  2. Prince top 1st into left-center. Actually how is the wind there?
  3. Don't worry, Gomez fixed his AL Wild Card team. It was supposed to be...the White Sox? He doesn't have the Indians in the playoffs, but he has the White Sox.
  4. I'm hoping it'll either start right away at 1:30, or be delayed by about 2 hours if it's even possible with the weather. I have a 2:15-3:40 class so if it hasn't started by 2:15 I'm sure I'll end up going to it. One of my favorite past times of last summer was reading NSBB after a Cubs loss. I'm just hoping I get to experience it once or twice between now and Thursday.
  5. I'd say that pretty much kills the one-man team argument. 3/14 three's and they're only going to lose by a few to a top 5 team.
  6. Yeah, I'd say I was a lot more crushed by last year's loss than this year. At least this year we went up against the most hyped/arguably the best player in the tournament, last year I'm sure not many people had heard of Wink Adams and Lon Kruger's kid before the game. Plus the nature of how it happened, with UW basically being out of it with 9 minutes left, and Wisconsin taking a 5 point lead last year with a few minutes left only to blow it, factored in as well. Like others said, now the Brewers have officially started for me.
  7. I forgot how fun playing catch was. Unfortunately my arm will probably be dead tomorrow cause it's the first time I threw a baseball in about 8 months.
  8. If you're a Seinfeld fan, you should somehow incorporate the George/Frogger episode, if it's possible.
  9. Yeah it was a sloppy game, but I definitely wouldn't say it's the way Louisville plays. They're easily one of the best defensive teams in the country and one of the best left in the tourney.
  10. I felt old when I found out about a year ago that I'm like 5 months older than Kevin Durant.
  11. Yikes. This may not be as gross, but when I worked at Cousin's someone Najeh Davenported onto the middle of the bathroom floor. The good thing is I helped clean it up so I got a bunch of free food. (Yes, you still had to pay for food even though you worked there...)

  13. The second-to-last scene in Forrest Gump (Forrest talking to "Jenny" at her grave) is by far the saddest scene I've ever seen. I've seen that movie a good 6-8 times and it's impossible to not tear up, especially when he starts talking about Little Forrest. Tom Hanks is the man.

  15. That picture is kind of like the Borat hotel scene, only with spandex on. I really want to go on vacation to the Pacific NW sometime for camping/hiking/etc. Sorry for adding absolutely nothing to this thread.
  16. Seems kind of strange to have Justin Upton on the cover over other young stars. Is the Boston guy supposed to be cut off?
  17. I guess the upside of this is not going to games and having to wait 2 hours for the 4th inning to start.
  18. Yeah, I've never gotten why teams just abandon their offense when the clocks running out. Not necessarily at the end of the game, happens at the end of halves too. Although in A&M's case I think they had less than 10 seconds so it's hard to really run your offense I guess. However, that was really frustrating when McNeal took a 25 footer with 8 seconds left.
  19. Wow, I'm a pretty big fan of Marquette but I really didn't think they were getting hosed. They just didn't have an answer for the Lopez's. McNeal played out of his mind for 4 minutes in overtime, he just couldn't hit the easier shots when it ended, hard to blame anyone for that. I had seen a few Stanford games before this one, but I never realized what a punk ass Robin Lopez was. I couldn't believe how often he was taunting, he really should've been the one with two technicals. All coming back. As for not recruiting big guys, I'd rather have MU's version of bigger athletic guys than the 7 foot stiffs the Badgers run out there every night. You haven't seen the Badgers play, have you?
  20. Wisconsin 70-65 Stanford 67-62- Stanford's a good defensive team, and Marquette can be pretty good defensively, too. I'd be surprised if either team gets higher than the low 70s.
  21. Lucky me, my parents moved Easter to today since I'm going back to La Crosse tomorrow, so I get to go out to eat by my grandma's in Kenosha at 4... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  22. Wow, 20 out of 32 in the first round for this one, I'm kind of embarassed. At least I still have 14/16 left in the Sweet 16, which I'd guess is pretty good.
  23. I know it's only a half and he's probably antsy, but Flowers has looked real bad. He keeps trying to push it everytime, and some other players have been getting sucked into Fullerton's tempo, too. Wisconsin's probably at their season average for turnovers. What a crappy half so far.
  24. That's not the first time I've seen him gamble on stupid plays. My opinion, overreaction or not. I agree 100% with you there. In that situation, it is simply stupid to go for a steal, there's really no other way to put it. However, I was responding to when you said he "can NOT" play defense, which I disagree with. (I'm not tying to drag this on, I just wanted to clarify what I was saying so I don't look like a jerk.) The B10 soon to be 2-0 with Purdue about to knock off Baylor. I like Baylor and all cause it's a good story, but giving up 90 points to a team that doesn't even average 70? I wonder if they practice defense.
  25. I think it's because he's so cocky...which would be fine if he could back it up but man the guy just makes some boneheaded plays and is severely overrated. But the thing is, he's not severley overrated. He obviously hasn't lived up to his billing yet, but people now recognize that he's not as good as originally thought. For him to be overrated, he'd have to be looked at as their best player, a role McNeal has clearly taken this year. And yeah he makes some mistakes, but who doesn't? A normal player does something, someone says "that wasn't a good play." James does the same thing, and people are calling for the firing squad. I'm probably guilty of this too, but I think some of us get spoiled watching Wisconsin (I could be way off here, though), a team that rarely makes dumb mistakes. That way when James does it's easy to criticize. It probably seems like I'm in love with the guy, but I'm really not. I think it sucks he hasn't improved too much over the last two years, but I also don't need to jump down his throat every game.
