'Tees score late to top Yanks 08/04/2012 8:29 PM ET By Frank Longobardo / Brevard County Manatees TAMPA, Fla. - Brent Dean's one-out RBI single in the top of the ninth broke a 1-1 tie as the Brevard County Manatees edged the Tampa Yankees, 2-1 on Saturday night at George M. Steinbrenner Field. Manatees starting pitcher Drew Gagnon (0-1, 3.27) did not factor into the decision as he threw six quality innings and allowed just one run that came on a solo homer by Austin Romine to lead off the top of the fourth that tied the game. Gagnon scattered six hits and walked one, while fanning five. Brevard County (23-20 second half, 52-59 overall) got on the board first in the second inning and it started with Cody Hawn drawing a one-out walk. Dean then singled to left to put two on and then John Dishon reached on a force out that retired Dean and put runners on the corners with one out. Hawn would then score on a fielder's choice from Franklin Romero Jr. to give the 'Tees a 1-0 lead. After Gagnon left the game, Alan Williams came in and held Tampa (26-17, 56-54) scoreless for the seventh and eighth as he struck out four hitters. With the game tied 1-1 going into the ninth, Mike Walker would lead off the inning with a double to left and then Shea Vucinich singled to right to put runners on the corners with no outs. After Cody Hawn flew out to right, Dean picked up his second single of the day, one that would score Walker and give Brevard County a 2-1 lead. Casey Medlen entered the game in the ninth and pitched around a two-out error by Walker to earn his 18th save of the season. Along with Dean, Nick Shaw had two hits for the 'Tees, who are now three games back of first place Tampa. The rubber game of Brevard's three-game set with the Yanks will be on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. as the Manatees try to gain more ground in the standings on Tampa. Nick Bucci will toe the rubber for the 'Tees in Sunday's series finale. Bucci is currently recovering from an injury and has made just four starts this season, all in the Arizona League. Last season, Bucci was a mid-season All-Star with Brevard County as he went 8-11 with a 3.84 ERA with the Manatees in 2011. The Yankees will send Shane Greene (4-2, 4.00) to the mound. Greene is 3-0 in eight appearances thus far in the second half of the season. Box Score Big win for the playoff hopeful Manatees. The game story above is pretty comprehensive, but I'll just add that Drew Gagnon continues to open eyes. He literally made only one mistake, a homer to well thought of Austin Romine. Having seen Gagnon pitch in person and on TV a few times this season, I can agree that the stuff matches the numbers. Drew has a solid 2-pitch repertoire behind his above average FB. Everything starts with the FB though as it has plus movement and tilt while siting 89-93. Big power lefty Alan Williams K'ed 4 over 2 scoreless relief innings and steady Casey Medlen saved it. K, I'll do the G2 AZL League game right meow... AZL Reds 6 AZL Brewers 2 Box Score A sloppy game all around, the Brewers only managed 3 hits and 2 walks (both by Clint Coulter). Speaking of Coulter, he was on base all night (3-5 2 BB HR SB). He now has 2 homers in August already after hitting one each of the first two months. His high-800's OPS gets even better with men on base (1.041) and then even better when they are in scoring position (1.135). It pays to be lucky. Renaldo Jenkins, who plays 2-3 times per week, went 1-3 with a SB. Malcom Dowell was back in the 9-hole and went 0-2. Joel Dicent started and he was roughed up pretty good. On the bright side, Jono Armold threw 3 impressive innings to finish the game. 3 IP 2 H 1 R 0 ER 0 BB 4 K 5:0 GO:FO. 2.61 ERA now for Jono. Game Log -

No game story yet. Billings (Reds) 6 Helena 4 Box Score Well, the Billings Reds can stay on the east side of the state forever for all I care. Another close loss tonight that didn't really seem all that close. Chris McFarland (2-4 2B) got back on track with a big night out of the leadoff spot. Adam Giacalone (2-4), who made the tail end of the Baseball America 2012 Top 500 Draft Prospects List (at #464), is just plain feeling it. The best line belonged to Ruben Ozuna who smacked 2 2B's in 3 AB's. Ozuna has 13 H in his last 32 AB's. I would like to see Ozuna and Michael Reed (1-4 SB (9)) switch spots in the order. On the mound, Ryan Gibbard started and had 2 good innings and 2 bad innings. Joel Pierce threw a mediocre inning before giving way to Damien Magnifico. Magnifico went 7 outs allowing 3 H 1 R 1 ER 1 BB and 3 K. He also had 2 WP's and a balk with a 3:0 GO:FO. Do I smell another stretch-out project? With Jacob Barnes having success and Eric Arnett on track to soak up bigger innings, one has to wonder if Magnifico is next. Connor Whalen took over when Magnifico was pulled and finished unscathed. Game Log Hand it to the Reds for stymieing us in this inning. Helena Bottom of the 8th Ruben Ozuna doubles (6) on a fly ball to right fielder Jeff Gelalich. Ruben Ozuna advances to 3rd, on a throwing error by right fielder Jeff Gelalich. Yonki Hernandez doubles (1) on a fly ball to left fielder Matt Lentz. Ruben Ozuna scores. Kevin Berard flies into a double play, center fielder Beau Amaral to pitcher Carlos Ramos to second baseman Taylor Wrenn. Yonki Hernandez out at 2nd. Christopher McFarland singles on a ground ball to third baseman Robert Ramirez. Christopher McFarland advances to 2nd, on a throwing error by third baseman Robert Ramirez. Pitching Change: Jimmy Moran replaces Carlos Ramos. Michael Reed grounds out to first baseman Carlos Sanchez. -

I at least have this 1st one. Hopefully G2 is quick. AZL Brewers 16 AZL Reds 5 Box Score So, let me start by stating that Rookie Ball stats are about as useful as a gasoline soaked fire blanket. That said, it is better to have good stats, no? Well, Clint Coulter and Jose Pena have great season lines right now. Both homered in this one as they joined game ball winner Jose Sermo in an offensive onslaught. Speed demon leadoff hitter Edgardo Rivera went 3-5 and lanky SS Angel Ortega went 2-4. Both young Puerto Ricans are 18 years old and both can be very good if coached up properly. Anthony Banda started and benefited from the pile of runs supplied by the hitters. Austin Blaski, who has been solid, continued his success with 2 decent innings. Game Log Dual 4-packs to finish it. AZL Brewers Top of the 6th Dionis Hinojosa doubles (5) on a line drive to left fielder Jose Valdelamar. Edgardo Rivera singles on a ground ball to shortstop Brent Peterson. Jose Sermo homers (2) on a fly ball to right field. Dionis Hinojosa scores. Edgardo Rivera scores. Pitching Change: Ibrahin Redan replaces Abel De Los Santos. Clint Coulter grounds out, shortstop Brent Peterson to first baseman Wilfrel Estevez. Jose Pena called out on strikes. Alan Sharkey reaches on a throwing error by second baseman Avain Rachal. Joe Andrade doubles (1) on a line drive to right fielder Argenis Aldazoro. Alan Sharkey scores. Angel Ortega grounds out, third baseman Tanner Rahier to first baseman Wilfrel Estevez. AZL Brewers Top of the 7th Pitching Change: Robert Lewis-Walker replaces Ibrahin Redan. Taylor Smith-Brennan strikes out swinging. Dionis Hinojosa reaches on a throwing error by shortstop Brent Peterson. Edgardo Rivera reaches on a force attempt, throwing error by third baseman Tanner Rahier. Dionis Hinojosa to 2nd. Jose Sermo singles on a ground ball to second baseman Avain Rachal. Dionis Hinojosa scores. Edgardo Rivera to 2nd. Clint Coulter homers (4) on a fly ball to center field. Edgardo Rivera scores. Jose Sermo scores. Jose Pena grounds out, third baseman Tanner Rahier to first baseman Wilfrel Estevez. Alan Sharkey flies out to center fielder Jonathan Reynoso. -

Tampa (Yankees) 6 Brevard County 2 Box Score Cody Hawn hit his team leading 10th home run on the season. Cody's slugging percentage is .376, 5th on the team. Cody's name should be squarely on the bounce-back list for next year. A 6th rounder in 2010, Cody came into the system with a very similar pedigree as Hunter Morris. In 2009, Cody hit .364 with 22 homers on his way to the Tennessee team triple crown. Even after the 2010 season, when Cody destroyed the Pioneer league, there were people who like Cody's future more than Hunter's. Another strong season in WI in 2011 kept most hopeful but the blatant loss of game power was discouraging. Some of that is back this year, but the approach has disintegrated. Maybe the Southern League will treat him better. Jason Rogers went 2-4 with a 2B and Franklin Romero went 2-3 with an OF assist, but he was CS once. Jed Bradley got the start. After that (the 1st pitch that is), things went south. So internet coaches; What would you do with Bradley? Shut him down? Make him pitch through it? Demote him? Paging Dr. James Andrews? Cripes. Seth Harvey and Greg Holle kept it reasonable with 4 scoreless to end the game. SS Nick Shaw committed his 16th error at SS and Johnny Dishon joined Romero Jr. at the gun show. Game Log Okay, but only if you are a masochist. XBH's galore. Tampa Bottom of the 3rd Jose Toussen doubles (8) on a line drive to left fielder John Dishon. Ramon Flores grounds out, second baseman Shea Vucinich to first baseman Cody Hawn. Jose Toussen to 3rd. Kyle Higashioka homers (6) on a fly ball to left field. Jose Toussen scores. Tyler Austin singles on a line drive to center fielder Reggie Keen. Kyle Roller homers (15) on a fly ball to right field. Tyler Austin scores. Gary Sanchez doubles (7) on a fly ball to left fielder John Dishon. Zach Wilson walks. Kelvin De Leon singles on a line drive to left fielder John Dishon. Gary Sanchez scores. Zach Wilson to 3rd. Kelvin De Leon out at 2nd, left fielder John Dishon to second baseman Shea Vucinich. Jose Mojica walks. Jose Toussen grounds into a force out, shortstop Nick Shaw to second baseman Shea Vucinich. Jose Mojica out at 2nd. -

AZL A's 11 AZL Brewers 2 Box Score Jeez, 3 stinkers for me tonight. At least I can write more positive things about Clint Coulter. Tonight he went 2-4 with a HR, a SB and a clean sheet on defense. He started so slow but now he is on track to be an AZL League All-Star (if there is such a thing). I love this kids upside. Angel Ortega went 2-4 with 2 2B's. The 6'2" 170 lb 18-year old has flashed XBH power at times. I love this kids upside too. Dionis Hinojosa went 2-3 with a 3B. Danny Keller and Zachary Quintana split up the innings evenly tonight. Quintana continues to strike guys out (5 K in 4 IP) but he got nicked up along the way. Keller had another rough outing in what is becoming a pretty disappointing year for him. If you like meaningless comps, you could argue that Quintana is more advanced and having more success than Jake Odorizzi at the same age. Similar repertoires too. Keep a close eye on the 5'11" Quintana. Jose Pena got a much needed breather. Game Log

'Tees hammered by Jupiter, 9-0 08/02/2012 11:52 PM ET By Frank Longobardo / Brevard County Manatees VIERA, Fla. - One night after the Brevard County Manatees shut out the Jupiter Hammerheads, the tables were turned as the 'Tees were blanked 9-0 by Jupiter on Thursday night at Space Coast Stadium. Despite nine hits, including two each from Nick Shaw, Mike Walker and Joey Paciorek, the Manatees (22-19 second half, 51-58 overall) had just one base runner get past second base and left eight men on base for the night. Jupiter (19-20, 55-54) starting pitcher Robert Morey threw eight scoreless innings, while Dane Stone pitched a scoreless ninth. Reigning Florida State League Pitcher of the Week, Andy Moye (5-3, 5.13) took the hill for the 'Tees and ran into some trouble with two outs in the third as he gave up a walk to Marcell Ozuna and then a single to Christian Yelich. Next up to the plate was the rehabbing Giancarlo Stanton who took a 1-0 fastball from Moye and went opposite field for a three-run homer. Moye would give up one more run in the third and then another two-out RBI in the fourth as Jupiter took a 5-0 lead. Moye went just four innings and gave up eight hits, while walking two and striking out three. Eric Arnett relieved Moye in the fifth and didn't fare much better in his three innings of work as he four runs on six hits and two walks. Brevard County has now closed out the interdivision portion of their schedule as the 'Tees went 24-22 against the South division in 2012. The Manatees will open up a big three-game series on the road against the Tampa Yankees (25-16, 55-53) beginning on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Brevard is currently three games behind the first place Yanks. Southpaw Jed Bradley (5-9. 5.23) will get the ball for Brevard as he is looking for his first win since June 27. The 2011 first round pick will look to start August off on the right foot as he was 0-3 with a 6.67 ERA in five July starts. The Yankees will send righty Zachary Nuding (5-2, 3.67) to the mound. In his only other start against Brevard this season back on April 25, Nuding struck out seven in six innings of work en route to a win. http://www.milb.com/images/2012/08/03/MfJpZZPP.jpg (Dennis Greenblatt/Hawk-Eye Sports Photography)

Billings (Reds) 9 Helena 4 Box Score Holy crap, great outing by a lefty starter in the Milwaukee system! Taylor Wall was fantastic; 5 IP 3 H 1 R 1 ER 0 BB 6 K 1 WP 6:1 GO:FO. The 2012 22nd rounder from Rice turned things around after 3 pretty bad appearances. Stack successes. Manny Ruiz was among the relivers that got crushed. Manny in particular, as he only managed to get 1 out. Raul Mondesi Jr. gunned a guy at 2nd. That's 7 by my (assuredly off) count, and 1st in long time. Mondesi also hit a homer, his team leading 4th. Adam Giacalone (3-4 2 2B) is a man alone in this lineup at this point. With McFarland and Reed struggling a tad lately, Giacalone has picked up the slack. The struggling Kevin Berard (2-4 SB) had a good game. Game Log

Jupiter (Marlins) 9 Brevard County 0 Box Score So, depressing factoid of the day; Giancarlo Stanton is younger then every single Brevard County Manatee in the box score tonight. Stanton, who is rehabbing a minor surgery, hit a homer to lead a relentless barrage of hits and runs for Jupiter. Andy Moye got crushed. Eric Arnett gave up runs in all 3 innings he pitched. The stretch-out continues with Arnett. Thomas Keeling saved some face with 2 IP 0 R and 2 K. At the plate, many jabs were thrown but zero hay-makers were landed. 9 singles and 0 walks. A few guys managed 2 hits (Nick Shaw, Mike Walker, Joey Paciorek). No errors in this one. So there is that. Game Log I am too moral of a person to suggest sifting through this one.

I got this... AZL Athletics 4 AZL Brewers 2 Box Score Despite the absence of stud SS Addison Russell, the A's did enough to on offense to win tonight. Btw, if you have not laid eyes on Addison's season line, I suggest you do. Power, patience, and speed. There was a time when Russell was being talked about as a possibility for the Brewers. Now Oakland seems to have nailed another one. DH Clint Coulter is certainly doing plenty to keep me very optimistic about his offensive upside. His last 10: .394/.524/.515 (33 AB's). His July: .314/.462/.371 (70 AB's). AS you can see, he just keeps getting better and better. The hit tool and approach are both looking potentially plus and I am sure scouts will tell you that there is plenty of power untapped. Edgardo Rivera smacked a 2B. Helium guy Eduardo Reyes was very good again tonight. 5 IP 5 H 2 R 1 ER 0 BB 3 K 9:2 GO:FO. 63:13 K:BB in 56.2 IP for Reyes in 2012. Taylor Wall and Carlos Sosa also pitched. Both mixed in some struggles. Game Log

Helena 7 Billings (Reds) 6 Box Score A 5-run bottom of the 9th supplied a very exciting walk-off win against a very hot Reds team. Here is the rally. Helena Bottom of the 9th Pitching Change: Alejandro Chacin replaces Matt Wiley. Michael Turay singles on a line drive to center fielder Beau Amaral. Raul Mondesi grounds out, pitcher Alejandro Chacin to first baseman Robert Maddox. Michael Turay to 2nd. Ruben Ozuna singles on a ground ball to second baseman Brandon Dailey. Michael Turay to 3rd. Yonki Hernandez reaches on a force attempt, throwing error by second baseman Brandon Dailey. Michael Turay scores. Ruben Ozuna to 3rd. Yonki Hernandez to 2nd. Andres Martinez hit by pitch. Christopher McFarland walks. Ruben Ozuna scores. Yonki Hernandez to 3rd. Andres Martinez to 2nd. Michael Reed grounds into a force out, fielded by third baseman Seth Mejias-Brean. Yonki Hernandez scores. Andres Martinez out at 3rd. Christopher McFarland to 2nd. Michael Reed to 1st. Alfredo Rodriguez singles on a ground ball to right fielder Jeff Gelalich. Christopher McFarland scores. Michael Reed to 3rd on the throw. Alfredo Rodriguez to 2nd. Pitching Change: Jordan Remer replaces Alejandro Chacin. Adam Giacalone singles on a line drive to left fielder Daniel Pigott. Michael Reed scores. Alfredo Rodriguez to 3rd. Team MVP Adam Giacalone (3-4 BB GW Hit) is looking like a steal for 100k. He K's about 1/3 of the time and the power is still untapped, but this 6'2" 218 lb beast will be ripping balls at Time Warner Field next season. Remember, Giacalone started so, so slow. What a turnaround. C Michael Turay went 1-2 with 2 BB. He is having a very nice season. Every Brewers hitter struck out at least once, but they also drew 6 walks and sprayed out 8 hits. Pretty sure I heard Steve say Preston Gainey and Joel Pierce combined to fall behind 20 of 34 hitters they faced. That is not the recipe in R ball. Gainey has been pretty good otherwise and Pierce is still oh so raw. Game Log

Manatees blank Hammerheads 08/01/2012 10:14 PM ET By Frank Longobardo / Brevard County Manatees http://www.milb.com/images/2012/08/01/8y3ceomU.jpg Taylor Jungmann is 6-1 with a 2.18 ERA at home. (Dennis Greenblatt/Hawk-Eye Sports Photography) VIERA, Fla. - Taylor Jungmann threw seven scoreless innings and Shea Vucinich drove in both Brevard County runs as the Manatees recorded their ninth shutout of the season by blanking the Jupiter Hammerheads, 2-0 on Wednesday night at Space Coast Stadium. Jungmann (9-6, 3.79) had one of his best starts of the season as he yielded just five hits and walked one batter, while striking out seven and retiring ten of the last 12 batters that he faced. He improved to 6-1 with a 2.18 ERA in 11 starts at Space Coast Stadium this season. Brevard County's (22-18 second half, 51-57 overall) first run came in the bottom of the third on a RBI single off the bat of Vucinich which scored Franklin Romero Jr. Romero Jr. reached base two batters earlier, on a two-out double which was the only extra-base hit of the game for either team. The 'Tees other run came in the fifth inning when Vucinich drove in Romero Jr. with another two-out RBI single. The inning started with Juan Sanchez reaching on an error and then Romero Jr. reached on a fielder's choice that retired Sanchez. Romero Jr. would then get into scoring position by stealing second and then came home on Vucinich's hit. Alan Williams relieved Jungmann in the eighth and after getting the first two outs of the inning; he hit a batter and walked two Hammerheads (18-20, 54-54) in a row to load the bases. Casey Medlen was then brought in for the four-out save and he was able to leave them loaded in the eighth as he induced a ground out from pinch hitter Jacob Realmuto to end the threat and the inning. Medlen then set Jupiter down in order in the ninth, including two via the strikeout, to notch his 17th save of the season. He has converted his last seven save opportunities, dating back to July 14th. Offensively, both Vucinich and Mike Walker had two hits each. Both infielders have been hot at the plate lately as Vucinich is hitting .318 in his last five games, while Walker is batting .389 in his last five games. Brevard County will look for the series victory in the finale of their four-game set with Jupiter on Thursday at 6:35 p.m. The reigning Florida State League Pitcher of the Week, Andy Moye (5-2, 4.69) will toe the slab for the 'Tees. He threw seven shutout innings and allowed just two base runners on one hit and one walk, while fanning five hitters against Fort Myers last Saturday. Robert Morey (5-2, 4.26) will get the ball for the Hammerheads. He has given up no fewer than three earned runs in four of his last five starts and has a 6.65 ERA on the road. Box Score Taylor Jungmann pitched his best game as a pro in this one. 7 IP 5 H 0 R 1 BB 7 K 9:4 GO:FO. Taylor's arsenal (a low-90's 4-seam, an 89-91 2-seam and a slower big breaking curveball) works very well when you can paint the corners with the FB's and get the curve over for strikes. Add a little sink, like Jungmann can do, and good things happen. Time to stack some successes. Casey Medlen bailed out Alan Williams of a bases loaded jam in the 8th. Medlen proceeded to mow them down in the 9th for the 4-out save. Mike Walker (2-3) and Shea Vucinich (2-4) are seeing it well right now and Franklin Romero Jr. (1-3 2B) came back with a strong game. Chadwin Stang was a beast in July. .319/.373/.478 12 XBH 7/9 in SB's. He has a .751 OPS on the year now. Malcolm Dowell has finally been moved up in the lineup (6-hole tonight). His K's are down, which is really great to see. Next up, start driving the ball so he can fly around the base paths with his speed. Huntsville beat up on Zach Lee today and the Manatees squeaked by Chad James. Well done.

Missoula (D'Backs) 8 Helena 1 Box Score Tyler Wagner was our 4th rounder this year and he is struggling. He, similarly to Johnny Hellweg, is a converted reliever with a big FB. Wagner also features a power slider that is absolutely nasty at times but that is about it. Look for Tyler to make strides going into next season as he polishes his repertoire. Wagner is still thin (195) for a 6'3" power pitcher, so perhaps there is a tick or two of velocity untapped yet? This is the kind of draft pick I can be on board with in the 4th round. Brent Suter grooved in too many hittable strikes but his control was good. He will certainly be in the running for a rotation spot in WI next season. Michael Shaub, who had not pitched in 9 days, finished with a scoreless inning. I suspect Shaub was just working the kinks out. Michael was the opening day starter for Helena making his season that much more disappointing. The hitters were not their best, but Chris McFarland (2-4 2B) and Alfredo Rodriguez (3-4) just keep going. Ruben Ozuna has also been hot lately (1-2 BB) with an .882 OPS and 4 SB's over his last 10. It would have sounded crazy a couple months ago but I think Thornburg could be on the outside looking in next year. You have Gallardo for sure. I think we pick up a vet. Fiers is a lock. Then you have 2 spots with Estrada, Rogers, and Peralta definitely battling for them. It wouldn't hurt to have Thornburg get a little more seasoning in AAA. I guess they could choose not to sign a vet but I think they will just to have some stability That is leaving out Burgos, Narveson and the possibility that Marcum signs a 1-year deal. Hellweg and Pena will be in their age 25 seasons as well. Makes me smile. We have a ton of major league quality arms at our disposal.
-
I had him in my top-10 last User Driven P50 (7th actually). Yes, he could play a corner OF spot (and he has in the minors), but, I would rather he stays at 1B. Personally, I suspect Gamel gets flipped for BP help. Both guys profile similarly, so we probably go with the younger, cheaper option.
-
Peralta finishes with 9 K and 10:0 GO:FO. I'd say he is straightened out. It is going to be a heated 2013 ST competition for rotation spots.
-
Jupiter (Marlins) 6 Brevard County 1 Box Score The Sea Cows ran into big boat propeller named Jose Fernandez. 5 IP 2 H 0 R 8 K for the 14th pick in the 2011 draft. Fernandez motored through the SAL and now the FSL. He K's a ton and BB's few and scouts rave about his high-90's heat. Jose turned 20 years old today. Jose Fernandez and Taylor Jungmann will always be compared by Brewers fans. 3 Marlins relievers K'ed another 6 Manatees, ringing up 14 in total. Brandon Williamson and Tommy Toledo were bad while Wild Thomas Keeling and Seth Harvey were very good. I am beginning to wonder if Williamson and Chad Pierce should switch spots. Nick Shaw (0-2 3 BB) led off and and did his job and Mike Walker did okay (1-3 2B BB). Game Log http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbhT6KbHvZ8

Khrush (Love that btw,TLB) Davis strikes again. With our AAA/AA OF's, Corey Hart has never been so expendable in my book.
-
I think Wily Peralta is still the cream of our pitching crop but I agree that we have a lot of B level prospects. Peralta is a solid B+/A- for me.

AZL Brewers 5 AZL Reds 1 Box Score I am fully expecting Nic Bucci (5 IP 2 H 0 R 0 BB 4 K 6:1 GO:FO) promotion news tomorrow. Could he be headed to the already stacked Huntsville rotation? That was his likely assignment had he been healthy. Alejandro Lavandero pitched scoreless inning, amazing. Jonathon Armold continues his solid AZL Leagues season finishing off the Reds in the 9th. The middle of the order made a big impact as Jose Pena (1-3 BB), Clint Coulter (2-3 2B BB), Deivi Mejia (1-4 HR) and Jose Sermo (2-4) all had good games. Dustin Houle is all the way down to .190 now thanks to his recent cold spell. Houle was the youngest player in the 2011 draft, so he has plenty of time to come around. Tanner Rahier, who many would have liked to see in a Brewers uni, is struggling in the AZL League (.210/.300/.352). One hot week, and those numbers would look much better. Game Log
