    Yea, after I posted that, I decided I should've used Kentrail Davis as an example, not Heyward. Davis was thought of as a for 1st rounder forever, but had that rough soph. year (which actually wasn't that bad at all), and he fell to us in the supplemental round.

    It's going to be weird not having extra picks this year. Seid should really stick with BPA (I think that's what he basically does). If one of those hitters slip (a la Heyward), I really hope Seid pops him.

    Why do you have him suddenly losing his plate discipline? I can deal with .245 if he gets on base a third of the time or more.

    Your predictions for Zaun, Local Hero, are considerably differant then his career production. Can you explain?

    We need the alternate timeline to be explained still. Also, Eloise probabaly has an entire episode left just about her. She seems to know something important.

    Along with Cutter, I was hoping Max Walla would play full season ball somewhere. Hopefully he rips up Helena.

    Walla seems to be hitting a lot better this spring. Very good sign. I am going to predict he hits 20+ bombs for WI this year (that's if he actually gets assigned there).

    Saunders is actually a fairly advanced and well regarded prospect. He has more upside then Michael Brantley for example. I think that either of Hart or Parra would fall short.

    Gennet in BC?? Is Seid showing a more aggressive side this year? I sure don't expect it with the way a lot of the pitchers were babied.

    Just caught up (missed this past week's episode). Wow, this is a truely fantastic show, and that is coming from someone who is not one bit religious. The only problem with the god/Jacob connection is why would god have to find a replacement. I think it's more plausible that Jacob works for god. For the record, I am going to predict Jack becomes the new Jacob. His last name is Sheppard....

    Fantastic episode last night. Accidentally nursing the wrong baby, haha. Michael commenting, 'That baby will be hairy', or whatever he said, was brilliant. 'just dotting the i's, j's and ümlauts'

    I should have been more clear, but you guys are right, sorry. They had a plan though, stuck to it for the most part, and now we are coming to the end. It has been a great ride. I hope more shows think big picture like the makers of Lost did.

    For those that don't know, all 6 seasons were basically written before the first season ever aired. That is why this is so great. We will find out all we need to know to be satisfyed. As far as Widmore goes, I don't think we have seen the last of him at all. I also think Walt will be back in some capacity. The final season has been fantastic.

    Yea, that was def. a mistake, but not a crippling one. LaPorta has proven to be a worthy selection so far. We also passed on Madison Bumgarner and Jarrod Parker. I wonder if Seid would have made the LaPorta pick? I have a feeling he wouldn't.

    So far, people have been picking guys who have already had some success or guys that were picked in last years draft. I am going to go with some guys that have struggled a bit since arriving in our system. 1. Brent Brewer: this is probably his last chance, but if he can get it together at all, things could interesting. 2. Evan Fredrickson: big lefty needs to find control and the high 90's heat that he brought to his draft showcase. 3. Erik Komatsu: we need him to help power the Rattlers, and he is more than capable. 4. Lee Haydel: if he could even double his walk rate, he could start climbing up some lists. 5. Demetrius McKlevie: struck out a lot in his debut, but the untapped potential is there. Of these guys start to pan out, our system will look better than ever.

    Word out of Cubs camp is that Soto lost 30-40 lbs. this offseason. It needs to be said, will it even matter? Edit: Actually, I think the same thing is being reported for Big Z, haha.

    I never said that anyone should have a clause in their contract that does not allow them to hit a baseball or participate in a HR derby. I was responding to prophets post that basically stated that clubs should never put any clauses in contracts regarding what players can and can not do in the off season. I don't agree with this. If I have invested millions of dollars in a player, there are certain things (does not necessarily include HR derbys or Winter ball) that I'm not going to want him to do during the off season. As far as HR derby effecting performance. It's well known that there has been some cases that correlate participation in the All Star HR derby to 2nd half drop offs in performance. This is not always the case (see Prince Fielder last year).

    That is the longest blue statement I have ever seen, haha. Braun will be fine. I know he has some back issues, but sometimes you have to let the big dog eat.

    I don't think you will find many baseball players with clauses in their contracts that do not allow them to hit a baseball. As far as his performance being effected by participating, really? Is it that he isn't working on his plate discipline instead? Or is it that Braun will become homer crazy?
