  1. Pinella is serving as a somber reminder of just how much worse our announce team could actually be. So he's not representing the FOX attitude?
  2. Nice to see brewers19 at the head of the IGT. Please don't suck today, Brewers. More people than usual are watching. Try to make STL wait another day. Plus it's Sheeter on the mound. Surprise him with some runs!
  3. Oh, guys. Don't play like this on FOX.
  4. "Prince Fielder and Bill Hall connected on back-to-back homers off Dan Kolb." This appeared next to the front-page box score on brewers.com a few minutes ago. It actually made me hopeful that STL had made some miracle (for us) last minute deal for Kolb.
  5. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo But why not? I mean, what's the difference going to be now? How long did Cappy last tonight? What a bummer second half for him.
  6. Wow, Jeff Weaver is some kind of world beater. You know, he didn't look all that awesome in his start at Milwaukee on the 19th. But dagnab if that didn't turn out to be the 2-12 crapfest.
  7. Keep up the good work, Brewers. I'll be hoping for you from the Field House.
  8. The Astros game thread on last night's Brewers game was 11 pages longer than this one. Wow, and check out the different emoticons their board has.
  9. As someone who has to wear a shirt and tie at a minimum every day... No requirement for below the waist? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I'm really sorry. I couldn't resist. Peavey, next time give the Lands End stores a chance. (inlet out by the west side Target, and even the seconds' store on State) Not that you and I are looking for the same styles, but they have become my primary outfitter, and might represent a better match of quality + price than what you tried last night (before finding the sale). If the State St. Lands End didn't exist, I'd either have dramatically fewer clothes or dramatically less money (because I'd have had to find clothes elsewhere).
  10. Maybe TGJ has the mindset that Ned has been seeking (apparently in vain)?
  11. I'd be much more excited if we were actually fighting for a playoff spot instead of trying to knock the Cardinals out. Yeah, of course. But I'll take this for now.
  12. Oh, please, Brewers. Don't let this one slip away.
  13. Brewers! Brewers! Keep knocking the Cardinals out of the playoffs while turning up the heat! That's awesome. Tip of the cap to you. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  14. Davis's line is crazy. 2 hits, 8 BB, 7 K and 1 run in 6 IP. Even I don't feel right calling that a 'quality' start.
  15. No need to explain. I get my hair cut at the West Towne Penney's myself. I don't mind since it's at the end of the mall, so I can get in and out without having to see too much stuff. Back to the topic...on the way in to the Penney's salon this evening, I had to pass a Christmas tree display. On September 28. That bugged me.
  16. Ambercrombie & Fitch. One of many reasons why I try to avoid shopping at the mall. They probably have some coolness detector that would sound a klaxon as soon as I stepped inside. So I don't even try.
  17. Have the bats awakened just knowing that Butch will be gone soon? Whatever. If I'm dreaming, don't wake me up.
  18. Saturday's game is on FOX; the others on FSN.
  19. Well let's spoil the Cardinals season. Or at the very least, make them work for whatever they get. Please, Doug. Don't make it too easy for them! Do it for me! On edit: At the absolute very least, keep the ex-Brewers down. Please! Especially Gary "Gritty Battler" Bennett. I'm up to here with ex-Brewers finding success against the Brewers.
  20. I don't really like Houston, but I hope they keep winning so that STL's only option is to sweep the Brewers. Though either way, the Brewers will spoil things for some division rival.
  21. Why can't Bush be this good consistently? Think of how many names you could swap for Bush in that sentence, and you've summed up a good bit of the 2006 season for the Brewers.
  22. Two things: 1. For the love of all that is photogenic, FSN...stop showing Prince and his mondo wad of gum. Yuck. 2. Henry freakin' Blanco. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  23. .....the neighbor across the street parked her car in that spot at least twice a week. There was space for us to park in front of her or behind her, etc, which was usually her explanation for it. Yeah, ok, the sidewalk leading to our house was right under the sign she was ignoring by parking there....thanks for the help. What an insensitive person. This reminds me of people who have treated my mother like crap because she is deaf. Part of me wants to wish an invisible disability on them, even for a day. This neighbor of yours, Todd...I can't even finish that sentence. But if there is such a thing as karma, she'll get some.
  24. Why did Ned not pull Turnbow after the 1-2-3 inning? I wonder the same. One baby step wasn't enough for the night? When was the last time, before his second inning of work last night, that Turnbow had a "good" relief outing? Geez, Ned.
  25. I'd like to once again register my outrage that Kevin Mench T-shirts are sold in the Fan Zone, while other Brewers are wholly unrepresented.
