  1. Should the Braves record an unprecedented road sweep by Wednesday, we'll know whom to flame. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/indifferent.gifOtherwise, nice work as always.
  2. Hmm. This is one of those matchups that doesn't look promising on paper. Here's hoping this is one of those nights that proves why games aren't played on paper. Do it for me, Brewers. I haven't been to a game in two weeks and since our next game (Sunday/ESPN) doesn't seem promising either, I'd like to see something non-sucky.
  3. Sunday's game was quite close for 7+ innings. Just saying.
  4. "Across" does not have a "t" or a "t" sound in it! It could be worse, though. I could be in Oklahoma getting raked by tornadoes. The radar on this Oklahoma City TV station's website had a "black core" on it. Black on the radar! I'm used to red being the strongest storms, maybe dark red.
  5. After Gregg Zaun's home run in Sunday's game, FSWisconsin showed him in the dugout with his helmet off, and I swear it looked like he had highlights in his hair. Either that or the lighting in the dugout was just so.
  6. Man, who would have thought this time last Sunday that the Brewers could salvage the road trip as much as they did? I watched this game from a relative's house and was encouraged by the Narv-dog's performance, not to mention Chris helping his own cause. The family and I were also distressed to see Soup give up hit, hit, hit in the 9th. I suppose all's well thanks to the pitcher's best friend. Keep rolling, Brewers. Don't feel that returning to Miller Park has to stop you. Oh - and sometime in the FSWisconsin broadcast, I heard someone send it back to Craig using the nickname "Coshuny." http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif Not cool. Not cool at all.
  7. Somewhat related: the Wisconsin State Journal had a story about Craig Coshun in Sunday's edition. I especially enjoyed this part: I thought Craig was all right when he did the sports on Channel 15 in Madison back a little ways, but he's not my favorite play by play voice.
  8. http://cdn-8.psndealer.com/e2/dealersite/images/brewercycles/header_image_both.jpg There's a Brewer Cycles in North Carolina. http://bloximages.chicago2.vip.townnews.com/journaltimes.com/content/tncms/assets/editorial/c/b8/398/cb8398e2-5b26-11df-a29e-001cc4c002e0.image.jpg?_dc=1273380806 And here's our most recent Brewer Cycle man.
  9. In honor of Jody Gerut hitting for the cycle Saturday, let's have a "cycle" thread, just for fun (keeping images and posts bf-appropriate, of course). http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/image/PetsUnited/T651030_100321 It's a hamster/gerbil wheel, but it looks like a cycle! http://strategicplan.illinois.edu/images/cycle.gif Jody is a native of Illinois. Here is a Planning Cycle for the University of Illinois. http://www.treehugger.com/galleries/circular-bike-vicious-cycle-bike-photo.jpg A circular cycle? Crazy talk!
  10. I don't mean to be a downer, but I think the Gorman signing at the Madison West Menards may have already happened. Link
  11. While I'll never take joy in an injury, I'm okay with this roster move.
  12. Oh, thanks for the reminder. I guess I still have a reason to stay up late tonight. What do you know - it's 3-2. Cory needs to interview past players more often during games.
  13. I was wondering a similar thing. Part of me thinks that if Brian's destined to be the TBS guy, let's just get it over with. For those of you with radio or MLB audio access, Geoff Jenkins is currently in the booth with Cory and Davey. It appears to be the first meeting between G-Whiff and Cory.
  14. I was watching downstairs (our computer is upstairs) and had asked Casey to get on in the first so Jody could drive everyone in. That obviously didn't happen, so the second inning began like this in the hawing living room: hawing (to S.O.): Now watch, Jody's going to go deep here. (Jody complies) hawing utters something NSFBF. I guess we hope the Brewers get to Valdez more and Randy settles down. Oh, and in my opinion, Cory + Davey >>>>> Coshun + Rock.
  15. Woohoo! A game whose start time doesn't automatically spell sleep deprivation for CDT fans. Nice, Rickie. Somebody score him!
  16. Ben Brust has committed to Wisconsin.
  17. I read this morning that several players are tied with 5 RBI in a debut game, with the most recent being Ben Grieve in 1997.
  18. When I saw this story in the Wisconsin State Journal, I thought of JimH5 - since he is just about the only person I know (or virtually know) who takes an interest in bulls goring people. Jim, you'll have to pay a visit to Restaurant Magnus in Madison one of these days.
  19. I sort of called the DP in the chat room, with several witnesses. I'm happier to have the win than to have guessed correctly.
  20. I'm done with my administrative stuff, so come visit the chat room if you wish!
  21. Friendly question: is there a reason you keep spelling Weeks' first name "Ricki"? I'm not trying to be all grammar police on you. It makes me think of Ricki Lake, is all - which is not necessarily a thought I want to have during ball games. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I guess that wild pitch kind of-sort of helped make up for Inglett being thrown out. Also, the "Diego" nickname has made it easier for some of us not on the Jim Edmonds bandwagon to still cheer him on. I admit that I am part of that group.
  22. He's hoping to get on a MiLB roster later this year and allows for the remote possibility of a September callup, but he also described the 2010 season as "a wash." One thing I like about Mark is how well-spoken he is. Heck, put Mark in the booth with Cory.
  23. ooh, Mark DiFelice has joined Cory and Davey in the radio booth! I miss Mark.
