  1. Anyone else just catch what Ueck just said about Koskie? "I wonder if he is still whacked out?"
  2. There was something in the js today about how Macha has been impressed with his bat so far. I like Nelson and thought he did a nice job in sept. Heard he is in good shape too
  3. I'd say. Someone over in the ST travel thread said he looks old. Still wish they had kept Kap
  4. I'm excited about Bush too. It really seemed last year that after he went pack to pitching with the way he is comfortable with that he was a different guy. Much more on the attack and was one of our most consistent pitchers down the stretch (not to mention getting our only postseason win). Thorman has intrigued me as well (as I have aforementioned). I wonder how bad he would be defensively in the OF?
  5. Didn't know where else to put this seeing there isn't a non-Brewers IGT, but anyone that's fiending for baseball like I have been and has Dish Network that lives in west-central WI - channel 251 (WPIX) is showing today's Astros at Mets game
  6. Maybe he would rather just come pitch for the Brewers so he doesn't have them anymorehttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  7. I'm going to be heading down to Maryvale on the 12th and I just purchased a nice Sangean portable radio and I was wondering if any of the spring training games are broadcast locally on the radio down there because a couple days I will be golfing during the games? Anyone know? Thanks
  8. This may have been mentioned already (several times probably) but Dish Network not carrying the MLB Network. Not cool
  9. Brewers 2B Rickie Weeks LF Chris Duffy SS J.J. Hardy 1B Scott Thorman CF Mike Cameron RF Trot Nixon C Mike Rivera 3B Mike Lamb RHP Dave Bush The Brewers will be facing 2008 NL Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum, one of the top strikeout pitchers in all of ball. Carlos Villanueva, Mitch Stetter, Omar Aguilar, Sam Narron and Joe Bateman were also on the list to pitch today. edited title to change date to March 1st, unless everybody is playing some sick joke and I'm the only one not in on it.
  10. Hey, I figured I would give it a shot. Considering single game tickets went on sale today and the lack of success people had getting through this morning I was surprised when I got home tonight to see only one reply to this post. I am eager though and I hear what you are saying
  11. I know you said you would like to sell them as a group, but seeing it has been awhile since you posted this, any chance you would be interested in selling just the 4 opening day tickets? I live in Eau Claire so I don't get down to Mil-Town as often as I'd like so the weekday ones would not work for me and I can't really buy a 20 game pack as I do not make it down there that often. Just thought I'd throw it out there. Thanks
  12. Thank you! I wish I had known that/figured that out 45 min ago! I'm a doofus
  13. Besides the cubs series, what games do you guys think have the biggest demand right now? I can't believe I got in 45 min ago and got nothing while I was in there
  14. I messed up trying to get tickets for the april 11th game instead of the 12th. It already says there is limited seating available for the 11th and I didn't realize the 12th was a sunday night ESPN game. I wonder if there is a way not to get booted out back into the waiting room if they don't have tickets available that you want for the specific game you clicked on??
  15. The popularity is great...trying to get tickets, not so much
  16. I actually got past the virtual waiting room at 9:02 but I tried to get tix for the sat april 11 game against the cubs and for 2 tickets the best they had to offer was SRO so I declined and had to start all over again
  17. It was last year, but it sounds like this years change is pretty dramatic (I have yet to see it). Halls problem is more approach than anything - he needs to watch film of 2006 and realize how much power he has to RF and what a blessing it is. I hear what you are saying. I was just kind of trying to strike up some conversation. Sveum just seems to have the demeanor it takes to be a hitting coach and obviously the players respect him. I for one think coaching can still have a strong impact, even at this level. Sometimes it just takes a new set of eyes
  18. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/40441937.html Here's a link from the jsonline blog about Counsell's new stance and how Sveum has convinced him to lower his hands. Obviously the early returns haven been fantastic. I'm excited about having a hitting coach with a new approach - especially one that isn't afraid to tell player's like it is and get them to change some things if what they are currently going with isn't working. I have been saying ever since Counsell joined the Brewers the first time around that someone needs to do something with that stance of his because obviously it hasn't been working for some time. Any thoughts on Dale's approach to hitting now that we have played a few ST games (I know its early)?
  19. I'm heading to Maryvale March 12th and one of the many things I'm looking forward to is getting an in-person look at Chris Duffy. So far it sounds like he can play
  20. I am really getting to the point where I feel the same way. I have always pulled for him because his dad is my all time favorite non-Brewer player and he seems to be a chip off the old block personality wise, but how many times can you come into the season with a huge opportunity to solidify your spot on the team and immediately go on the shelf? Like Macha said, if you are a backup you need to be on-call all 162 games
  21. I thought I remember him playing OF in Atlanta. Interesting...might have to keep an eye on that if he keeps tearing the cover off the ball seeing he is a LH
  22. Thorman is having a nice start to ST. Can he play OF??
