  1. Did not care for The Godfather, didn't like, did not like it.
  2. I just lost a hand in online poker, a straight flush 8-9-10-J-Q no the 9 through King. Seriously how does that even happen? Online poker's freakin ridiculous. On a less serious note, Microbiology. I can't believe I took a final exam on Wastewater treatment. Riveting stuff.
  3. I worked at a Cousins Subs a few summers ago, and during orientation I was told to fill the cup 1/2 full of ice. I never really did because it's a joke, but the head manager saw I didn't once, and called me into her office to tell me the rule again, it's ridculous. "People who correct your grammer mid-sentence bug me." Was that done on purpose? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  4. Those were two terrible calls. I was already rooting against WVU because everyone loves them and they're overrated, so that was a nice ending.
  5. Uhhh...space out? I do the same thing, especially with Off-Topic for some reason. I don't even like Van Halen, but I think I've read all the posts in the 'Van Halen Tour' thread, just for an example.
  6. I don't care if the Trop is only 15-20 years old, it was a complete dump. I've only been to six stadiums, but it is by far the worst one I've seen. It's probably good they only plan on 34,000 seats, but what if they get really good in 8 or 10 years and they're always selling out?
  7. Michigan State basketball. I don't even know why I'm watching them maraud NC State right now.
  8. I'm not so sure about that, I mean the shooter could've just as easily had bad aim. Two shots were fired and only one hit him. It definitely seems fishy though, aside from the previous break in, the fact that the person goes straight for Taylor's bedroom and doesn't take anything or go for his wife or kid.
  9. The polls just came out today, Wisconsin is #20 in both the AP and USA Today/ESPN poll. In the voters defense the only decent team Wisconsin has played is Georgia. Anyway as for the actual game I really wouldn't mind seeing Paulus take a few elbows to the face. I think I'd hate him more than Neitzel if he was also in the Big Ten. It should really be a good game, but I'm not exactly confident playing in that stadium with the arrogant student section.
  10. They sell frozen pizzas in our dorm til 3:00 AM, so the roof of my mouth has been burnt many a time late at night on weekends...
  11. I'll admit that I think Dane Cook can be funny (yeah I know), although I have a hard time calling him a comedian when all he really does is make up stories and yell obnoxiously loud.
  12. I'm surprised that people can like Notre Dame football http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/eek.gif MLB: Since 2000 the A's have been my 2nd favorite MLB team. I was in love with Giambi, Tejada, Izzy, Dye, The Big Three, etc. I don't even care about most of them anymore, although I basically have a man crush on Barry Zito and was kind of sad when he signed with the Giants. NFL: Probably the Titans cause Eddie George was/is one of my favorite non-Packers. NBA: Don't follow it too much, but I'll basically root for any Western Conference team that isn't the Lakers or the Spurs. I like Kirilenko, Boozer and Deron Williams so I was pulling for the Jazz this past year. NHL: Don't follow it too much but I've always liked the Maple Leafs and Mats Sundin. NCAA Basketball: I'm a big fan of the Missouri Valley Conference so I always root for UNI, SIU, Creighton, Wichita State, etc. once it comes to the tournament. NCAA Football: South Flordia (I'll admit it's only been since last year cause I did a dynasty with them on NCAA 07) NCAA Baseball: Cal State Fullerton
  13. At least when Valverde does it, it's when the game is over or he's about to end the game. It's ridiculous when Zambrano does it after a K or 2 in the first inning walking back to the dugout. Zambrano's to me would actually be more personal, where Valverde just seems like he has something wrong with him and it's not necessarily directed at anyone on the other team.
  14. Hamels is starting to get hit pretty hard in the 2nd inning, it's already 2-0 Rocks and there's only 1 out. Also does anyone know who these extremely exciting announcers are for TBS?
  15. Chicago over Arizona in 4 (Pains me to say it but I like Cubs pitching better) Philadelphia over Colorado in 4 Boston over Los Angeles in 5 Cleveland over New York in 5 Philadelphia over Chicago in 6 Cleveland over Boston in 7 Cleveland over Philadelphia in 6 I realize I probably made the "sexy" pick for the World Series, but I basically picked what I want it to be. As long as the Cubs or Red Sox don't win it I'd be content. (I didn't mention NYY cause people would probably finally shut up about A-Rod in October).
  16. If Lyle Overbay gets booed, I'll be convinced no ex-Brewer is safe from the boos.
  17. I'd say realistically the Cubs will go either 7-4 or 6-5 in their final 11 games. The Reds seem to have their number, they were 7-5 over the Cubs til last night, and I believe the season series between the Cubs and Bucs is basically split. Like most people have said, the Brewers basically have to hope the Cubs falter more than anything, cause even if the Crew can go say 8-5, it's not really guaranteed.
  18. Cardinals put up 4 runs in the third inning, lead 4-3 in the middle of the 4th.
  19. I was walking into Homeroom in 8th grade. I was the first one into class and my teacher had the TV, which he never did. They had the breaking news on and me and my teacher were discussing if it was accidental or whatnot. A few minutes later the plane flew into the second tower so the answer was pretty obvious. My teacher was from New York and his sister lived just a few blocks away from the towers, so needless to say he was basically freaking out all day trying to come into contact with her. He wasn't even able to contact her for a couple days but she apparently was fine. Definitely one of the most bone-chilling memories I have.
  20. Bees, and I really don't even know why. I realize most of the time they won't sting unless you "provoke them". I've also only been stung twice and haven't been in at least 10 years. But for whatever reason I always freak out if one is buzzing around me...
  21. In play out(s). Game over!
  22. Justin Upton just hit a game-tying home run in the Bottom of the 7th, 4-4. Salazar was up next and doubled. Still nobody out in the inning.
  23. Cards got 4 in the third inning and are threatening in the fourth...DD isn't helping out his old team http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/frown.gif
  24. People at my work who know absoultely nothing about the Brewers but act like they do. I'm definitely not a know-it-all when it comes to the Brewers or baseball in general, but some of these people have no clue. Some things I've heard in the past couple months (paraphrased): "Losing 3 out of 4 to the Pirates is a complete joke. It is absoultely pathetic to lose a series to a terrible team like that. If they can't win a series against the Pirates how are they going to beat actual good teams?" "I'm not surprised at all Sheets is hurt. Does he even like playing baseball? He's on the DL like three times every year." (When the Dunn trade rumors were circulating) " What is Dunn, like a lifetime .200 hitter? Do we really need to add someone who can't even make contact?" I understand everyone will have their own opinions and not everyone can be optimistic, but honestly if you're going to complain about everything the team does, don't even watch them anymore. Luckily I haven't worked since Saturday so I haven't yet heard them declare the season over after Sunday's loss.
  25. I don't know if anyone saw in the Sox-Sox game, but Contrares was left in long enough to give up 10 runs in 7.1 innings. It was a 6 runs at 7.1 and for some reason Ozzie didn't take him out, then Lugo hit a Grand Slam.
