  1. Hopefully Braden Webb got healthy last year and spent some time in the pitching lab. They drafted him ahead of Burnes for a reason.
  2. I don't believe this for a second. If Kumerow had anything to do with it, it's because it was a) the last straw after many other things happened and/or b) they made some promise to him about personnel and didn't keep it. At this point people should strongly consider the league/team "sources" that may have started this whole thing worked for The Onion... Or for the Vikings.
  3. I'm trying to figure out how the Packers are supposed to communicate to Rodgers that they are drafting his backup when they had about five minutes tops to do so. Given that the Packers traded up to get Love, that to me suggests that they didn't plan on Love still being there and he dropped far enough to the point that they saw an opportunity to get him. If they had plans on drafting Love then that would likely mean that they thought he would be available when they drafted and not had to trade up for him. What if they told Rodgers that they planned on drafting Love if he was available but then someone drafted Love before they could move up? How would that have made the situation any different? And if they tell Rodgers this... and then Rodgers tells his agent and some other players... who tell some other players... and then that gets around to the other GMs in the league and they now know what the Packers are going to do. Not what you want to happen.
  4. Has eBay every tried to pull some weight with the Post Office and threaten to pull them as a preferred shipper if they don't improve their service?
  5. The only players who the Packers had confirmed virtual visits with who are still on the board are Javian Hawkins (RB, Louisville), Justin Raine (FB, Northwestern), Eli Stove (WR, Auburn), and Trill Williams (S, Syracuse). So far, they have not drafted anyone who they had a virtual visit with.
  6. Or Cole Van Lanen. They do double-dip at OT, and if he can't stick at OT he can probably move inside to G.
  7. Some developmental edge rushers available here in the 6th - Wyatt Hubert, Shaka Toney, Quincy Roche.
  8. If the Packers want to go ILB, Cam McGrone, Nick Niemann and K.J. Britt are still available.
  9. How true. Moved up to take Love with a 4th. To move up 7spots in the 3rd cost the same? Why not the Comp 4th pick? Now watch we trade a 5th and move up 10spots with the 4th rd pick we still have. 92 and 135 = 170 pts. 170 pts. = pick 84, exactly. So yes, the Packers slightly overpaid in getting #85, but by the slightest amount possible. Rich Hill’s draft chart puts the Titans ahead by 9.5 points, roughly equivalent to the 160th overall pick. Instead of packaging 92 and 135, a more even exchange would have been 92 and 173, Green Bay’s first of two fifth-round picks.
  10. RGIII with some bush-league comments about Kirk Cousins, especially considering that they came into the league the same year but Cousins has 190 career TD passes to Griffin's 43. Hell, Cousins had 35 TD passes last year compared to Griffin's career total of 43. Who's the one who has been sitting around collecting paychecks?
  11. Chad Reuter of NFL.com gave the Packers an A for Day 1 and an A- for Day 2. I do have an issue with what he and other analysts have said about Myers and other centers. "I had him rated behind other prospects at the position that were available at No. 62, such as Creed Humphrey and Quinn Meinerz." Can someone please remind these analysts that Meinerz has not snapped one single ball at center during a game in his college career? Someone like that is not going to be able to step in and start right away for a team that lost a starting center in free agency.
  12. I have mail that was scanned on Monday that still hasn't been delivered. I sold an item on eBay last Friday, and last Saturday morning I dropped it off in the mailbox outside the local post office at 8am. The tracking number says that the Post Office still hasn't received it yet. But I ordered something on eBay last Saturday and it arrived yesterday. Is this just a Chicago mail delivery issue, or are people in other parts of the country having issues with mail delivery?
  13. A good friend of mine is in a couple of moderately successful bands and played a private show a couple of years ago with Public Enemy. A pizza delivery guy arrived and said, "I have an order for... (looks at delivery info), ugh, Flava Flav", and rolled his eyes expecting it to be a prank. Needless to say his reaction was priceless when Flava Flav came out from around the corner to get his pizza.
  14. Do they give him #12? Don't have to clearance out the jerseys in the pro shop.
  15. She started with "Am..." and I thought I had another one. Gadget guy, punt returner. I had the right profile and position, wrong guy. Think a 4th was a little steep to move up only seven spots.
  16. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/creed-humphrey/32004855-4d47-3083-2500-dde1ebaa729d https://www.nfl.com/prospects/josh-myers/32004d59-4542-0232-84be-468f30564845 Myers is bigger/stronger and has more position flexibility. Humphrey probably wouldn't hold up as well at guard. "He's a pretty good player and he's got a great build for a center so I think he's going to end up starting for a long time." -- Personnel director for NFC team
  17. Can't believe more people didn't have him in their mocks to the Packers. They lost one of the best centers in the league and need to replace him. Given the picks at guard last year, I think the plan is to move Jenkins to OT until Bakh is back.
  18. Vaccines may not fully protect against new/different variants/mutations of the virus. The thought is that if someone is positive but asymptomatic, that strain is nothing to worry about. It's the strains that are making people sick/symptomatic after being vaccinated that they need to worry about.
  19. That's why I went the Amazon Fire Stick route for YTTV. Much less chance of Amazon being bullied by Google than Roku.
  20. Las Vegas, man! Las Vegas!! I wonder how much of it is trying to prove he's as good as Brady. If Brady can lead the Bucs to a Super Bowl, the only way Rodgers gets on the same plane as Brady is to lead the Raiders to the Super Bowl. If it's about winning another Super Bowl, I'm wondering if he's looking at SF's defense and thinking that's a better opportunity than GB's defense.
  21. How is a $17M cap hit in 2022 for a player who isn't on your team "scot-free"?
  22. 2nd team All SEC - the other 2nd team All SEC corner was Jaycee Horn, the #8 overall pick.
