  1. I was thinking the same Mr. QL, but then I checked, and they already have Lucroy and Stetter on the page. Salome is the best hitting prospect they have, how could they not have him on the official website roster?
  2. That is strange. I wonder if it's an oversite... I don't want to see him go to another org., but something very interesting could be cooking.
  3. Colby, Robinson Cano is homegrown I think. Anyways, I don't like how picks aren't tradeable. I also kinda wish that a kid can only enter the draft once. Letting Bryce Harper jack up the price on the Nationals because he can re-enter 3 more times is ridculous. You could still declare after HS, but you couldn't pull a Matt Purke, and head off to school with the reasonable assumption that you will get drafted again. If you want to go to school, then don't declare for th draft. I think we would see many more young kids making smarter decisions if they only got one chance at it.
  4. Brewcrew, in all honesty, no the Sox wouldn't do that. And it's pretty crazy if you ask me. Prince instantly makes them the favorite for the WS for the next two years, but, hey, whatever. I guess after you win a couple of WS after 100 years, you forget what got you there. Beckett, Wakefield, Pedro, etc all came over in trades. Do they miss Hanley now? I hope so, but as we know, the WS championship would be worth it. There is no way the curse gets broken without Beckett. And, we all know that the Sox will easily extend Prince, so I don't want to hear any service time/money arguments. Prospects are just getting too valuable. That CC trade has really aged well for the Crew. Though still young enough I guess, LaPorta doesn't seem to have reached the lofty expectations. Brantley is what we thought he was. Bryson is no closer. I gotta think that DM would make that trade 100 times out of 100. Sometimes this stuff is so obvious. The Red Sox should have Halladay right now. They couldn't pull the trigger and part with Kelley OR Westmoreland. They should have Santana right now. They didn't want to part with Bucholtz. Prospects are nice, I love following them, but people are just getting too crazy stingy with them.
  5. I wonder if our Coach buddy can bring some light to Salome's choppy season so far. Whatever the case, this is not good news for Angel.
  6. I don't know if I've ever seen someone promoted this early in the season, especially with no injuries involved. I was hoping for the BIG promotion though.
  7. You gotta like what Komatsu has managed to do thus far though. Before he got injured last season, he looked pretty bad at plate for WI.
  8. I'm not sure the Sox are real high on Reddick. Why sign Cam and trade for Hermida if he is MLB ready? I see they just called him up as well. Rumor has it he won't play much, especially if Ellsbury gets healthy. He definitly has some upside, but his ship is starting to sail in Boston.
  9. Well, the shuttle managed to land this morning, so I'm guessing the weather should be clear enough to play ball as well. Hopefully the extra day of rest helped the hitters get ready to support Wily. I wonder if Davis is progressing as planned. He should be eligible to return in the next couple of days (22nd I think?).
  10. Golly, they should have saved Burgos for today...he deserves some innings.
  11. Igor, to answer your question, if Gindl continues to show improved contact rate and walk rate, he would be a carbon copy of Brian Giles or maybe even a Shin Soo Choo. Also, I just want to say that it is very easy to imagine Chris M. moving up very quickly in the broadcasting world.
  12. Gindl and Davis are similar. I hope Kentrail has Caleb's power. Btw, Caleb has 3 2-out rbi's tonight. Lucroy picked off another guy at first base as well and Green has another xbh. Nashville's lineup is pretty pitiful tonight.
  13. Omg! Lucroy struck out... Pretty stacked lineup for Seattle's AA team. Ackley, Truinfel, and Liddi are names I instantly recognize. probably names we should get to know if any deadline Prince trade talks start to heat up. I'm sure Jack Z. would love to reacquire the big fella.
  14. Those are great observations. I'm glad Howell at least 'looks' ok. That's also a very positive report on Garfield's D. How did Burgos look? Any velocity reports on our guys? Thanks so much for the report.
  15. Colby, you have peeked my interest...can you please expand on that delicious Javy Lopez comparison.
  16. Pretty pumped for Peralta at 6 tonight. I know Keith Law isn't as smart as he thinks he is, but he hasn't been this excited for a Brewer pitcher since YoGa was coming through. He has gushed about Wily a couple of times this spring already. I think there are some pretty obvious promotions coming. Some with injury and some once the draft is over. Cain to AAA once Schafer is back. Hopefully that happens within a month. Lucroy is headed to Milwaukee as soon as his arby clock gets pushed (imo at least and only if he avoids a major slump). Dennis will be in BC by the draft and, honestly, I hope Odorizzi and Heckathorne are knocking on the door as well. Fiers to Huntsville is another possibility. Further down the road, I'm hoping Dykstra pushes Gennett to A+ (or SS http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif). I also think Green, Gamel, and Gindl could all be ready for a bump by July. With Jeffress and Adams due back soon, there will likely be some shuffling as well.
  17. The baseball draft is so screwed up it's almost unfixable. The only way is to revamp from top to bottom. I have no idea where to start.
  18. Very interesting. What would it take to get him? Farris sounds like a player the Royals may overvalue. Same with Hopper.
  19. I believe he was released this spring.
  20. Salome not starting tonight, Farris is, but lower in the lineup. All the Fantastic Five at Hunstville have done damage early in that game. Cody seems steady as ever.
  21. Dennis went yard for WI. Gennett with a throwing error. Cain now 2-2 with a steal. Gindl swipes one too.
  22. Possible rain delay in BC, but who really knows...?
  23. I really starting to get on the Khris Davis bandwagon. Too bad his arm isn't better, but the rest sounds great.
  24. When does Jeffress come back and will he be starting? Was it early May or June?
  25. The most concerning thing is the velocity reports from Chris during his last start. His control seems fine and the defense behind him stinks (both in exectution AND range, but that is just a guess). He just seems too hittable right now. Usually, especially in low-A, velocity and control will carry you regardless of secondary stuff. The K's are still there though, so who knows what's going on. We should proabably chalk it up to small sample size. I won't totally panic until I see the year end results. On a seperate but exciting note, Hecky was hitting 97 on the stadium gun during his last outing.
