  1. Wow Lauer really fell apart that inning. He strikes out the side in the first and then is awful the next.
  2. Layer has been able to keep his pitch count low most games so hopefully he can have a couple low stress innings to get it down
  3. Shaw did have a BABIP of over .300 last year with the same amount of plate appearances as he currently has. Not sure how much he faced the shift though. He is hitting to center a bunch more this year than he has in the past. He has his lowest pull percentage of his career but a significant margin.
  4. His BABIP is .236. That is 42 points below his career average. His hard hit percentage is 40% which is the second highest of his career. His K percentage is 25% which is 2% above his career average but well below his last 2 seasons. So the numbers do seem to suggest he is getting pretty unlucky so far. Would we look at him differently if he was batting .240 with a little more power? That could easily be what we see going forward
  5. I agree. I think Lauer should be given a shot to get the number 4 spot. Maybe he isnt going to continue his success, but if he does he fits our rotation so well. Even if he doesnt get the 4 or 5 spot with the high potential of injury (especially to Anderson) Lauer is likely to get a lot of starts
  6. It is really incredible how well those 3 are pitching right now. It feels like a disappointment when they give up more than one run. I really want to see how Lauer does going forward. Still believe he has the best stuff to be our number 4 starter. I am really impressed with the changes he and the staff made in his delivery and his pitches. He still gives up too many home runs but I just trust him more than Houser and Anderson.
  7. Yelich has been definitely been better lately since the initial slow start since returning. 4 for 17 doesn't sounds but he also has 5 walks. So he has reached base 9 times in 22 plate appearances. Struck out 4 times. He has scored 7 runs as well. In those 6 games he also has a triple and a home run. If the power can return more and more he will be fine.
  8. These guys are running at will on burnes. Their jumps are huge
  9. He may have walked him anyway but the ball 4 call on Carantini was bad. Burnes has not been as sharp today though.
  10. Normally I agree but Freddy was wild all day. My fear with him was having to groove a fastball because he just couldn't throw a strike
  11. Impressive job limiting the damage so far but at 69 pitches looks like we would be lucky to get 5 from Freddy today. Not sure what the bullpen will look like those last 4-5 innings after the trade
  12. Looking like one of those days where he’s going to have trouble going 6 innings. Yep. Hoping he is still under 40 pitches by the time the 2nd is done here
  13. Just looked at Adames slash for his last 15 games. The good OPS over .800 the bad 23 KS.
  14. Don't know enough about who we are getting but I hate losing Rasmussen
  15. Interesting. I tried to watch some of LMS and found it really hard to watch. Jokes felt forced most of the time. Must just not be my type of show
