  1. Marquette's doing everything they can to give the game away. Hayward and Mbakwe have missed plenty of open shots. Marqutte should've fouled with 5 seconds left also, up 3.
  2. Yes! It's water. The worst part is after those man law commericals, every guy in college loves Miller Lite and has to mention something from that commerical all the time, cause it makes them cool. I'd rather drink anything else, except for like Classic and La Crosse light.
  3. Made me think of it because he's doing the Marquette game, Gus Johnson.
  4. I'm actually pretty impressed by his self-restraint, it probably would've been easy to drop multiple f-bombs the way he was. There was a lot of "Dog gones" and "damns".
  5. Almost Heroes. Sure it's an extremely dumb "Dumb Comedy", but it never gets mentioned when people talk about Chris Farley. I like it better than Tommy Boy, which find kind of overrated, and just as much as Black Sheep, another underrated one.
  6. This has nothing to do with the movie, but just because IMDB has a movie ranked high doesn't mean it's one of the top movies of all time. Anyone can vote on them, plus I know a lot of times people can vote before a movie comes out. With that being said I actually like the movie. I never thought I'd like Damon Wayans in a movie, but I did.
  7. No way! I seriously love that movie, the last scene is easily one of the saddest ones I'ver ever seen. I'll admit that Jessica Alba is overrated, although she's still pretty darn good looking. Dave Matthews Band is pretty bad too, although being in college like 85% of kids like them.
  8. Ever think of some popular bands, movies, or T.V. shows and wonder why they're so popular? Me too. South Park- Not a terrible show by any means, but I don't really get the hilarity of it. A couple of my friends are obsessed, so whenever we play poker at their house they always have the DVDs on. I probably laugh once or twice during an episode, but I don't really think it should get near the credit it deserves. I'll admit I've only seen about 20 episodes, but there haven't really been any that I thought were too funny. Boondock Saints- It's probably cause I'm in college, but I swear everyone my age LOVES this movie. I saw it for the first time a year ago, and aside from not living up to expectations, I thought it was plain bad. The plot was just so awful, and I firmly believe the only reason it's a "cult classic" is cause of males age 18-25. Tenacious D- Nothing much to say except none of their songs are funny. I'm sure there's more but this is all I can really think of.
  9. A couple years ago I worked at the new Pick N' Save in Oak Creek and Bobby Simmons was signing there. I saw about 10 people walk up to get autographs from him. He actually walked up to me and another guy in the produce department to start talking to us cause he looked so bored, I felt really bad for him. The same day Bogut was at the one in South Milwaukee (this was his rookie year, too) so of course they had lines out the door.
  10. Or the tattoo of his wife taking off her underwear. I mean I obviously feel bad for him, but he somehow needs to get some serious help.
  11. Why isn't Munson starting? He kills Blanton! Man that lineup makes me giddy. The fact that we can even debate batting Braun and Fielder 3-4 or 4-3 makes me feel spoiled.
  12. I don't do that on highways, I was talking more about residential areas. A lot of times in areas around my house (where it's basically 25 everywhere) I'll be driving, say about 33, and people are on my tail. That's when it bothers me cause clearly there's people's frontyards about 6 feet to the right of us. I will agree with you about the drivers in bad weather, though. Unless your tires are terrible or you're learning to drive, you don't need to go 15 under when there's a light snow or something.
  13. Yeah, I'll second the aggressive drivers. I don't drive slow or anything, but impatient drivers really bother me. I'll definitely slow down to well below the speed limit if someone is on my ass while I'm going like 7-10 over, which is probably about usual for me.
  14. Two of my favorite people in college basketball http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. First, the two 150 pounders go over, and one comes back, then the 200 pounder goes over on his own, and the 1st 150 pounder comes back to pick up the other one, at which point the two 150 pounds go back together. Edit: Woops, didn't see Ryne's, sorry.
  16. Brand New- "Guernica" Although honestly, any single song by them off Deja Entendu or The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me has amazing lyrics. I submit no excuse If this is what I have to do, I owe you every day I wake If I could I would shrink myself Sink through your skin to your blood cells Remove whatever makes you hurt But I am too weak to be your cure Also, Only In Dreams is by far the most underrated Weezer song, my favorite by them.
  17. Amen. I think it's really easy to forget this. A lot of bands I liked from the 1990s began to "sell out" in the last few years, aka changing their sound to appease a broader audience. At first I'd get pissed and think, man, now their music sucks. Then I'd realize that they probably played small shows/barely got by for like 10 years so even if their music quality declined, they deserve to make money and gain popularity.
  18. !!!! A couple of my friends played "My Name is Jonas" on GH 3 so incredibly often, that I skipped to the second track the last time I listened to The Blue Album.
  19. I'd say that it is pretty cruel, but if he's actually that stupid to not realize you can't be traded to another country, it's hard to feel bad for him.
  20. I bet he had a nightmare of spiders, and then fell off his couch through a glass coffee table.
  21. JoeHova, I hope you only have Weezer as a guilty pleasure because of "Beverly Hills", and not because of The Blue Album, Pinkerton, Green Album, Maladroit, etc. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif In 7th/8th/9th grade I loved Good Charlotte and New Found Glory, but no longer like them. Does that still count?
  22. Because his grandchildren like Duke, that means Vitale's a big fan or something? Sure he probably likes them, but he always does stuff like that with the students. He was doing a Kansas game a few years ago, and gave Nick Collison a standing ovation and went on and on about him. Heck, Corso always puts on the mascot head of the team he picks to win, I don't think it means he loves them.
  23. Apparently, not actually a no-trade clause. From the updated ESPN article: Although Kobe Bryant is the only player in the league with a specific no-trade clause in his contract, league rules dictate that players on a one-year contract -- but who also ended last season with the same team and are thus eligible for Early Bird or full Larry Bird free-agent rights at the end of the contract -- cannot be traded without their consent.
