  1. I really thought if he got a fastball in that location he would smoke it. At least we went down with a fight. Another good game for Rick
  2. Can you imagine how drunk you could get if you played a drinking game along with sunday night baseball where you take a drink everytime Joe Morgan starts a sentence with "I...
  3. Lead off walks are alsways killers. Too bad he was out at 2nd. Thats as frustrating that he was on from a free pass. Especially after last nights call
  4. The pitching performance has been miserable, but this strike zone is an absolute joke
  5. The man currently on the mound needs to replace Suppan soon imo
  6. If Counsell isn't going to play better defense than this I don't see why he should play over Hall/McGehee much. Except for every pitcher on earth being afraid to throw him a strike
  7. I'm in the exact same boat. When he hit it I jumped out of my chair and yelled at my tv screen at the shot showing the Dew Deck...and then it seemed to take forever and I said to my fiance "is that not going to go?" And Miller did not sound so sure. Best thing Julio will do all year right there
  8. Great point - makes me even more sick to my stomach. I never thought I could be so upset about getting back to within 2 runs. Eventhough we have 4 runs off of Dempster so far we have let him off the hook. Mostly thanks to the amateur hour by the pitching staff
  9. ITS not enough that Johnson ended Yo's season last year, but now this?!! I don't know how much more I can handle
  10. 2 more hits from Rickie already tonight! I have vowed to myself to try to be as positive as possible for the rest of the night. I love this team so much that an embarrassment like this has been so far makes me wish I could just go off on an incentive laden tirade right now. Instead I am going to try to be sunshine. Currently, Rickie and Craig are making it easy. Now we need Braun to be Braun and not a shell of himself
  11. well this should definitely help us to "fly below the radar" of the national media the rest of the year. Just the way we like ithttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif
  12. Love to see if Doug Melvin is going to go out of his way to stand behind Puppan in the js tomorrow morning
  13. C'mon. Its bad enough when he gets battered around, but walking Hill on 4 pitches with the bases loaded. Inexcusable...
  14. Rickie could have made the umpires call a lot easier had he not made a poor throw, but if that's his only mistake after 5+ games, that's not too bad.I agree but to me its a moot point because Prince made the dig and I really don't think that short hop slowed the throw down. I was at the game you could see pretty clearly with the naked eye that the throw beat him. Bad call and of course it had to happen against the Cubs. I wasn't trying to disagree with you saying the throw wasn't good, but I really don't think you can say that Ricke cost us the game. We really have to quit letting Dempster off the hook. And what a shock - Bradley is hurt
  15. Prince dug that throw and it was an out that the ump missed. If you really want to point to that as costing us the game, you really have to look at the ump there. Not saying it was a good throw, but it happens and who is to say a throw would have gotten there any quicker? He was out and the inning should have been over
  16. I honestly think Soup looks pretty good tonight. The first pitch was a mistake but he has recovered nicely. Anyone else having problems with their HD picture tonight? When they go to the view from behind the mound the background is looking pretty grainy for me...
  17. Good swing by Corey there - I can't fault him at all. I thought maybe with the bat breaking like that it would die in front of Bradley but it really carried quite a bit. Just missed it. At least we got the run back and got the pitch count up. What was it btw?
  18. The cubs are seriously trying to give us runs here. Lets take them!!
  19. Seeing that weak attempt by Lee coupled with that idiot cub fan falling on the field was hilarious! Braun does not look right
  20. Let's jump all over jazz hands here tonight and put a whoopin on the Scrubs! Still amazes me how often Counsell gets walked
  21. Nice piece of hitting Rickie. Way to get on top of that and muscle it out there! Good start...
  22. Obviously it stinks the way the game started, but it really did not surprise me one bit as we have seen what Soriano can do when he is hot. What bothers me is the fact that just about every pitch he made the rest of the inning was a quality pitch and thanks to JJ he had to throw about 15 extra pithes (just a guess, I didn't actually look up the number)
  23. Good lord JJ. What is the hurry there? You had so much time to turn that DP on Bradley you could have rolled it to first
  24. It was a change up he hit out last night and I don't know if you can call any of Suppan's pitches a "fastball"
