  1. Maybe I'm just used to BA getting excited over routine flyballs, but by the way the PBP guy just called Hill's flyout you would've thought it went 200 feet.

  3. I walked in the house after work as Morgan doubled. You're welcome.

  6. I was thinking this last night after the loss. I wouldn't be too surprised if this happens tomorrow. As poorly as Weeks has been hitting, he can at least take some walks and go deep in the count.
  7. A manager being proactive about taking out a mediocre pitcher pitching poorly in a huge playoff game?
  8. I never thought I'd be happy to see Estrada warming up in the third inning of a playoff game.
  9. I really wish this announcer would stop talking about the Brewers momentum. No one is worried about the Brewers offense.
  10. What about these first 55 pitches makes it look like he's going to turn it around? SIXTH time 2-0. Get someone warmed up.
  11. Back-to-back first pitch strikes. That's the biggest bright spot for him so far.
  12. I'm definitely not upset about Aaron Hill continuously batting second in this lineup. I'm sure Gibson does it because he doesn't strike out as much, and he wants Goldschmidt/Roberts/Young in "run producing" roles, but I'll gladly take an extra PA from Hill over those other guys.
  13. What are the chances Greinke could pitch an inning or so in relief if Wolf doesn't last too long?
  14. I think the reason I'm not really all that nervous, at least compared to games 1 and 2, is that I know Saunders awaits in a potential game 4 if the Brewers don't pull it out tonight.
  15. So basically the strike zone might've been slightly inconsistent, with a couple wrong calls here and there. Sounds like 99% of MLB games played. TLR will never stop topping himself.
  16. Throughout his career, righties are hitting .219/.271/.268 off Ziegler, and lefties .324/.423/.476/.899. Not saying I agree with the call to IBB Kotsay but I at least understand the logic. However, after Hart roped one and you had Morgan coming up, I have no idea why you'd keep him in.
  17. 99% of the time it's a drunk guy between 25-30, seemingly by himself. They also always totally give off the vibe that they try way too hard to impress people in all facets of life. Sorry to say but I disagree with your last point. It's fine at college football games, I just don't like it at baseball games.
  18. You guys need to stop having kids in December/January.
  19. Yeah, things were much better in 2007, but I remember Arizona still had trouble selling out any playoff games, and Cubs and Rockies fans were numerous at Chase Field. I went to a Brewers-Diamondbacks game in Phoenix in late August 2007. Arizona was in first at the time and the stadium was at best 50% full. It doesn't matter how the economy's doing, Arizona doesn't really care about their professional sports in general.
  20. Thankfully it didn't matter, but if the Diamondbacks win last night got them home field or something else major, it would've had to been by far the craziest 24 hours in regular season baseball history. It probably still was.
