    That's kind of what I was getting at. Ideally, you'd be able to go to a Cubs game without any problems persay, but it's going to happen anyway. The best way to avoid this kind of interaction is just not going. I'm sure most people would say that they have a right to go to every game with a perfect atmosphere and I agree, but it won't happen against the Cubs.That seems more like an assumed reality to give fans a license to act like jerks and justify infringing on other fans, who also paid for a ticket, the right to watch a baseball game. Instead of accepting the preconceived notions established by previous Cubs/Brewers games and allowing them to fester into the 'visible altercations' and swearing contests the latest series have produced, treat your fellow fan with some respect and don't respond to the Cub fan who just belittled you or your team. Be a part of the solution instead being a part of the problem.I agree, but there's way too many people that get into arguments and it isn't something that can be stopped overnight. Realistically, though, why let some other fan belittle your team and not respond? Having a few people change their mentality isn't going to change the atmosphere unfortunately.

    Why couldn't the Brewers just try to address Jeffress' command instead of letting him add pitches. Adding pitches is fine, but if you can't command the pitches, it's a lost cause. Then you look on the other side and you realize he's only 21 years old.

    yeah, but in spite his improved average, his OPS is still terrible Really???? I forgot OPS is all that matters! Wow he is a lead off hitter, in the major leagues, that means he is supose to get on base maybe steal some bases and score runs but I guess only hitting double and homers can do that. That whole next year comment is ridiculous. I'd still take him over Duffy. You can continue to think that OPS is the only stat that matters if you want but secret is that it truely doesn't make a player worthy of being in the major leagues. If he can start hitting well..... okay I forgot .328 is god aweful, maybe next kid!!!! This is his is only his second year with an average of over .300 (counting this year). If you want to put him in the majors because he's done it one year, then go ahead. He needs to be consistent. He's a career .248 hitter.

    TGJ having a nice year batting .328 thus far. If he could start hitting well, he could be in Milwaukee next year. He has an OBP of .393 and more BB's (16) than K's (15).

    How can you not expect some verbal abuse when the cubs come to town? It goes both ways. It shows passion and stupidness at the same time. I don't know how you would change the atmosphere when rivals come to town. The precedent has been set unfortunately. I don't have a problem with some razzling or teasing, but it's not like I want things to get out of hand.

    You should expect to get "razzed" a little bit but no one should be expecting "trouble". I go to Brewer games down in Wrigley all the time and no one has verbally abused me. I would hope we would be able to do the same. People take this goofy rivalry way too seriously. If you're going to get in a fist fight because some dude has a Cub flag or says "brewers suck!" then you should really re-examine your life. Same goes for a loser Cub fans that can't take a few goat jokes. Yeah, I didn't clarify that. I don't expect trouble in the sense that fans would be fist fighting, but rather some verbal abuse. I'm just saying that if you go to an opposing ballpark, you probably will face some verbal abuse, but no, I'm not advocating starting fights.

    Oh, I'm sure no other team has those type of "fans". People see a few bad ones and make generalizations. I'm not against enjoying a game in a non-"classy" way, but you'd expect some people to make every look bad. I just think it's funny that a few people would go to a rival game and not expect trouble.

    Or drunken brewer fans rubbing it in their faces. What's wrong with that? They are in OUR ballpark. If they can't handle it, then don't show up to an opposing team's ballpark.

    At this point, is there any possibility Lawrie goes back to catcher if Salome and LuCroy can't get it done in a few years? I'd think the Brewers wouldn't want to move him, but his defense sounds pretty bad. I know, he young.

    We could always have him work they for a week before interleague play to prepare him for this. A little cross-training might be good for his 3B defense, to get a chance to watch another 3B play from accross the diamond might give him a little different perspective. Remember back in the day when Cirillo was in his prime? He had a kneck injury and couldn't play 3B for awhile because he couldn't turn his head. With no practice, he moved to 1B where he was instantly sensational. I'm not asking Gamel to be sensational at 1B, just better than the limbless stump that plays there now. I don't disagree that it would be a good idea, but I don't want Gamel brought up for the first time to play a position he hasn't played.

    Where's the most logical position for Gamel to play besides 3B? I'm think 1st as we could still have some power at that position and we could easily trade Prince to get some pitching. If Hart hits say .290 this year, would they move him to CF even though he's better in right? I guess it all hinges on Cain's injury and if Cameron comes back.

    The one on ebay is up to $125. Why did the brewers have to make an alt? Yeah its awesome, but I try to get retros and this will be absurd pricing.

    The problem in bringing Gamel up is that he won't get those daily reps at 3rd, which is what he clearly needs.
