  1. I really don't see any way Bob Knight would go back to Indiana. They're losing Gordon and White next year anyway so it's hard to imagine they'll be that great anyway, I mean they still haven't even beaten a ranked team this year with the two of them. In Andy Katz chat he mentioned Tony Bennett for a possible replacement. It's obviously hearsay but that would still really suck.
  2. The AD at Indiana said it "Hasn't been decided" when asked if he would be fired. I'd say that's not exactly great news for Sampson.
  3. All the time, another reason why I hate that it gets dark so early. I've taken naps before for about three hours, where it's snowed quite a bit in that time period so it feels like I was asleep 15 instead.
  4. Last week Kal Penn (the guy in Van Wilder and Harold and Kumar) and Scarlett Johansson were at the University of Minnesota to support Obama. I go to UW-La Crosse, and today I get an e-mail saying "Thursday on campus, celebrities Kal Penn and (cue me freaking out cause I'm thinking Scarlett Johansson is going to be here) and Brandon Routh will be here to support Obama." That was a big disappointment.
  5. Brewer's games, Summerfest, not being afraid to go outside for more than 5 minutes for fear of frostbite.
  6. I'd personally love to study abroad. I'm still only a sophomore and would love to sometime in the next couple years, but I have a feeling money might be a problem. I guess like other's have said, if you have the money for now I'd jump on it.
  7. Apparently it's really close and there's just final contract details to be worked out. I hadn't heard of it either til this. The only shows on right now I really watch are The Office and Scrubs. Scrubs hasn't exactly blown me away the last couple seasons, but it's still the final season so I'll be anxious to see the last few episodes. Ken? Am I missing something? YES! More new episodes of The Office! Can't wait. "Ken Tremendous" from firejoemorgan is a T.V. writer, and he plays Mose on The Office cause he wrote a few episodes.
  8. I'd like Sheets, Yo, Suppan, Cappy, Bush, Villy in the bullpen, Parra in AAA, and Vargas traded. It's probably going to be something close to this too.
  9. I think UNC will have a tough time getting a #1. UCLA's been hot, and if they win the Pac 10 regular season, a really good conference where only OSU is a guaranteed win, I think they should get a 1. If Kansas wins the B12, which they probably should, they'll likely get a 1. Duke will get a 1 if they win the ACC, and there's no way Memphis doesn't win the regular season and C-USA tournament title. Even if one or more of those teams slips, I think G'Town might pass them in the pecking order, of course after seeing how they do at 'Ville.
  10. I'm not sure if I want to check out the political/religious forum. If I find out someone has totally different views I might not like them on here anymore http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  11. Wow, I guess I'm in the minority when it comes to the Griffey games. I absolutely loved "ML Baseball with Ken Griffey Jr." and never really got into Slugfest. Too used to the original I guess. For more modern ones I'd say definitely MVP '05, only played it for PS2 though.
  12. I agree I'd probably want comedies I could watch over and over. Dumb and Dumber Office Space Ace Ventura Ace Ventura 2 Mallrats And just cause I really like these: Pulp Fiction The Departed Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Original Star Wars trilogy It's 11, oh well.
  13. I know it's a really small sample size, but is Kendall's arm on a big decline? He threw out only 2 out 50 some potential base stealers with the Cubs. I have no idea how well the Cubs pitchers held guys on, but it's at least a little disconcerting. If he for some reason doesn't bat 8th, I'll also freak. I wouldn't be extremely shocked if it's like Kendall 2 and Hardy 8 because of J.J's success there last year.
  14. Tucker hasn't played in a game since he's been back from the D-Leage (a couple weeks), so I can't imagine that if he plays it will be a significant amount. To add to the sentiment here, why the heck did Phoenix do this? Shaq's down to like 14 and 7 or something this year and is hurt off and on. Why on Earth would they want him with that salary? I mean I know very little about the NBA so maybe I'm missing something, but still.
  15. Wow that's insane! I mean I guess it makes sense since they're all hilarious, and The Office is pretty hilarious. That's still pretty crazy though.
  16. I realize that fact that he had all the prescription drugs is really shady, but I still think it's pretty unfair to just assume that he snorted them altogether, or purposely did it in some other way. I'm obviously not a coroner or anything, which is why I'll believe whatever the reports have to say.
  17. I still don't think I'll ever understand the "good game caller". I mean is it in some way how he talks to the pitchers? Do pitchers rarely have to shake off his signs? To me it always seems like bad offensive catchers get pegged as this.
  18. You saw him do it? You probably should've told the police.
  19. I think it has to be Pujols. A-Rod would be really close, but he's about 4-5 years older than Albert.
  20. Gus Johnson. I also like the Musburger/Lavin/Andrews team, and not just because of Erin. I'm a Jay Bilas fan, and unlike a lot of people I kind of like Dickie V. Andy Katz, even though he's not really an announcer, is a favorite too. He usually has interesting articles/reports/etc. I guess I mostly watch college basketball... Phil Simms!
  21. I'll have to disagree with you about Matt Lepay, I really enjoy listening to him. I think it's good to have that much enthusiasm, but that's just my opinion of course. While I don't mind Brian Anderson, I wouldn't call him "terrific". He really kind of overstates things. For example, if a Brewer hits an average ground ball back up the box for a single, it turns into "A line shot by Prince Fielder!" A lazy fly ball turns into "Just missing it", etc. Has anyone ever listened to a UWM basketball game on the radio? Talk about awful, every foul against the Panthers is a terrible call.
  22. I think Boston passed New York for me this year. Don't get me wrong, I hate the Yankees, but aside from them I don't really hate any New York teams. I don't pay much attention to the NBA so I don't care about the Knicks, and I'm pretty indifferent toward the Jets and Giants (even though they're in New Jersey). I really hate both the Patriots and their fans. I hate Red Sox fans too, although I don't necessarily hate the team.
  23. Considering I hate Guns 'N Roses (Well, mostly Axl Rose) with a passion, I'd say it's one of the worst.
