  1. I loved the "Hair Bear Bunch". One banana, two banana, three banana, four"! I can still sing the whole theme. If you are from that cartoon era, youtube has Laff a Lympics on it. I play them for my son.
  2. That is classic. Sorry, I should have made myself a little clearer as to which Brett I was referring to. Razzzor by the way thanks for putting my heart in SVT(supraventricular tachycardia)! I had to give myself a precordial thump to restart my heart!
  3. Rillo, I would love to see it a lot less than 220 but I'm afraid that we will need that type of output this year.
  4. 16-11 record 212 K's ERA 3.87 WHIP 1.28 IP 220
  5. I come to this site daily and the picture of Brett on the front page is getting to me. Anyone else there with me?
  6. To add to sbrylski about the Southern league, not only did we have those 5 guys hit like they did but they also did it against some of the best arms in the minors like Kershaw, Price, Volsted, and even Samardzija. The wave that is in AA I am very excited about. I am not a fan of Peter Gammons but when he said that the group at Huntsville has the most amount of major league talent that he had ever seen assembled on one team, I was even more stoked. Yes, I realize that we traded some of them away but we still collectively have a very strong group. I love the way LouisEly broke down the waves. The fourth and sixth are my favorites! No maybe we don't have 2 guys rated in the top 20 prospects anymore but I don't remember when we have had arguably this many in the top 40-150. Sure they won't all pan out but unlike other years, this past year I had to check out the stats on every roster daily(other than Nashville) because every team had 2-5 players that I truly had to follow.
  7. To add to ILDB's post I would also say Loney has more upside as a jockey
  8. Jason Statham. The guys just rocks.
  9. You could always grab the phone book and count the number of names ending in ski. That would take a full 4-5 hours easy!
  10. He hurt his arm in high school, he had a very good arm prior to that. I have seen him a couple of times in the minors playing the outfield and his arm was surprisingly better than expected but don't get me wrong it is not major league cannon.
  11. Boundry Waters without a doubt. What is up with Redgranite? I lived there for 3 years and my grandmother lived there until she passed away. I like Elmers pizza but that is about it. Pearl lake is overpopulated to me. The quarries are nice.
  12. I have smelled a few dead bodies but the worst was one that came out of a fire. Burning flesh stays in your nose forever.
  13. Krystal Fernandez Eva Mendes Megan Fox Amy Smart Natasha Henstridge
  14. Ummmm....count me out. I have been to about 40 games in my life and the Brewers record is around 3-37 in games that I have attended. I do want to say that doing this is just an awesome gesture.
  15. DM was on ESPN radio after the game tonight for about a 3-4 min segment. He reaffirmed that Yost and him talked about the trade and that Weeks is the starter and that Durham would provide 1-2 starts a week and another left handed bat off the bench.
  16. I grew up in Berlin, Wi. so I was lucky enough to have friends who worked at lawsonia and got to golf there once a week for 20 bucks with cart. Loved it. Whenever I come back from Iowa to visit, I make a 3 day tour by playing Lawsonia, Tuscumbia(oldest course in the state), and Mascoutin. Someone earlier mentioned playing Big Fish(Hayward, Wi.) and that it is expensive, personally I think for the course it is priced reasonably. I love the change is the style of the course from a links like front nine to a more traditional wood lined back nine. The Bull is very very good also. Near Madison, I do like the Oaks and Six Mile Creek.
  17. I would love it if that was true. I personally am for not making this trade. I would rather do the Tony jr for Maddux scenerio instead and wait till the offseason to make a trade for a top flight starter with Prince being the major player leaving
  18. Aftering living in Omaha for 3 years and consuming plenty of steaks, I have found that Jacobsons deli has just as good of steaks. Actually most true butcher shops steaks are just as good if they purchase local beef that is corn feed without any added growth hormones and have not been frozen.
  19. Word around Algona is that this is the first year since Nelson broke his hamate that he has not felt any weakness in his grip. Also this is the first year that the hitting coach is not trying to "fix" his swing allowing him to be more comfortable at the plate. I know that living in his home town makes me biased but I still vote for Brad on this one.
  20. Colbyjack are there any prospects in the northwestern part of Iowa that I should go out and see? Living here in Algona, I know that a few players have gone on to play for perfectgame and have appreciated your responses in the past. So was just curious about this season and your knowledge about the area.
  21. I will give men a pass if they work in the medical field. I know plenty of surgeons that wear them in the OR. They say crocs are comfortable and as stated before their feet don't sweat. I would not give anyone a hard time knowing that they could have their hands inside of me.
  22. Please tell me he went to bat with "Welcome Back" playing.
  23. My thanks to the guys that provide this thread. It is the filet mignon of the site. I savor every bit/bite of info.
  24. As far as athletism goes, I do know that he scored 50 points in a highschool basketball game. Not sure what that really means except that he is not just all thumbs. I also know that since his days as a snapper, every level he has gone to has tried to tweek his swing in different ways. Too much coaching can be a hinderance just as no coaching. I have to wonder with all that tweeking, is he thinking too much up at the plate and not just relaxing? Also on a personal note Brad is engaged to a Wittemore Ia. woman, no word on the actually wedding date but Congrats Brad!
