  1. Obviously balls over your head in deep center are extremely tough, and no one is as good as Gomez, but Morgan is just so far off on those sometimes.
  2. Hah! Nice. To be fair I'm nervous every time Rodriguez pitches. There's always that token baserunner before he can start mowing guys down, one of these times he's not going to strand 'em.
  3. "K Rod's fastball is now 86-87." A) Do 10 minutes of homework before the game, you moron. B) Look at the radar gun.
  4. Braun needs to be shackled to first base when Fielder's up with two outs.
  5. The announcers continue to think Casey McGehee has been hot. Wasn't he like 3 for 25 on that road trip?
  6. Nyjer Morgan's walk rate is lower than Yuniesky Betancourt's.
  7. In terms of evolution or geography? Or planet?Hah! I was joking because three separate times that inning he brought up that he was from Oregon. Nothing better than analysts being super into themselves. Boomer Esiason Syndrome.
  8. I think that every time Saito has a quick inning, but I don't think we'll ever see Roenicke do it. It's like he thinks Saito's arm will explode if it throws more than 20 pitches in a game.
  9. Stranding leadoff baserunners three consecutive innings sure is enjoyable.
  10. Estrada hasn't thrown more than a couple innings in like 3 months. There's nothing wrong with taking him out there.
  11. 96% of the time, the analyst is an ex-player who has no idea what he's talking about. And I do hate on Rock from time to time, but I do know that he's much more tolerable than a lot of what's out there. Love BA, though.
  12. Williams keeps talking about how balls get outs, not strikes. His career walk rate: 7.1BB/9 IP.
  13. I miss having the FoxTrax box in the lower right part of the screen. If anything you don't have to look up pitch counts online.
  14. He's walked 11 times since May. I knew he wouldn't keep up his pace (16 BB's in April), but his patience is back to where it was his rookie year. Mitch Williams using made up words now, "unexplainable."
  15. Not to continue to pile on, but these announcers are laughably bad. I'm definitely going to watch on mute.
  16. On the national radio broadcast, the PBP guy said "Prince very good with the glove."
  17. Marco Estrada has been no worse than Correia this year. Possibly better.
  18. This is presumably about Prince Fielder's 22nd year playing baseball, and I think he has yet to figure out the first baseman isn't the only defender on the right side of the infield. Clearly it didn't matter there but it seems like every other game he's poaching on balls that are clearly going to the second baseman.
  19. That's easily one of the quicker turns I've seen from a "second baseman".
  20. Just realized 8 of Sheets last 9 outs were strikeouts, nevermind.
  21. Halfway to Tom Seaver's record of 10, which were the final 10 outs in his career high 19 K gameI remember how exhilarating watching Sheets' 18 K game was, I can't imagine ending a start like that with 10 in a row.
  22. Oh yeah, forgot Maholm was lefty. Yay, another Lopez start. I had to laugh at the pitching matchup graphic on FSN last night. In about 40 fewer innings, Greinke had far more strikeouts and far fewer walks than Maholm, yet Maholm's ERA is about 7 tenths of a run better.
