  1. A high percentage of Brewers fans also believe that if Woodruff, Peralta, Adames, Renfroe, and Wong hadn't been on the DL for the better part of the last 10 days they wouldn't have a seven game going on eight game losing streak.
  2. Jace Peterson = "The Executioner" All he does is execute.
  3. UW-Madison has a supply chain management program, both MBA and undergrad. Maybe consider an intern from the MBA program?
  4. Remember before when I said that I couldn't think of anything else that could go wrong... ... turns out that the attached garage parking spot that supposedly contractually came with my condo does not align with the plat survey and I am actually assigned an exterior space. Even though the MLS listing and contract say I am assigned a garage space, and even though I've been living here for five years and have always had that spot and the previous two owners of the unit that the spot is aligned to in the declarations and plat survey have never said anything. Well, someone closed on that unit on Wednesday, noticed the discrepancy after the declarations were sent but didn't say anything, and now is demanding access to the garage spot. Even though their executed contract and MLS listing explicitly says they are assigned an exterior space.
  5. That may be part of it, but they were also very familiar with Turang as he was on some type of summer/travel team that the Brewers sponsored/coached. Can't remember the exact relationship, but there was a connection between a team Turang was on and the Brewers.
  6. The guy he relieved has also been pitching very well and is a bit under the radar. Last year as a mostly 19-year-old split between rookie ball and two games at low-A in 41 IP he struck out 60 to only 18 walks. Has a nice frame on him too at 6'2", 180.
  7. Is the ump working his 12th game in 11 days after a 10-game road trip?
  8. If the first two make outs, I want to see Hall.
  9. They're playing like a team that is playing its 12th game in 11 days after a 10-game road trip and is missing four of its best players.
  10. You give them hope... ... and then you rip it right out of their hands, slam it on the ground, and stomp a mudhole in it.
  11. The two letters between the S(trikethrough) and hyperlink icons in the comment box. It's grayed out for some reason so it might not look like it's active.
  12. Undrafted in 2018, but last year mostly at AA had 12.3 K/9 and this year in 16 IP at AAA had 26K.
  13. Major league debut, you don't think a guy's going to be nervous and not sleep well the night before? Add to that a 90 degree day game wearing dark colored jerseys, thinking about a 25mph wind blowing out to left as a LHP. And speaking of memory, Small was hitting 94 in the 2nd inning.
  14. Customer support based in Malaysia. There is no worse customer experience than having to deal with customer support based in Malaysia.
  15. So how do you expect someone like Braun, who was the 5th overall pick in the draft, and Fielder, who was the 7th overall pick in the draft, to be available with the 27th overall pick in the draft? How many guys like them are available in any draft? And BTW, Fielder is 5'11".
  16. Albert Pujols is 17 HR away from 700 in his career. He has 4 in 84 plate appearances this year; at that rate, if he gets 360 more plate appearances he will get 700. Since the end of the 2016 season, Pujols has a combined -1.6 bWAR/ -3.2 fWAR. He has hit 92 HRs during that span.
  17. It helps if you read a scouting report: At 5-foot-8, Williams might be the smallest player on our Draft rankings, but he's also a favorite gut-feel guy for a lot of scouts. One crosschecker called him the best hitter on the summer showcase circuit, where he raked despite an injury to his right shoulder. The Mississippi State recruit could factor into the first round of the Draft, especially to a club that thinks he can stay at shortstop. Kirby Puckett was 5'8".
  18. Looking at gas prices and reminding myself that I've had to go into an office for work once since March 16th, 2020.
  19. The "fortunes" in the fortune cookies at the Chinese restaurant around the corner that I get takeout from once a week are now sponsored by FTX, so all of the "fortunes" are about cryptocurrency.
  20. If Wisconsinite Connor Prielipp is still there, do they take a chance on him? Does his injury history push him down to the Brewers? Pipeline has him at #24. The Brewers like up-the-middle guys so you can't rule out Zach Neto or Frelick-clone Drew Gilbert. Speaking of clones, there's Ethan Small clone Cooper Hjerpe, who in 84 IP this season has given up 57 hits, walked 17 (1.8/9 IP, and has improved every year), and struck out 135 (14.5/9 IP) against Pac-12 competition. If I'm handicapping it, I'm ranking them in order as Campbell, Hjerpe, Gilbert, then Neto with Prielipp as my "if he's still available". If I have a "don't be surprised by" guy, it would be Hjerpe's teammate Jacob Melton.
