  1. I thought the Team Store at MP used to sell dark gray jerseys. I remember seeing some in the display windows sometime in the last few seasons (not this season). Perhaps the store manager would know when they were sold and if they are still available.
  2. I'm afraid I don't have much substantial to offer in this thread, besides good luck for billyhallfan; but I'd be interested to know what a .5 wearing of a suit means. Just the jacket? Just the pants? Some other iteration of "halfway"?
  3. This. As some of you know from the chat room, if I'm not at a game, I often prefer to follow by radio instead of TV. That doesn't mean I won't rush to the TV to catch a good replay (or the play if radio is ahead).
  4. I'm going to miss most of this due to day-job issues, but afternoon baseball is fun when you can follow it as it happens. Come on, Brewers, this is one of those times when you can make hay (though the sun is not literally shining).
  5. I know your incoming turf is both, but I fail to see why you can't represent the turf with some green foods and some "articifical" foods. And since this is for your dog, I assume other dogs are invited and dog food/treats will be available. I think it could work.
  6. We noticed that too at the park last night, and I just watched the video clip. It could be just the way the clip was put together, but it looks like Carlos was already home before Bernie went down the slide. thablingster and I have an unofficial "spot the ex-Brewer jerseys/shirseys" thing going. Practically every game has Hardys and Fielders on multiple fans. Last night, I saw a road Bryce Florie jersey. That's 1996 or 1997. I haven't even thought about Bryce Florie in I'm guessing at least the last decade. Props to that fan for the blast from the past. Weirdness: the hawing household has now been to two Friday games, two Sunday games and two Tuesday games this youngish season. The Brewers are .000 on Fridays and Sundays, and 1.000 on Tuesdays. Guess that's baseball.
  7. I don't have a single stickiest earworm, but I seem to be prone to earworms in general. At the moment: Hustle (HUSTLE) hustle (HUSTLE) hustle (HUSTLE) hustle HARD...
  8. Maybe this is too easy, but why can't a theme be both artificial and green? Like your turf? Be sure to get some obviously fake (and green) plants/flowers for your decorations.
  9. Phew. Maybe the 2012 Brewers (I hope only the April 2012 Brewers) are destined to have one faltering reliever per game, and tonight it was Veras.
  10. Oh, man, that's so unfair. Jose Altuve has a normal looking face.
  11. And here I was just thinking about having relative confidence in Jose Veras.
  12. If only this bases-loaded opportunity could help Rickie out (and the Brewers).
  13. Yeah. But if I already paid $19.99 or whatever for Gameday Audio, why do I need to pay again for phone access to audio?
  14. For me, it's nerve-wracking to watch Rickie run hard to first - after watching his ankle sprain live last summer.
  15. If it seems to me that a single Gameday Audio subscription should work on a desktop, laptop or mobile device...I'm just really naive, right?
  16. I noticed the same thing on Tuesday, then wondered why I hadn't noticed it during the STL series, then reminded myself that we'd only attended day games in that series.
  17. Oh, yeah. Kudos to Marco. /hoping against hope that Manny doesn't reverse the good
  18. I know what Mrs. Nottso does for a living, and this bugs me too.
  19. During his first at-bat of Friday's game, Ryan Braun fouled a ball which caromed off the loge press box wall and clipped me above my left elbow before landing in the lap of a Red Sox fan across the aisle. I'm hoping for at least a bruise for my trouble, but so far nothing. Edit: And the son of Red Sox Guy was hoisting a Yankees scarf later in the game. What is wrong with that family?
  20. Based on Friday's small sample, I think Aoki stands a decent chance of more starts in CF.
  21. Be up-front with your dentist about it, or even the reception staff when you call for an appointment. It's such a common fear that no one in dentistry should be surprised or offended by it, and they can then proceed in a way that takes your fear into account and hopefully eases it. If you don't like the way they respond when you tell them of your fear - like if they're all "so what" or something - explore your options for a different dentist. There are dentists who gear their practices to dental phobic patients. For some reason I'm OK with the dentist, but I do get anxious about other medical things. I've learned to be forthcoming in telling health care providers about it (though at my regular clinic, evidence of my anxiety is all over my chart anyway) and more often than not, they respond thoughtfully. 1992casey is also correct. Confronting health problems (dental or otherwise) can be scary, but letting them go unaddressed is usually worse. Good luck.
  22. Waaah, I think of Jim Powell every time I hear an ad for Wisconsin cranberries.
