  1. i'm going to go ahead and agree with nike on this one.
  2. my guess to is we would be taking willy mo pena which in my opinion isn't much of an upgrade.
  3. To me this is a good trade. Cantu showed a great deal of potential during his first season, but due to injury everything has kinda fallen off. Doesnt seem like they gave up much which makes me wish the brewers would have pursued him.
  4. something i've noticed is everytime a rookie is trying to get his first win and/or first couple coco is there to ruin it.
  5. has anyone else noticed that his slider is absolutely terrible. if he can get it to be a strike its just crushed, otherwise its just thrown in the dirt. now if your a hitter i'm pretty sure your going to sit and wait for a fastball.
  6. wow coco you are doing absolutely terrible now. i can't stand to watch him come in anymore. we might need to look for a new reliever...and fast.
  7. or how about the instance when fielder got all pumped up when sliding home safe after matt capps hit him near the head.
  8. ^^ I agree, I really don't see Melvin going out and adding anyone else besides another starting pitcher (If one comes available.). From what I've seen our GM really has no ambition of getting anyone who is struggling to help a team get to the next step.
  9. I'm happy to see Linebrink on the team seeing this was a lot of peoples wishes, but for Inman let alone 2 more prospects!! cmon, to much for someone that will be a free agent after this year.
  10. Simple, I curse Stinky Cheese on them.... http://www.artisanalcheese.com/images/pc-10318.jpg
  11. Moliterfan, I understand Gross is a lefty but they way you are stating is due to that face he'll make an impact. As far as I'm concerned, his .202 BA is not very appealing when you have a hot hitter in Graffy at the moment. I would have rather had Graffy in that situation over Gross. So to me that was a good call by Ned. He generally picks his favorites vs. the individual who is playing better. And in this circumstance, Graffy is playing way better.
  12. adding another IF would just be ludacris. We need another GOOD bat and/or pitcher. We do not need to fill our roster up with more mediocre players who are nearing the end of their career.
  13. To me this is just another reliever we could pass on. I personally havent seen him pitch but by reviewing his stats etc. nothing really is to eye appealing. He has a career ERA of almost 5 (4.91), has almost a 2:1 K/B ratio...which again is nothing to great. This year he is defiantly looking better, but at 30 years old here in a few days I doubt he would get to much better from on this point.
  14. I think we should be looking at Balfour as the one to go down not gywnn. the fact that gross going down to me really points at a pitcher, more then likely Balfour or Spurling to be the next. Balfour has really really struggled for the little time he's been up and Spurling scares me every time he gets out there. Gywnn provides a good base runner and a nice bat off the bench. To me the obvious fingers are pointing at Balfour and Spurling. Take it for what its worth, but 1 of these pitchers needs to go down.
  15. wow how bad is our hitting right now. honestly this is pathetic, we cant score a hit, let alone a run. if we do score a run its off of a hr. this is just prooving we need another bat
  16. i also think getting kicked out, even threatened to be arrested was going wayyyy to far in this situation. looks like security wanted to create a scene over this or something.
  17. These types of moments I wish could happen more often, seems like this is the exact energy the brewers need Edit: I dont no how to get a direct link to the video i want but its at http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/multimedia/tp_archive.jsp?c_id=mil&ym=200705 May 6th, "bill hall single"...my favorite moment of the year no doubt
  18. I'll take someone playing "over their head" verse someone that couldnt hit the broad side of a barn. Why can't we understand the Weeks was playing over his head as well last year. Because he's a Brewers doesn't mean he'll pan out, or that they never play over their head. I'll take Brian Roberts over the fact he HAS hit well unlike Weeks who hasn't and may never. Again, this is where we only see the word potential being used. Another thing I want to point out is Weeks injury. We might never know if he'll ever be fully recovered. So a healthy Roberts who can actually hit is always a better option over an unhealthy Weeks.
  19. I got a kick out of one of the posts earlier saying roberts is an average 2B. He'll hit around .300, get 10-12 hrs, steals, and has average defense. Yet you rather keep Weeks!? Weeks is not even in the ball park of .250 let alone .300. 10-12 hrs....Weeks will be lucky if he gets 1 more homerun the rest of the season. Weeks is faster, but when he strikes out...speed is useless. Now people how does Roberts who is better (All-Star) still worse then Weeks? Don't give me the potential, ceiling speech because that is old. Roberts >> Weeks.
  20. sounds good enough to be an actual article...plz make it true lol
  21. "The above link should work." Unfortuantely, it does not work. Update: Still doesnt work.
  22. I remember reading something earlier this year that Julio will play till he's 50. Heck your two years away why not!
  23. I also want to mention the articles that have been posted about Griffey not going to the Brewers are posted as early as 6 a.m. So anything espn has reported could very well be true.
  24. When I was reading the MIilwaukee Brewers board on ESPN they were saying this morning at 10:15 on espn, first take, and peter gammons there were actual rumor of Griffey to the Brewers being reported..
  25. throw me in as well
