  1. Not saying the pitches are not strikes but it sure feels like a lot of borderline pitches have been called strikes on Yelich. Again not excusing him but strike 2 there sure looked like a pitch that is called a ball high a lot of the time. On the other hand he really isn't making pitchers pay for bad pitches he should drive
  2. Booker's whining has been nauseating. Of our players Khris and Lopez complain a little too much for my liking but booker is easily the worst. I told my son last night if he acts like that during basketball I am taking him out of his league. Every time they replay something he coming about it was a clear foul by him or an obvious no call. I know Crowder is an MU guy but he has been awful with this too and with his flops
  3. Here is how good jrue has been on d! Booker or Paul score almost half as often when he guards them and has forced 18 turnovers! His defense is amazing https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/31836199/nba-finals-2021-one-win-away-jrue-holiday-milwaukee-bucks-staying-course
  4. The suns struggles were very much due to Chris Paul looking awful. Jrue has gotten in his head with the full court pressure. It will be interesting to see if the return home helps him. The Suns role players were good. The bench was 9 for 14 for 23 points. Bridges and Crowder adding another 23. It was Paul and Ayton that held them back. Only 16 points between them. The problem for the Suns is booker will likely score 12 to 14 points less so Paul and Ayton have to pick that up and then some and the bench and others have to perform well again.
  5. I think tonight is the night we see Middleton take over a bit. The Suns have to try to slow down Giannis which will open things up even more for Khris and Jrue. Jrue had the bigger night in Game 3 and I think it is Middleton tonight. Do not see Giannis getting 40 again but think he is in the low to mid 30s and I think Middleton approaches that as well. Jrue get close to 20 so our big 3 has over 80 which is enough for us to win.
  6. Agreed. He will never be an mvp guy like wade but in a lot of ways he was what the team was missing.
  7. I had seen some people posting about how jrue isn't much of a step up from bledsoe. The second and third quarters of last night show how wrong that is. His ball movement was incredible and his 3s in the 3rd are just something bledsoe did not do. Those shots were huge. Jrue has been far from perfect but he is simply a better player than bledsoe in almost every aspect. He also isn't afraid down the stretch. Bledsoe looked like a deer in headlights. It is easy to make quick takes after a bad game but there is a reason jrue is regarded around the league as a better player than bledsoe. Last night was a prime example. I say this while being a big bledsoe fan
  8. Deer District was crazy tonight. Was in the overflow space on the side of the arena and it was packed. Definitely a little older crowd there and a much better viewing experience. Would recommend people go there instead of right in front of Fiserv. I have loved watching the games there and I am not young
  9. Well this debate has really taken over the in game thread. Quick thoughts 1. The call was incredibly close. Doesn't seem definitive to me but it is what it is. 2. People are not just frustrated with some posters for saying he was out. It is because said person implied they were objective while others were not. Said it was clear cut where it was not. The tone frustrated some people. 3. Calling out people's fandom because they think the play should have been overturned is silly. 4. We are having a rough series and fans are frustrated and it is boiling over to the in game thread. This isn't the only place. The whole stadium sounded frustrated last night
  10. "Here" Just isn't true. Perhaps a poster or two who hate on everybody. Keeps the board interesting and interactive, I guess. Literally every time he comes in there are post(s) about how bad he is and how he will probably give up some runs
  11. Because even the Brewers have a lot of not so knowledgeable fans in their fan bases. The guy has given up runs in like 6 of 40 appearances. It’s pretty much Hader territory. Yeah he has had some bad games but man he has been huge for this team.
  12. Boxberger has a whip of 1.13 and and era under 3. He has struck out something like 48 and 37 innings. Why on earth does he get so much hate on here?
  13. Reds so far - 8 doubles and 1 single Brewers so far - 3 singles and 6 walks Pretty similar numbers but the one extra base hit was enough to be the difference so far
  14. Great job from Woody. Didn't have his best stuff and gave up just 1 run. His command wasn't there bust no walks today.
  15. I don't think it is weird for fans to compare the Brewers to the rest of the division. At the same time there has been an irrational love on this board for the talent the Reds have for about 4 years. It has been a little odd to say the least. If the Brewers lose today they are still 4 games up and there were posts recently asking where the Brewers are better than the reds that seems fairly over the top.
  16. If only we had a competent GM we could have a 6 game lead in July. Love his take on the Adames' trade That David Stearns man....easily always the smartest guy in the room...the team is struggling offensively, so they need a bat(s) badly..Stearns says "hold my beer", and what does he do?? Goes out and gets a career .254 hitter, or maybe it is the current .197 BA that he wanted so badly...or perhaps...the .254 OBP. Absolutely stellar! Nothing says "I'll turn this offense around, just you wait", more than going out and getting the big bat of Wily Adames. Well done DS..I can see why so many Brewer fans think you're so great! *whew*
  17. Well Nelson and Bickford have paid very nice dividends for them so far and Knebel had been solid as well.
