  1. I've been up for an hour and just looked out the window now, to see what looks like a huge blizzard. Yikes
  2. Dang that's crazy I go to UWL too. I actually walked by like 3 cop cars tonight....I still have like 1.2 years to be elusive http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/indifferent.gif
  3. I wish I was athletic enough to sit in a car for hours on end. Sorry, I had to
  4. I've only been to 6, but here's my list. 1) PNC Park- I saw the Brewers play there for their 4 game set in July, and fortunately saw the only win of the series. It was like $26.00 for about 15-20 rows up from the dugouts, awesome scenery as well. 2) Camden Yards- Saw it this summer when they played the Yankees. A-Rod had 499 HR's at the time but didn't get one that series. That ticket stub probably would've been worth something. Only problem was it was the end of July which meant it was like 96 and extremely humid at game time. 3) Miller Park 4) "Chase Bank Field" aka the BOB. Obviously really feels like you're inside, but it's clearly necessary when it's like 100 every day over the summer. Inside reminded me of Miller Park, with the TGIF in the outfield and all that jazz. 5) Wrigley Field- I realize the field itself is awesome and if it wasn't for the rest of the stadium it'd be up at the top. The seats are really uncomfortable, the concession area/bathrooms are total garbage, and a lot of the fans are obnoxious. One of my friend's dads has season tickets in pretty good spots (Cause he works in Chicago) so instead of annoying drunk fans, it's a lot of guys in business suits not paying too much attention. Although I will admit there's definitely some knowledgeable fans. Also, the Cubs are 0-5 when I've gone so that's always a plus. I was at the game in '06 when Atlanta hit 7 HR's or something like that. 6)Tropicana Field- Their new stadium couldn't come any sooner. I felt like I was watching the game in a big cellar. No atmosphere at all, and it's not even in Tampa.
  5. Buzz McKillington.
  6. I think I'd personally put Summerfest ahead of the Dells. I can get sick of water parks after a while, but Summerfest never gets old.
  7. Did you have a Bruce Willis-Sixth Sense/Edward Norton-Fight Club type flashback of all the times you've eaten them, coming to the horrifying realization that she's right?
  8. I don't get why some people nod every 30 seconds when a teacher is lecturing. There's like 50 people in class and they act like they're personally being talked to. A girl in one of my classes must've nodded at least 75 times today.
  9. James Dean's older brother?
  10. Boredom got the best of me, and I somehow ended up looking at "List of fatal cougar attacks in North America." There's some pretty scary ones, such as : "Killed while jogging on his high school track in Idaho Springs, Colorado."
  11. For the first time in 11 grand slams, Federer won't be in the final. Djokovic beat him in straight sets.
  12. A friend of mine has a blue-tooth head set, and wears it, All. The. Time. He's a 19 year old able-bodied person who's in pretty good shape, so it's not like it's a necessity for him. The funny thing is I've been in the car before when he's driving and he doesn't have it on, but if we're playing poker or something he's wearing it. Of course we all give him crap but it doesn't matter. What's bugging me is the "OMGZ TOM BRADY IS?/ISN"T WEARING A BOOT IN PUBLIC?!?" The first time it was brought up, I can see how a Pats fan would be concerned about their awesome QB being injured. Showing the video of it all the freaking time is too much. I rarely watching Sportscenter, especially since the Packers are now done. However, is it too much to ask to want to watch it for college basketball highlights without seeing him walking to his car? My god.
  13. It's possible to both walk a lot and strike out a lot. Just cause you stike out a lot doesn't mean you're jumping at bad pitches and early in the count. Look at guys like Dunn/Howard. (I'm not comparing him to them, just pointing out.) Also, Cameron's P/PA has been at 4 or 4.1 the past 4 seasons, which is pretty good.
  14. I'd personally take the Brewers OF over all but maybe 3 of the other ones. I know Pie is an uber-prospect but he doesn't even have 200 Major League at-bats, and Fukudome has none. For the D'Backs, Byrnes is good but I wouldn't call him anything that great, Young obviously has a lot of talent but needs to vastly improve AVG/OBP(especially), plus Upton is still 20. I actually kind of feel like the Reds got slighted at #7. If Griffey can stay healthy it's basically a guaranteed 60+ home runs out of their corner outfielders.
  15. I think J.J. Hardy's whole season will basically be like 2007's July-September for him, nothing to complain about but not the tear he was on the first 2+ months. For pitchers I'll say Villanueva. I don't think he'll ever really establish himself in the rotation.
  16. Nadal just got pounded by Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the Semis in straight sets. I guess he'll, yet again, have to wait for the French Open to get his grand slam title.
  17. Well in that case Chris Paul = greatest basketball player of all time, since he's led the Hornets to the 3rd best record in the NBA all by himself. I guess Minneapolis wouldn't be the greatest. Vikings have never won a Super Bowl, T'Wolves traded a HOFer and now have the worst record in the NBA. Gophers are never really good at football or basketball, although Tubby Smith is turning them around. Then again the Twins have several AL Central championships the last few years, and their hockey is pretty good both college and pro, so maybe not necessarily bottom 5, but not close to the top, either.
  18. A while back when I found out my winter break would be a week longer than usual, I was really excited. Now after five weeks, with all my friends and girlfriend back at their schools, I'm super bored. Surprisingly, sleeping 10 hours a day while spending my 14 waking hours browsing BF/Facebook, playing PS2, eating, and watching whatever college basketball game is on gets boring. I never thought that would happen.
  19. I'd have to think Buffalo is number one on the worst cities list. I can't imagine losing what losing 4 Super Bowls in a row would do to a fan. Also they're a pretty big hockey-town, and they were on the wrong end of one of the worst mistakes by a ref in sports history in the 1999 Stanley Cup. Also, Cleveland should not be on the best cities list. The Browns have made the playoffs once since they were back in Cleveland, the Indians haven't won a World Series since 1948, and the Cavs have never won an NBA Championship. How about Milwaukee for one of the worst five? For major sports there hasn't been a championship since 1971 (Bucks). Last college champ was Marquette 30 years ago. Maybe not quite bottom 5, but certainly down there.
  20. Tenacious D (and Jack Black, for that matter) are the exact opposite of funny. I'll never understand what made them so popular.
  21. When people buy loaves of bread, does anyone eat the end pieces? I don't think I've ever seen anyone do it, they might as well take them out before they're sold.
