  1. Separate observation: With the mlb.com feed including commercials today, it's nice to be reminded that Palermo's is "pizzeria perfect." http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  2. It's good to know I'm not the only one with low volume, since in that case it's probably not my hearing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Did anyone catch what Ben's pitch count was? Gameday shows he faced nine batters but I don't see the pitch count.
  3. Tardy starting lineup: Weeks 2B Gomez CF Braun LF Edmonds RF Zaun DH Kottaras C Escobar SS Heether 3B Wilson 1B Yovani avoids having to swing the bat. And Sheets has already reached his pitch limit. See ya, Ben.
  4. The crowd was enthusiastic, though stopped short of delirious.
  5. Good karma for jrodbrewcrew. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. I won't lie. It's terrific to see activity in the IGT forum again. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. Yep, that is the menu where I only sometimes see WTMJ as an option, and when it does appear I can't select it - the menu only lets me choose mlb.com. Right now, with the Giants feed playing, the drop down menu gives me no options (just a blank). After following the Gameday link and clicking on the WTMJ link as suggested by chowyo123, I finally am prompted to purchase Gameday Premium for $19.95. So now I wonder if that's the only way to get 2010 regular season audio. I have no desire to get MLB.TV. I'm going to think about this later. Thanks for the suggestions. Edit: Tonight, after hunting all over mlb.com and following numerous busted links, I finally found the page for renewing only the audio for 2010 - so now I'm listening to Uecker in Thursday's archived game, and I'd better be able to hear WTMJ live in future games. I had the option to select automatic renewal but chose to unclick that box. I hope no one needs the link from me because I doubt I could find it again.
  8. I just revisited (without re-logging in) and WTMJ is finally an option on the Brewers v. Giants menu. Hey, Cory, it's been a while! Edit: Dang it, now I only have the mlb.com option again. In the daily list of games both WTMJ and mlb.com appear, but once I get to the media player screen I did not (except only momentarily) get a choice in the dropdown menu. So selecting WTMJ from the list of games gets me nowhere, while selecting MLB.com does work. If it's a matter of my renewing, I'd be happy to do it if I could just see where to do so.
  9. Well, that's what this month is all about - right? Identifying the wheat and the chaff? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  10. I suppose that's not impossible. I don't think I authorized them to do that, nor to retain my credit card information. But I thought an annual subscription got you access through spring training of the next year. Maybe I'll log out and try TMJ again. (edit: which didn't work - still only mlb.com feed access)
  11. Will mlb.com remind me when it's time to renew for 2010? I use only Gameday Audio and don't see a renewal option. (Hence, if the price is up to $19.95, I cannot tell.) Edit: Never mind - I figured it out and have renewed.
  12. I hope the ticks aren't spreading Lyme disease. Sorry. I've edited the thread title for clarity.
  13. Courtesy of anyone we know? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif For what it's worth, mlb.com is still accepting my account information from 2009 - I haven't reupped for 2010 yet - but I can only connect to the mlb.com feed, not WTMJ. I'm glad it's working for someone, though. As for thin skin, I have a smidge more sympathy for the Giants than I did for the 2008 Pirates (some of whom apparently couldn't believe that Ryan and the Brewers might have thought that 9/25/2008 grand slam was worth celebrating). I'm looking forward to some non-Thursday games; this is my low employee coverage afternoon of the week this semester. Finally...woot for Rickie!
  14. My fan crush on Jon Leuer is large enough to distract me for one night from waiting impatiently for baseball. Missed you, Jon. Missed you big time. During the playing and singing of our time-honored Varsity tonight, the videoboard at the Kohl Center showed two grandma-aged women, one wearing a #3 jersey and the other sporting a #12. That was pretty cool and I wish I'd had my camera at the ready. Another nice touch: the first-half introduction of the Badger women silver medalists for USA hockey. I think the UW arranged that specially for tristarscoop. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  15. That's wonderful.
  16. I'm glad the girls' tournament is finally back where it belongs, in the Kohl Center, and am looking forward to catching a semifinal session there later this month. I understand why the WIAA experimented with the Alliant Energy Center, but having them play at the Coliseum did little more than send the message, "You're second-rate." I'm not looking to hate on the Coliseum, but for basketball the facility just does not measure up well to the Kohl Center. I'll hope for the best, as always, for my Monroe Cheesemakers, but I don't feel knowledgeable enough to make overall predictions.
  17. From the link supplied by Invader in the post above: Adam McCalvy anticipated my thought (italicized by me in the quote) perfectly, if not verbatim. I'll reemphasize that I'm a Corey Hart fan and hope he rebounds this season, but his scruffy hair + large tats + sports goggles just might result in visual hilarity.
  18. He'll be here all season, ladies and gents! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  19. I don't remember how many rows the dugouts take up. I have some photos of the seating areas around the Brewers' dugout at home and could try to remember to look. Or, you could ask a ticket rep, who can probably answer the question faster than I can.
  20. Our ticket rep emailed us mid-morning to say that the "email blast" is going out today but he could take our order now by phone or email. So I just got off the phone with him and I will be seating a hawing party of 11 in section 115 on April 3. I'm genuinely excited by this. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I don't know (and in my excitement did not ask) when the exhibition game tickets become available to the general public. The season ticket holder emails come to the S.O.'s inbox, not mine, so I haven't seen what's in the email blast yet - but the length of the presale for season ticket holders should help determine when the general public can begin to buy. Edit: Per brewers.com, exhibition game tickets go on sale to the general public Wednesday morning. Thus Monday and Tuesday must be the season ticket holder window of opportunity. I don't know that season ticket holders would have to wait for the email, since I did not have to this morning.
  21. The iPhone commercial of October 2008? I further betrayed my dorkiness by playing it repeatedly the week I discovered it.
  22. Regarding the exhibition games...our ticket rep (for the hawing and ewizabeff parties) told me a couple of weeks ago that he thought the Brewers would be emailing season ticket holders about a pre-sale opportunity to start around March 1. I got the impression from that message that the sale would begin March 1, but we haven't seen an email yet (and I'm guessing ewizabeff hasn't either). Maybe the "email blast" (ticket rep's phrase) goes out March 1.
  23. You could chase hurricanes instead of tornadoes. Though, I suppose the hurricanes would instead find you. Anyway, congratulations on one acceptance. You might find it's not the only one.
