5. It blows my mind how slow JJ is. I am quite certain Prince could beat him in a 60. TH even asked Hardy about his speed last year after I would ask about it weekly in their online chats. JJ said he was fast in high school and wasn't really sure what happened to his speed.
  6. For those watching on tv, did it look like they pitched around Braun? I know he is hot but do you really want to load them up for Prince??
  7. I like that Bush has only thrown 15 pitches through 2 innings
  8. That's awesome - thanks for sharing Jarjohm! She seems like a very sweet person
  9. Call me crazy, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the Crew is going to get after Hamels pretty good today. Like to the tune of 5 ER over 6 IP. Take the series Brewers!
  10. About the only time Hall has looked shakey was in that SF series. I will agree with you there. But that ball against the Reds was a bounding ball with a ton of top spin which made it a very difficult play. It was do or die. I have watched every game and Hall has been spectacular. Off balance throws, bare handing dribblers, bad hops, snares, you name it. He has yet to commit an error and we are 14 games in at one of the toughest defensive positions in baseball. He has looked so much quicker too. All I can say is if he keeps playing like this you will see what I am talking about sooner or later. At the same time, you can't really go wrong with Counsell as he is about as consistent as they come.
  11. Bad news on Riske: http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/43487497.html Has anyone heard anything on how Gagne's rehab is going? I would much rather have him than Julio, although that will probably be moot when Hoff gets activated sunday. It would be nice to have Gagne waiting in the wings though. (edited to make link clickable)
  12. Care to elaborate DHonks?
  13. A very interesting read on "Nails" and his financial situation. Kind of makes me realize how things could get so bad between Prince and his dad... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4084962 (edit: more explicative topic title --1992)

  15. They do look more defined. Maybe she has lost weight. Or like you said, it could be the work of a professional makeup artist
  16. Haha! Thats hilarious. That song was the first thing I thought of when I read the title post
  17. All valid points GI. It was pretty shocking. I went back and had to look at it frame by frame and it was still hard to tell but he got him by a hair. I was more referring with people having a problem with him coming in defensively late in the game. As I have alluded to, he has been great with tremendous quickness and range and Counsell is playing on a bum wheel which I saw him limping on today. I liked that he came in. Macha smart. Macha use brain!
  18. I was hoping we would get a ladie's opinion in this thread! You can definitely tell she is wearing more makeup, which typically isn't my bag, but I would think with a professional doing it on the set they can probably make it look pretty good - at least for the cameras. I will say that I would be surprised if she has lost much weight as she is an avid runner, including marathons.
  19. Isn't that what Brad Paisley would say?
  20. Totally disagree with you guys about Hall. He has been absolutely phenomenal on defense - nothing short of spectacular. I will say that I don't know why he underhanded that ball, but he has been much better than Counsell.
  21. Wow, that sound complicated pitchleague! I love it!
  22. Nice outting Braden! Now do your job bullpen and throw strikes, especially strike one!
  23. that always cracks me up when it says stuff like that. says the same thing about soriano last i checked. he definitely loves it when it comes via suppan
  24. Rickie has laced two balls tonight with nothing to show for it
