  1. Sorry to hear it, bigblast. What kind of package do you have? Several of us who'd been waiting have Sunday Plus 20-packs.
  2. At long last, it is Ticket Day at the house of hawing.
  3. It's certainly more colorful than our guy in a costume going down a slide. The colors, man. The colors.

  5. Though I don't know you much outside of the internets, I think you would like Seattle and environs. Plus time it well and you could catch a ballgame at Safeco and have an awesome salmon sandwich (unless you don't like salmon). PM me if you decide on that area and I'd be happy to share with you what we did on our trip there. Also - if you go to DC with Mrs. NMF before your school trip, you will not run out of things to see. Will. Not. I mean, dude, you're a history teacher. Plus you'll be that much more acclimated to the place when you do take your school trip. (Also, time it well and you could catch a ballgame at Nationals Park, which is no Safeco, but is OK.) Consider the good ideas you're getting in this thread, but your short list is kind of like your gut reaction for what you want to do - don't discount it. Edit: I should add that I'm not a foodie either, but that salmon sandwich was the bomb.
  6. I was mildly surprised that the water seemed to spout on only one side of the "feature." Maybe it's still being tweaked.
  7. As a recent purchaser of a Lucroy jersey, I'm delighted by this news.

  9. The oversized image may be the most exposure M.L. Guy gets on the internets.
  10. Would 'the juice' make someone's eyebrows extra bushy? I'm only about 90% on board with a countdown to opening day because we still don't have our 2012 tickets, but it's day 12, which to me means... http://bluejays.gearupforsports.com/blog/files/2010/12/Carlos-Villanueva.jpg http://www.halloffamememorabilia.com/images/products/p-536742-matt-stairs-autographed-hand-signed-mlb-baseball-card-milwaukee-brewers-2002-fleer-4-aw-48144.jpg "Changing Places" just seems like the right phrase to describe Mighty Matt's career.
  11. If I were a Cardinals fan, I'd totally want to get a 91 GUY jersey.
  12. The S.O. called our ticket rep Friday afternoon. His outgoing voice mail message said that all tickets should be shipped by Monday 3/26 and if they're not received by Wednesday 3/28, then it's time to call. We also got the tickets we ordered for a separate game in today's mail. So at least the Brewers still acknowledge we're here.
  13. Russell in Oakleys. *swoon*
  14. I'll admit, even I thought right away, that sounds like an answer that's intended to make people stop wondering.
  15. The Brewers spring back into action. See what I did there? 2B Rickie Weeks CF Nyjer Morgan LF Ryan Braun 3B Aramis Ramirez 1B Mat Gamel C Jonathan Lucroy SS Alex Gonzalez RF Carlos Gomez RHP Zack Greinke
  16. Playing on a trampoline seems like quite a dice roll for a professional athlete. Obviously a lot of other activities are also dice rolls, but the trampoline just seems so unnecessary.
  17. Don Walker on JSOnline says ticket sales are 10% ahead of last year at this time, and cites a MLB source that expects the Brewers to exceed 16,000 in full-season-equivalent ticket packages. http://ht.ly/9PdVQ I remember when the Brewers were feeling good about 10,000 full-season-equivalent customers. Maybe this helps explain the relative slowness in getting tickets to season customers.
  18. To be fair, the letter with the vouchers said tickets would begin to be shipped the week of March 12. Having said that and having tried to sound like a patient adult...the S.O. would verify, if asked, that I've been mildly grouchy every evening upon arriving home and finding no tickets in the mail. I think the fan's choice tickets are printed right there at Miller Park. The preset 20-packs on up are the fancier 'photo' tickets and are presumably printed by a third party. That would help explain the fan's choice tickets being shipped first.
  19. There's probably a father-son joke in there somewhere, but I'm going to hold off.
  20. CF Carlos Gomez RF Nyjer Morgan 2B Rickie Weeks 3B Aramis Ramirez 1B Mat Gamel SS Alex Gonzalez C Jonathan Lucroy LF Norichika Aoki RHP Yovani Gallardo Theoretically, if the game is close enough, Nyjer could drive in Carlos again.
  21. Nice. REAL nice. I'd guess the statue will be in a standing position, since the other three are, but I wonder what Bob's pose will be. Miller Lite in one hand, Usinger's Brat/krisp kraut/Silver Spring Beer n Brat Mustard in the other? Edit: Not per Adam McCalvy's blog (http://brewersbeat.mlblogs.com/2012/03/21/uecker-riffs-on-statue/):
  22. Giving out 10,000 glasses for a Saturday night game? I'm not sure I would do that.
  23. It looks like some people got there 20 packs already. Did he say when they'll be shipped? At least some of the responders in this thread received fan's choice packages. I suppose this means there's no reason for me to rush home from work tomorrow. SIGH.
  24. NOYUNI or YUNINO?
