  1. To me its a tough call on how to moderate the IGT as far as the comments you all are referring to. Its a fine line - I too get a kick out of a lot of the comments and everyone erupting when someone goes yard in a clutch spot or the like, but it can also get annoying when everyone says a player "sucks" or comments of the like when a mistake or poor AB occurs
  2. Oh, ok. I just tuned in. That is a good idea. I like Duffy so far!
  3. Ueck and Provus made reference to this on wed. Provus said he's not holding his bat as high over his head. Seems to drop a little each year over the past few. Maybe by the time he is 40 he will actually be a good hitterhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  4. Can you please tell me what I mucked up so I know for next time. I can't seem to find what you changed...
  5. Per TH's jsonline blog- Here is manager Ken Macha's lineup for today: C Jason Kendall CF Chris Duffy RF Corey Hart 1B Prince Fielder LF Trot Nixon 3B Casey McGehee 2B Craig Counsell DH Mike Lamb SS Alcides Escobar LHP Manny Parra (not hitting, of course).
  6. Speaking of televised games, I switched from cable to Dish Network last year to get the Big Ten and NFL Networks. I was excited to hear about the MLB Network as that would be the one channel besides FSN that I couldn't live without - and low and behold, Dish does not carry the MLB Network. Awesome!!
  7. You guys did the right thing IMHO

  9. I assure you he didn't

  11. As for BCU, it's not my call, but I think if you make a plausible promise (eating a hat is clearly hyperbole), you should expect to be held to that promise. In life, and especially on a message board, you're only as good as your word. He has lived up to his word. To me his point was that the Brewers would still make the playoffs, which at that point very few of us actually believed would happen. That was the real meaning in what he was doing and he was also trying to breath some life back into the fans on this site. So, in a sense what he was predicting came true - just not the 8-0 part or whatever it was. I guess it just comes down to how much of a stickler the mod or site wants to be on this. He didn't break any rules as far as I know and even turned down an autographed jersey offered up from another poster when they did indeed make the postseason because he said that was all he wanted and cared about. He has stayed away for 5 months and did not come up with a new handle like many people predicted he would. Personally, I miss having him post on here and the inside iformation that he provided indirectly through various avenues.

  13. Thanks for the help. I ordered 3 HDMI cables from them. Prices were great and shipping wasnt bad either
  14. Maybe just trying to avoid what happened last year??
  15. Looking for a short HDMI cable (around 3 or 4 ft) to connect my Dish Network HD box to my Samsung tv. Anyone have any recommendations on what brand or type to get and where? Thanks
  16. I actually don't think it was enforced by anyone but himself, but I am not entirely sure. I basically started the thread to show him that it was ok to come back because he wanted to live up to his word, but I know he misses contributing and sharing at this sight a lot. I think the point has been made and well taken from all angles

  18. Unfortunately no, but I hope you figure it out because I would love to see them!
  19. Agreed. I suppose it will be sort of like when Pat Hughes left. I felt he was irreplaceable and then the great Jim Powell came along and pretty much made me forget about ol' Pat
  20. Small sample indeed. And I have a feeling its going to be a good long while before I forget where he came from. He could always boost his status in my eyes by continuing JP's "Down on the Farm Report"
