  1. #20: Ethan Conrad, OF, Wake Forest Patrick Forbes, RHP, Louisville Slater de Brun, OF, HS (could see them buying him down to #32 or even #59 and getting the top signing bonus, thus the "de facto" #1 pick) #32: Mason Neville, OF, Oregon Riley Quick, RHP, Alabama Angel Cervantes, RHP, HS (under-slot) #59: Jaden Fauske, OF/C, HS Josh Owens, SS/OF, HS Cameron Appenzeller, LHP, HS #68: Ethan Frey, OF, LSU Chase Shores, RHP, LSU Pico Kohn, LHP, Mississippi State (under-slot, for-sure sign to protect the pick) #94: Taitn Gray, OF/C, HS Murf Gray, 3B, Fresno State Cam Leiter, RHP, Florida State #125: Matt Barr, RHP, CC Grayson Grinsell, LHP, Oregon Jacob Morrison, RHP, Coastal Carolina
  2. I'd be really surprised if the Brewers go HS middle infield given the glut of top 18-20 year old MI prospects. Further complicating things is that Cunningham will be 19 on draft day, thus the Brewers would have to protect him after four years, not five years.
  3. Markus Howard is the all-time career scoring leader at Marquette and it isn't even close. He has 700 more points than Kam Jones and 1,000 more points than anyone who played for 3 years before freshmen were eligible. He was a 2x All-American and led the nation in scoring his final year. If anybody deserves to have his jersey/number retired, it's him.
  4. That may very well be true. But he can give minutes, which is something that Middleton struggled to do for the last several years. What they say about the best ability.... Think about it from the other angle. What would you have needed to see someone pay MKE to take Middleton and his contract off of their hands? Middleton played 37 games this past season, 55 the year before, 33 the year before that, and got paid $31M last season and is due $33.2M next season. He might be the worst $/minute player in the NBA. I thought it was a miracle that they could get anyone to take him off of their hands AND cut $10M in salary.
  5. tl:dr - clown account.
  6. Joey Bart, now there's a guy who hasn't lived up to expectations. Henry Davis, too.
  7. Caleb "The Construction Worker" Durbin - just gettin' the job done day after day.
  8. LHP Nestor Cortes Injury: Left elbow flexor strain IL date: April 6 (15-day, retroactive to April 4; shifted to 60-day on April 21) Expected return: First week after the All-Star break Status: Threw just shy of 25 pitches against Brewers hitters on June 23 and expects to pitch again on June 27, either another sim game or a rehab assignment. 9. I think it's been very well established that A.J. Johnson was who they had to give up and Kuzma was who they had to take back in order to get out from Middleton and his contract in order to get under the 2nd apron. They also got Jehrico Sims back, who I believe you are the driver of the bandwagon. 😉 So, the Bucks gave up Middleton and A.J. Johnson and got back Kuzma, Sims, and 2nd apron relief. They had to give up something and take something back to get rid of Middleton.
  10. Giannis, right now, is also a much better defender than Durant. Giannis defensive win shares = 0.109; Durant = 0.056. In the few games I saw last year, Durant didn't put in a whole lot of effort on the defensive end.
  11. I don't think that the Packers' brass gives a flying hoot about what fans think about a player. Walker is a much better fit for Hafley's scheme than the prior scheme, and played a lot better the last 10-12 games of the season once he really started to understand Hafley's scheme. I believe one of those weeks he was the highest graded LB in the entire league. He's much better going sideline-to-sideline, in coverage, and blitzing than trying to figure out what gap to cover as an ILB in a 3-4.
  12. If the 5th year option price for Quay Walker sounded a little high, that's because the NFL lumps in OLBs/edge rushers with off-ball LBs, artificially inflating the 5th year option cost for off-ball LBs. Gutey said that's the only reason they didn't accept the 5th year option for Quay, https://packerswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2025/06/19/packers-working-on-contract-extensions-for-ol-zach-tom-lb-quay-walker/84272777007/
  13. Outside of a rough first half of May (.108/.195/.135), he's been very good. April - .263/.356/.395 (0.750 OPS) Last 28 days - .272/.372/.438 (0.810 OPS) Someone posted an X in the Ortiz thread that he's 2nd in MLB among 3B with 6 DRS. I don't see a burning need to trade away assets for a 3B right now.
  14. I recognize the picture and seem to recall a discussion about this account on another board and that it's BS. X account was started in 2016 and only has 2,500 followers. Reverse image search on the picture shows an account manager for Plaid on LinkedIn.
  15. I get that. What I'm saying is that, excluding Biloxi players, his road OPS would still be second among all players in the Southern League. And it's not just HRs (although I find it really difficult to believe that they guy who is tied for the lead in HRs among all minor league players at all levels playing in the Southern League isn't an elite power hitter), he's also tied for 32nd in all of the minor leagues in doubles, and he's second in all of the minor leagues in extra base hits.
  16. His road OPS is .837 in the Southern League. The only SL non-Biloxi player with a higher OPS than Wilken's road OPS is Tatem Levins, and he has 120 fewer PAs (and his road OPS is .815). His road OPS would be 5th among all SL players' total OPS, behind Adams, Ramon Rodriguez (84 PAs), Levins, and Ethan Murray (109 PAs, 0.852). How old was that writeup?
  17. If by "prospect value" you are referring to lifetime value, he is a LHP and the good ones can pitch well for a long time (see Jose Quintana).
  18. I think it's a combination of not looking up stats, not knowing that the Southern League is notorious for suppressing hitting stats (league average OPS is something like .650), and possibly early votes coming in before he went on a hot streak. That, and the noob @Joseph Zarr submitting a ballot without looking at it.
