When they are shooting it from 5' just past the half-court stripe and draining it with 5 minutes left to go, I knew the Badgers were sunk. I know High Point pressured the ball, but there were a lot of turnovers and poor shots that could have been avoided. It appeared that there was a bit of panic with the Badgers. Focus is one thing when times get tough, but I thought there was more panic -- "I'm going to take the ball and I'm going to get it done." I don't think it is an embarrassment. Probably more like wash, rinse, repeat...

Chokers. I know I'm mad, but this is the truth. Chokers. The have plan A and there has never been a plan B if the other team takes away plan A. Need to do more than 5 out next year.

I had a Costco employee help by scanning my cart full of 6 items. I paid and all was well. However, when I got to the exit, the receipt showed only five items were scanned. I had to be escorted with a walk of shame to pay for the other item that was not scanned. Mistakes are made, but it was extremely disappointing. It certainly wasn't more efficient for me 😉

I was thinking the same thing. Towards the end, it looked like he was much more tired than normal. I wasn't aware of the sickness going around. Better to get it out of the way now. 🖕

Wasn't that the second dunk that Winter missed in the last couple of games? Yikes... Rohde has his one head-shaker of a pass that he does every game. I'll make sure that is on my bingo card for every game. He did work hard on the defensive side, though. Stirtz was going to get his points, and Bucky did a good job preventing others from being too production. Just when a think the Badgers are going to (nearly) run the table, they have a clunker like against OSU. Hopefully they play more consistently. JB did not have his typical game which is ok. Hopefully Boyd can stay consistent. I know the first goal of any opponent will be to stop Boyd. That is when JB steps up and goes for 25. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I still don't understand why they don't wear full face guards. I understand they want the freedom. Hughes' mouth looked screwed up. Back in the day, they didn't have to wear helmets. Old time hockey!

The Women's gold medal game was very exciting. I wanted Hilary Knight to say, "On, Wisconsin" after her first interview after the win.

I stumbled across this video from Jacob Turner. I have never attended a spring training either as a fan or as a player. I thought this video gives a great view on what it means to be a player. Also, it gives some perspective on what the players are thinking. I believe almost everyone on the board has a great attitude towards the guys that are busting their tails. It still gave me a better understanding. It talks about what it is like to be cut, injured, and making the squad.

I 100% agree with you on how well he is defending. It has been very satisfying watching him grow in this area. If the turnover wasn't the same type of turnover, then I probably wouldn't notice it as much. All in all, he is a much better player than at the beginning of the year.

The Badgers are playing physically and the refs are letting them play. You also have two guards who can take over a game. If Boyd can play within himself, I think the Badgers can go deep this year. On the other hand, if he shoulders someone like he did at the end of the Indiana game, oof. As much as MSU has been a rival over the years, I appreciate how (most of) Izzo's players play hard. #55 has incredible hops. I like Izzo as a coach. Anyway... Let's go, Bucky!

Rhode has at least one absolutely terrible turnover each game. It is the same long, forced bounce past each time.

I have thought about this, too. The ball is moving around a lot today. When Giannis is out there, the ball always seems to go through him. He might simply try to run someone over or back somebody down. Didn't he try to take more of a traditional role at the beginning of last year, but then decided to take charge when the team wasn't doing well? There seems to be good chemistry and if Giannis can plug into it, look out!

I'm guessing they signed him to establish the floor at 3B. Other players will work their way towards getting more playing time and the cream will rise to the top by the end of the year. I think I heard Murphy say that Durbin didn't start out 2025 playing third base. It keeps the players hungry.
