If we can win the division we will be debating between which of 3 Cy Young candidates will get the ball game 1 and will have a bullpen with one of the best reliever in baseball and Devin Williams returning to form. This is a very good regular season team that might be a better playoff team. We almost made the world series a few years back with Chacin as our ace

In his previous 75 innings pitched he had a WHIP just over 1. In under 4 innings pitched with the Brewers he has a WHIP around 2.45. Maybe he isnt any good but this is the definition of a small sample size.

Pulled it out. Reds were low on bench players already so brought in moose for the rare pinch hit lefty vs lefty matchup

Agreed. I trust the Braves bullpen more than the Reds.

The reds bullpen is atrocious. Garrett came in after hembree struggled to start the 6th. Garrett has thrown 11 pitches and only 1 in the strike zone. Two walks later braves are up 1 with the bases still loaded

That stinks for him. Man wanted to see that guy succeed.

With only 53 games left schedules matter but more than anything the Brewers simply need to play solid baseball. If the even go 28-25 Cincy would have to 36-18. Winning 2 of out 3 over that long of a time is tough no matter who you play.

Almost ok with an inning like that setting up a 9th with Adames, Narvaez and Escobar and if someone gets on Garcia. Time for Williams to pitch like last year

Thought that was going to find a gap off the bat. Narvaez has really hit well tonight.

How much different do we feel if Adames doesn't botch that double play ball? The next at bat was on him but he should have been out of the inning

Twins with back to back walks to lead off the 9th. Would be nice to see them push a couple across here

The new addition Givens escaped a base loaded jam by getting Donaldson to ground into a double play. Twins lineup is pretty punchless right now

Hader to Covid IL - Latest: Hader reinstated, Milner to AAA

True to an extent but the intensity of covid has been lesser for those who are vaccinated so hader could potentially be out longer. We I got it in the Fall (and I am in fairly good shape) I was out for almost 2 weeks. But at this point he has no symptoms (I believe that is what was inferred by Counsell) so seems early to get concerned with his recovery. Missed that. That is great news
