  1. Brian could you PM me your address so I can send you a check.
  2. I read this in the Oshkosh Northwestern yesterday, and it did mention he's OCD. It also said he still had the receipts for the burgers. What a weird guy.
  3. Yeah, this drop off doesn't make sense if he's healthy. What I want to know is what kind of pitches does this guy throw? It seems like he's been a one-pitch guy this year (87 mph fastball).
  4. Powell is the absolute best as far as I'm concerned. I thought Anderson was decent last year, but yeah, I think he's continually getting worse. Schroeder is a hell of a lot better than he used to be. You can tell the guy has learned a lot about the game from even 5 years ago, which is much more than other broadcasters his age can say. He's not too much of a homer, calls out an ump or a player when need be, and generally seems like a pretty good guy.
  5. That ranks right behind CC's no-hitter.
  6. Best play by a Brewers infielder this year?
  7. I didn't notice last night, but I have seen JJ do this quite a bit this year.
  8. Hopefully we see a bunch of lefties in the starting lineup tonight.
  9. It seems like everyone here is all spread out. We should definitely get a private tourney or two going in the winter months. Donate some of the buy-in to the site. I'm not questioning anyone's credibility here, but it's funny, almost everyone I've ever talked to about poker claims they're a winning player. Where do the losing players come from? I no longer play online, but like others have said, the games in 04, 05, and 06 were very profitable. I started with $12 on the now defunct pokerroom and made some nice extra cash for a college student. With a little bit of luck. 5 handed, $55 sit n' go's with a $250 bankroll FTW!
  10. I guess I could see them hanging on to both. Like you say, they'd definitely have to eat some of Bill's salary, and Weeks value is at its all time low (still a useful trading chip to a rebuilding team). So it's definitely not the most ideal time for a trade. But I do expect them to sign a Loretta type to take over for Counsell, and if Escobar plays his way on to the team in September/Spring Training, it will be quite a logjam in the infield.
  11. Originally I was for this deal, but now I'd almost rather trade Hart than Hardy. Hardy's been very good this year, and has the ability to be a pretty good OBP guy for the next few years. I think the Giants would LOVE to have Hart roaming RF. In a perfect world, the Brewers could trade Bill Hall and move Hardy to 3rd and start Escobar at SS. But who in their right mind would want Bill Hall with his contract? He's been trending in the wrong direction for 2 full years now. Either Weeks or Hall is almost assured to get traded this offseason, and only one of them has any sort of value.
  12. They always interview Svuem after a tough loss.
  13. God, I thought that was gone off the bat.
  14. His first homerun was pretty clutch.
  15. It was a bang - bang play at best. How the ump somehow can make the call when's he falling, I'll never know.
  16. I'm listening to 1150 AM on the radio, so yeah it's pretty strange. Really killed the suspense Ueck delivers in his homerun calls.
  17. That a boy Rickie! I'm listening to Ueck and Jim with Gameday up and running and somehow that's ahead of the radio. Weird.
  18. I've always found the official scoring bias to be one of the most out-of-date aspects of any pro sport. There should be a set scorer(s) that travel with that respective umpire crew, not one who stays with the home team and obviously doesn't have his priorities straight.
  19. Miller Park day games are a disaster. Those shadows were ridiculous today.
  20. While that was an out, I think that one pitch at-bat should be enough to deem Nelson is a much better PH option than Gwynn. Tough one, but can't win em all.
  21. Not to mention, who the heck pitches the 9th inning.
  22. That is a horrible pitch on 0-2. He's been burned by trying to go with the high "heat" all year.
  23. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Villanueva strike out Wright on a off speed pitch in the dirt? Sometimes I wonder if BA is calling the same game I'm watching.
